Caligurl .... Most likely these are all computer generated and you will see your status change today.... The algorithm probably is bouncing between carrier, color and gigs and probably shipping location too so they are only in order that way... Hang in there, only days away from getting it now
I'm pretty sure the October 5th date has always been a "worst-case" date from Apple, as in they promised that they would have it delivered no later than the 5th. They've obviously not updated their shipping estimates since it's been a full week now and still says "ships in 2 weeks" despite the fact that two weeks from now is also the estimated delivery date. If your phone is shipping today or even tomorrow then it should certainly be delivered by Wednesday at the ealriest and Friday at the latest.

I'll be glad when the ship screen moves off Irgun scan.....that's when we should have details on true arrival date.... Ups can be behind though, last year it showed anchorage ak on the same day I got it.... I imagine ups computers are maxed out this morning
Ok, I went to the AT&T store and they had plenty and the line was not long at all, me and my friend picked up the white 16GB and they ran out of the black iPhone, cancelled my order while in line at the store. Everything was golden and I'm happy to have an iPhone.
This whole mess is kind of depressing... it seems like Apple should either take orders online or have people wait in line at stores - but not both. I ordered just a few hours after midnight and my status hasnt changed one tiny bit! - still at the first stage. I should have just gone to a store to wait in line at this point :-/
Ordered 5 iPhones for family at around 11:30am central. All were Oct 5 now all have shipped as of today with tracking numbers!

REALLY irritated that people that ordered AFTER me are getting there's shipped before me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's the phone i ordered for hubby and i already felt bad i was getting mine today and he wasn't... but to see this just aggrevates me even further..... what ever happened to the concept of FIRST COME (ORDERED) FIRST SERVED (SHIPPED)?????????????
It's not just you. I'm still stuck in processing hell too and I ordered right after the cutoff at about 3:58am EST. White 64 GB.
I am in the same boat with the exception of 1 black and 1 white. Amazing how people who orderd 5+ hours after me already had their order ship...

For those who haven't gotten shipping notices, remember that they go by multi-channeled conveyor belts, multiple shipping an processing servers, etc. Somewhere in china there's a huge bin funneling down phones into many chutes, and some will get RF scanned before others. If it "ships" (gets loaded on a plane for evening takeoff) in two hours it is no different than if it ships now. Wait until tonight for the righteous indignation.

Here is my sad tale. I ordered 3 iPhones on order day. Two (mine and wife's) will be delivered today, but the one I ordered for my daughter (who has her own AT&T account) is set for delivery on 10/2. Well I thought I would surprise daughter, so I got up at 5:15 this morning and headed to Apple Store. Plan was to hopefully buy one there and cancel the original order. Well I sat in line for 2 hours and then the blue shirt came around. He said I couldn't buy the phone for daughter unless she has me listed on her AT&T account. Well no way I could contact daughter to call AT&T because she is a school teacher and she was with her kids by then. I asked fellow why apple.com, would let me order online but I couldn't buy straight from store and he said the store's are under a different set of rules than the online store. So I got up at 5:15 and went to all that trouble for nothing. Oh well, at least her original order is still in place.

on hubby's phone i felt so horrible..... then mine switched to the 5th so i was ticked... but at least both of us weren't getting them on the 21st... but then mine changed back to the 21st... so back to feeling bad, again.... i haven't told him that the status has changed at all.... i want to surprise him with his phone early... but it's still frustrating that later orders are updating first... *pout*
I ordered a black 16GB at 3:10 CST, my order has changed to preparing to ship, but card has not been charged.. Estimated delivery is still 10/5. Anyone get something similar?

I was later than you lol. ~2pm est is when I ordered on the 14th. If you've already shipped then that's good news. I should be expecting shipment by tomorrow hopefully
