Had a Oct 2 delivery date. Cancelled, walked to nearest apple store stood in line for 3 hrs and now i have my phone. It was a fun experience, they provided coffee and water and always were up for questions and discussions. I highly recommend ppl with Oct dates to cancel and walk into an apple store. They had alot of phones. Good luck!

I cancelled and received a confirmation email 30 minutes ago, just waiting for my eligibility to restore.
 
My guess is the movement in china shown this morning is from one warehouse to another.... Probably the airport..... Took mine 20 minutes to get there

It depends on the store. The last thing you want to do is cancel then try to go to a store and not be able to get one. If stores are short, you may as well wait until next week anyway. This is my dilemma.

My husband just reported to me that one of our stores (they're all 30-40 mins away) had 4k units and they sold out within 2 hours, including the preorders.
 
Anyone up on the time/date difference.... When was 1021pm on the 21st ... I'm on the east coast so was just curious how close to real time these are
 
My tracking was updated like yours. Calculating that service to Atlanta from China estimates delivery Wed or Thurs.

Just rcd the ATT email confirming my plan. Apple is still showing Oct 5 delivery....

White 64gb ATT ordered from Apple.com at about 9 am EST on the 14th

Still showing Oct 5th and still processing for me. Seems like the majority of the people still stuck in processing are 64 GB models.
 
Ordered on 14th at about 630am EST. Oct 5 ship date. CC charged this morning, and change to Preparing to ship. But no change in ship date as of yet.

Well, if your status has changed to "Preparing for Shipment" or "Shipped" your iPhone will be delivered next week. The Oct 5. date was just an initial rough estimate but once you have been charged and your item is ready for shipment, it's not going to sit there for the next two weeks, they are being shipped out.
 
ordered around 5:30 EST, changed delivery address same day around 2:30 EST...still no word. just processing. quite annoying. think the change of address affected my order?

Agreed-I'm waiting on two 64 GBs as well, one black and one white. I pre-ordered on the 14th about 45 minutes after it started. Last night both phones went to "Preparing for Shipment" with the same Oct. 5 delivery. However, my card has not been charged.

I'm hoping for the end of next week at the latest!

To make it more clear, i cancelled only after I got a ticket which was a guarantee that I would get the phone. Ya I would not recommend cancelling until you are 100% sure that you will get a phone.

A word of advice to anyone that has a shipping soon or preparing for shipment, my friend had this problem and the guy at the store said he would have to contact apple in order to cancel as they couldn't do it, but it could be cancelled. He had a two lines up for upgrade so he just did a switch around. We both with the line and the setup took about 45Mins for the whole process. The Apple store is packed with lines so if that's your plan good luck the carriers are your best choice. I hope this helps anyone that was asking about this. (PS: the maps look way better than the from the updates.)

EDIT: Friend just called apple to cancel and apple responded by saying that his iPhone was actually getting ready to ship, so he could not cancel.

As beautiful as the black is I've had experience with anadized aluminum wearing pretty quickly so I ordered white..... In short... If you ordered black then go to speck now and order your case, they just got them in.... I am liking the white candy shell grip but wanted to see a review first.... They also have the purl skin hd which I can say is excellent.... Just ready for a change if I can find one as good.

Heed my warning on the black phone though please.... It's just the nature of anadized .... Nothing apple can do about that except not to use it

Still processing

Ordered black 32 gb AT&T shipping to NYC, still processing as of this post. Placed order at 4:45 am CDT on the 14th
 
Called and got thru to apple. She said she anticipates anyone who is at preparing to ship to ship today with delivery on 9/27. PS, you cannot cancel through phone support after preparing to ship either. Bummer. Could've had one today but I guess waiting until next Thurs is way better than 10/5

You got a much more forthcoming rep than I did. When I called she pretty much stuck to black and white policy - order can't be cancelled and the 2 week window is there because of the size of the process chain. No glimmer of hope even when I pulled the "well the Applecare shows completed - how could they start the Applecare when the phone hasn't even shipped" (yes I know the Applecare won't really start until later but was trying to be dumb and upset to see if I could crack the line).

I gotta say that charging the card and freezing the order like that while still leaving the delivery date 2 weeks out is quite disheartening and very 'un-Apple like' to me. I'm encouraged that some Oct 5 people are starting to get tracking numbers but this is leaving a very bad feeling with me.
