iPhone 5 Available to ship:2 weeks / Delivers Oct 5

Ordered white 32gb on 9/14 at 5 am EST. i got the oct 5 deliver date. At about 7 pm last night my order went to processing for shipping and said I couldn't cancel. At 7 am EST this mornIng, the status is shipped with deliver scheduled on 9/27.

I totally believe Apple changed the status on everyone last night to prevent massive cancellations. I regret putting my faith in Apple. I should have not preordered and went out and found one. Oh well. Live and learn.

Everyone take a deep breath.

I ordered my two (AT&T Black 32 and 64) at 4:40am EDT. They're both processing. I'm not worried. They will be shippped and delivered when they can. Millions of phones take time to pack, scan and ship. If they're batched, I wouldn't think they're broken down to hour by hour. They're not trying to screw you by not having you stand in line.

Give Apple some credit...They've done this before.
 
Yes that is ups .... Need to check wife's email to see if apple sent anything... Ordered around 430am
 
I never saw the preparing to ship phase. Last night it wasn't there yet, this morning I got the shipping email with estimate of 27 September.

Hopefully there is no "embargo" on these shipments, so if it gets here faster maybe UPS will deliver it early.

And this allows me to activate it well in advance of leaving town.

Hopefully I won't be far behind. Switched to preparing for shipment overnight .. No tracking info yet

Were you able to get your tracking # before it changed to shipped?
 
I ordered a 32gb Black ATT at 3:21am CST and then a 16gb White ATT for my wife several hours later. Her's went into preparing for shipment last night and was shipped this morning. Mine is still in processing. :)

They'll be here eventually!

32gig white AT&T prepared for shipping.. Ordered 14th 640am et
16 gig white AT&T processing but ordered 630am ha

Anyone been able to find their tracking number by reference @ FedEx?
 
Yeah, here's to hoping. Ordered 8AM EST and in preparing for shipment. It's looking more and more like they will arrive next week.

Switched to preparing in the middle of the night, hoping it goes to shipped today.

Maybe this is just a coincidence and Apple isn't stopping cancellations...
 
mine still does not show preparing for shipping. if when i leave work it still isnt in shipping, im going to hit up radio shack and give it a shot

No just once it said shipped this morning I could track it
 
I did not try to track before apple changed to shipped... Did get apple email saying 27th.... Ups says today.....it's possible because of dateline but I find it unlikely....I'll update if it gets here ;)
 
I have one on a flight that left China at 6:58pm local time on the 21st - so it definitely isn't getting here today. The other phone is still processing so not coming together I guess...

I hope so too. No, couldn't get tracking # before it shipped.

The first scan in the UPS system was today in China around 618 am Eastern.

I just did a refresh on the UPS tracking page. Delivery by Sep 21 is not displayed anymore. Should be here nlt 27 Sep
 
I had to make two orders as well - My Black 32g ordered just before 5:00am CST on 9/14 is still processing and showing delivery for Oct. 5th.

My Wife's White 32g ordered just prior to that is now showing Preparing for Shipment, but retains the Oct. 5 delivery date.
 
Where are you guys getting these ETAs from? All I get on any tracking site or in ATT inventory at work is "Processing"
 
My ups page dropped the 21st date too when I refreshed.... Someone must have called and they caught the blooper.... Got excited for a minute there ..... Guessing it will be here Monday though now that it is in transit, there should not be any holds now that launch day is here
 
I had to do two separate orders for a 32GB ATT and Verizon IP5 last Friday. Did it at 6 am ET and got this Oct. 5 delivery date. Still says Processing. Got charged $103 each for the two phones on my card probably as a hold charge. Anyway, I'm bummed that it sold out so quickly that I didn't make today's delivery. Oh well, at least I get to decide whether to open them up when they get here in two weeks or exchange them for white ones if there are too any problems reported on the scuffing.
 
I have a voucher from the apple store from a friend of mine right now...but it says preparing for shipment, so can i cancel...or not?
 
There seems to be no sequence to the order in which they are shipping...I purchased 32GB black at 4:30AM EST and am still processing for Oct 5 delivery..seeing plenty of same phones from later orders changing to shipping earlier. I am in NYC so maybe the region has something to do with it. Would be depressing to think that someone who got a nice nights sleep and got up at their normal time ordered a phone and could get it a week earlier than me.
 
Btw ... Delivery date of 21st is gone but it was not replaced with anything.... Just shows last location.... Obviously I'll be checking through out the day so I'll post if it moves/changes
 
5:30AM EDT Black 16GB just changed to Shipped from China. 64GB White still preparing.
 
I went to the Apple Store in Freehold Mall around 7:45 am and the line was already over a hundred people. Was thinking to get it there and cancel my pre-order but I don't want to waste such a nice day in NJ waiting for a phone!
 
Glad I didn't go to Freehold! Marlboro resident here, hope to have these shipped preorders by next week!
 
Rusty... If you ordered at 430 i would expect you change to preparing to ship today... I am just a few minutes before you
