I'd get a new battery.

I guess it's not too bad, but my battery meter is jumping back and forth.

For example, before going to sleep I've checked how much % is left, it was 57. Then in the morning, after 5 minutes of usage it dropped exactly 20% in one second, to 37%, and then everything seemed fine, battery went slowly but steady. 2-3% in couple of hours, doing nothing. But then again, a few mins of usage, and I lost 10%, 34% to 24% IIRC.

I'll have to use my warranty (2 years in EU :p), hopefully they'll replace it with a new iPhone (I want to get rid of a visible scratch).

Thank you

Thanks guys.

I think I'm going to order the battery and tools from ifixit and try to replace it myself. Looks easy enough.

Any tips on what to do or what not to do?

Surprised to see my battery hold up after 517 cycles. I haven't had any random shut downs or anything like that. Always goes down to 1% before shutting off like it should.

This is for a 5s, but can someone tell me how this looks? I notice my phone is dying a lot faster. Could be more usage, but I figured I'd ask anyways

You can tell what it looks like by those numbers, that's basically what they are for. Seems like it's just fine.

I had problems with my iPhone 5 turning off on high percentages.

Took it to the Genius Bar today, they did a diagnostic test and said that everything was fine with the iPhone apart from the battery which was 'Cutting Out'.

I paid £55, waited an hour and had a new battery.

This just shows how important AppleCare is. If you go through a battery a year, would you rather pay $79 for the AppleCare, or $79 for a battery replacement? AppleCare of course needs to be bought within the first year, but it seems a lot of 5's are needing battery repairs and they are only (at the absolute max) 4 months out of warranty (16 months old).

Repeat the test several times in different charging conditions.
The indication is not that accurate, so you have to look at the trend.
Now is about 88% of original capacity! not so good after a few months, but Apple isn't going to service it until it drops below 80%.

I was right. There was a problem, something with charging. I was able to get only about 2-3 hours of usage, percentage would drop by 20%, 10% in just a second. So they've replaced my 1 year and 1 month old iPhone 5.

What sort of comments and especially advice can you really look for with those numbers?

Well, those numbers don't show any real issues.

this is really weird ... coz my battery is draining so fast. that it dies in 3 hrs ! without even doing anything with the phone !!

Then go back to the store and explain that to them, we can't fix your phone for you.

How are my numbers looking? it was a replacement from apple in August 13. Dont have many problems but have the odd day where it seems to run down fairly quickly (this usually coincides with a lot of whatapp actitvity so i put it down to this)
