Usualy get 7 hrs usage and 20 hrs standby on wifi. While on 3g i get 4,5 hrs usage..

7 hrs on wifi only is not a great result, but it's not so bad either (it depends on what you do).
4,5 hrs in 3G could be due to a weak signal strength in your area.
In the place where I work I can barely reach 5 hrs in 3G, while in the place where I live, with a strong signal strength, I can reach 7-8 hrs ....

How about on wifi, how do you get?

Not bad for the number of cycles.

Here is mine 5s from launch day. Capacity is back and fort. BTW my charging habit is not good I always charge it only when the battery is dead. Read from here that some guys get good battery life after full discharge and full recharge but for the lithium battery it's not good charging it that way. So what is the real comparison of deep and shallow charge??

Not a real comparison available, but you are surely stressing your battery a little bit.

That looks really good, having in mind your cycle count is almost 500! How are you taking care of the battery?

Not sure I sold my original iphone 5 and re bought another (current) about two months ago .. When jailbreak became available again.

But in general I run it down about once a month but otherwise use and charge as needed.

iPhone 5s, in use since late October last year. iOS 7.1 installed on release date.

New/Refurb iPhone 5

Hiya,

I Got a new / Refurb iPhone 5 from Apple due to a screen issue. Not bad considering it is 6 months out of Warranty (No applecare) and was free. Anyway here is stats on the new one...

Battery

CycleCount: 1
DesignCapacity: 1430
FullChargeCapacity: 1375
Status: Success
BatteryCurrentCapacity: 66
BatteryIsCharging: true
ExternalChargeCapable: true
ExternalConnected: true
FullyCharged: false
GasGaugeCapability: true

Rather shocked a brand new battery can only hold 96%, guess that's batteries for you.

It takes at least a few cycles for batteries get to their full potential capacity. Full capacity is also the full spec capacity it doesn't always mean it's exactly that physically. The app is more of an estimate than a true actual measurement anyway.

How typical is 18% capacity loss after 20 months?

I got my iPhone 5 in September 2012. iBackupBot reports 18% of the capacity has been lost since then. Cycle count is 390.

Is this typical? Better than average? Worse than average? Just wondering how good my battery is compared to others. :)

(Corrected my post, I did mean September. No, I didn't get the phone a month early!)

Try another measurement with the battery fully charged, to confirm.
Your battery is old, you are approaching the 500 cycles that are quite a lot.

I'm pretty sure apple says 300 cycles and you should have 80% of capacity so it seems about there.

500 cycles ....
