Well, I lost the lottery it looks like.

It just switched within the last hour to Delivers Oct. 5th
Still "processing" though.

16gb White - Sprint
3:54am EST on Friday, September 14th

So if you're getting a 16gb from Sprint, you might be in for a bit of bad news...hopefully its only me. I am going to call and cancel, I'd rather take my chances snagging one in the wild at this point.

It was a fun experience, they provided coffee and water and always were up for questions and discussions. I highly recommend ppl with Oct dates to cancel and walk into an apple store. What the heck.. Anyone order a white 16 or 32 around 630-7am on the 14th with a "shipped" status?


Still preparing for 32 and 16 is still processing.. Come on...

Yes, changing your shipping address would delay. I called apple to change the shipping address to have it shipped to my parents house because I leave on the 5th...she told me it would cause a delay in my order so I left it as is and just hope it arrives before I go on vacation. :mad:

That change stopped me from getting a phone at the Apple Store, which still had them in stock..If I could have cancelled my order I'd have it now.

Ditto, only mine is a 16 Black ATT. Bumped to 10/5 from 10/2

I ordered 16Gb black on the 14th at 5:16am PST.

I got an email yesterday saying I needed to contact apple regarding my order.Called and nothing was wrong. This morning I received an email from AT&T "welcoming" me to my contract.

Apple site still showing processing Items, Ships in 2 weeks, Delivery Oct 5.

My Uncle went to the AT&T store at 6am this morning, with 14 people ahead of him in line. 8am walked in and got his phone :confused:
 
My order has been scheduled for Oct 3rd delivery since I placed it on friday morning at 3:30 am est, now it has been pushed back to Oct 5th !!!!!:mad::mad::mad:
 
One of mine have shipped. 16gb white ordered at 9:45am EST. My white 64gb still shows Oct 5th.

When I called she pretty much stuck to black and white policy - order can't be cancelled and the 2 week window is there because of the size of the process chain. No glimmer of hope even when I pulled the "well the Applecare shows completed - how could they start the Applecare when the phone hasn't even shipped" (yes I know the Applecare won't really start until later but was trying to be dumb and upset to see if I could crack the line).

I gotta say that charging the card and freezing the order like that while still leaving the delivery date 2 weeks out is quite disheartening and very 'un-Apple like' to me. I'm encouraged that some Oct 5 people are starting to get tracking numbers but this is leaving a very bad feeling with me.

Exactly how I feel. And there I was at the store where I could have gotten one today had Apple not pulled another fast one.
 
Another October 5 here. you guys still waiting having second thoughts about the black version? (I have black on order too.)

Not really.My 4 is chugging along just fine. It can wait two weeks.

More importantly :D, there seems to be no rhyme or reason, that is obvious, for the way they are shipping. I wouldn't be surprised if our processing status changes pretty quickly. If not... oh well.

I'll be getting a case, or maybe just a skin to cover it. The phone is so thin and light (I handled on in the store) that a skin is probably the way to go. The metal back is evidently very durable with respect to impact damage except for scratches. The glass front is apparently quite durable as well..so skins front and back ought to be enough and won't add weight or thickness, while keeping the phone in pristine condition for future resale.
 
On the phone right now with apple to find out why the date was pushed back, and why other orders placed well after mine are prepping for shipping and have a September delivery date. Will update when I get a answer.
 
I ordered on Oct. 14th at 5ish in the morning. It said estimated delivery around Oct. 5th but then mines changed this morning to Shipped. Guess i got lucky.

I think yours is going to ship real soon (my cc was charged yday and shipped today, est delivery went from 10/5 to 9/27), so look out for the shipping confirmation email from apple
