I'd rather pull my own tooth than camp out overnight for an electronic device. How do they explain this obsession to their girlfriends? Oh wait...

****in iLosers need to get an iLife

Um. They have a life. They get to go hang out and socialize with fellow Apple enthusciasts, while being able to afford a pricey piece of tech. Doesn't seem like they're losers to me.

If I could take off from work tomorrow, rest assured I'd be out there being an iLoser, too. It certainly beats sitting on an online forum, experiencing it vicariously.

I don't know how pre-orders work in different cities, but here i ordered mine the first day and they said it's not guaranteed i will get it first, promised within 2 weeks from launching day, that means i might still wait for another 2 weeks
Maybe that's why the only way to get it first is to be in one of those lines :apple:

Spoken like a TRUE iSheep.

Mac People like hanging out with each other

It's a big part of the Apple brand that Jobs reestablished it. A cult, but a cult like a poet or musician has -- not fan boys, but FANS. You should go down and watch what goes on at an Apple store, to see a real marketing operation -- the secret is service! -- and to see the very wide variety of Mac and iDevice fans.

I think that will last to some degree as long as there is an Apple that contains the basics of the Apple idea. Compete on their ground. Go ahead, you try.

I actually am waiting for my iPhone to be delivered UPS tomorrow, but last time my girlfriend dropped me off and picked me up at the Apple Store when I got my iPad :)

Video of some moron standing out in front of store, opening box, dropping it multi times and doing a stupid demo of it breaking (or not) in 4.....3....2......

Seriously.. what's worse? Waiting in line with other fans for a device

Typing in 'macrumors.com' to troll and make fun of said fans. What do people expect someone who visits macrumors to be like?! Not exactly your average consumer :)

This is where Apple beats any competitor >> Marketing<<
Athough there are better phones out there noone can market the brand as good as Apple !
I went to one of the major stores first day when Galaxy S3 came out expecting a line for Samsung's biggest hit ...... i was alone and noone behind me!

Well done Apple in that dept. ;)

Every iPhone has had less features than other phones. It's not what you include but what you leave out that allows for a better experience. Instead of trying to be the first to market with tech that will degrade the desired experience, they make decisions based on what maintains the best phone.

Curious to see how the stock will be at the stores. With shipping pushed back as far as it is right now, I'd imagine there would be limited stock to the point that many stores will sell out.

Always amazes me how stupid some people really are. Queueing through the night to buy a phone. At least they won't be queuing where I live because both malls with AppleStores in are closed and it's pouring down with rain right now.

Dont suppose I'd have any luck as a walk-in some time late next week at any of the London stores would I? Wanted to grab an iPhone 5 before I go away in October :(
