Anybody who has around 1000 mAh or less according to ibackupbot should take it to their nearest genius bar if possible (even if your warranty has lapsed). It seems to me that there were some bum batteries on the iPhone 5. I had 200 cycles on mine and it was being reported as ~900 mAh at full charge. Apple swapped it out and the genius said his tests showed it was only around 40% of the original capacity.

My phone is under applecare+ but to me this is a defect in the battery and if you are nice to the genius, I bet they will make it right for you.

Well i got this from a 1 month old iphone 5 32GB :S

Battery:

CycleCount: 15
DesignCapacity: 1430
FullChargeCapacity: 1361
Status: Success

BatteryCurrentCapacity: 35
BatteryIsCharging: true
ExternalChargeCapable: true
ExternalConnected: true
FullyCharged: false
GasGaugeCapacity: true

I bought my iPhone 5 in november last year:

CycleCount: 261
DesignCapacity: 1430
FullChargeCapacity: 1043

So this is bad, right?

I received my replacement phone yesterday:

CycleCount: 1
DesignCapacity: 1430
FullChargeCapacity: 1365

How do you guys charge yours? Plug it in after it drains and shuts down or before that?

When I read the results of 5/5s , I feel good with my 4S...:

What do you think about my 2 years old device?

Thank you for this thread. I wouldn't have known about this nifty app if not for it.:apple:

Another launch day iPhone 5:

CycleCount: 286
DesignCapacity: 1430
FullChargeCapacity: 1229
Status: Success
BatteryCurrentCapacity: 74

It'd be interesting if this data could be submitted somewhere and statistics could be generated. :)

my 5 looks like this. is this bad ? only had this for a little over a year. do you think apple will still fix it ? thanks.

then smash your iphone on the floor and cause a scene!

Iphone 5 bought on November 2.11.2012

Cycle Count - 279
Design capacity - 1430
Full Charge Capacity -1179
don't know if it's good or bad. But few days ago had cycle count 267 and full charge capacity at 1211. In the last 2-5 days to loose 1211-1179 =32 with 12 cycles. Is this good?
I still have 1 year guarantee from orange my provider. I've lost the Apple guarantee thinking and still checking my iPhone's battery life. Now setting as new the battery life is better in iOS 7.03 but with iOS 7 and iOS 7.2 battery life sucked.
dunno if i'm going to orange to check if they can do something.

This is my battery I bought my iphone 5 on December 15 after the official factory unlocked ones came out.

My launch day iPhone 5:

CycleCount: 443
DesignCapacity: 1430
FullChargeCapacity: 649

Don't think it's normal after a year. :(

Your battery is done .... How many usage hours can you reach ?

Btw 443 cycles in one year are a good number.

Warranty is one year, so they are not going to fix it for free .... you have to pay 79$ ...

Your battery isn't new anymore, but it isn't so bad at 1100-1200 (measurement are not accurate, so forget about 1179-1211 variation).
Wait if it drops below 1000 to have a maintenance check.

iPhone 5 I guess that's alright, I've had it since launch.
CycleCount: 555
DesignCapacity: 1430
FullChargeCapacity: 1213

How do you charge/discharge your iPhone?
What's your cycle?
Looks good :) 555 cycle counts and full charge capacity at 1213. How is your usage and standby?[

Had this replaced in March, so it's only about 9 months old:

Cycle count: 345
Design Capacity: 1430
Full Charge Capacity 998
Status: Success

Looks pretty poor if I'm honest, and admittedly my battery isn't the best in real usage as well. Oh well.
