Remember when Sprint FINALLY got the iPhone and they signed that $15.5B iPhone contract? I'm really curious if part of that deal ensured that Sprint would be given enough launch inventory to fulfill their early orders.
Over on the ATT.com side then people are getting screwed over left and right. Order a 6+ at midnight on ATT.com, get a Late Oct delivery date. It seems like its because Apple hoarded all the inventory for ATT devices so its really got to be upsetting to those customers. But what about Sprint? Honestly, with issues like CDMA. Easy Pay. Small userbase. Shortlived progams like Framily/OneUp/SERO. etc then I could really see Apple preferring not to deal with Sprint upgrades themselves.
What do you think? Wishful thinking or crazy thoughts. I really hope that Sprint fulfills early but I've been a customer too long to have that much faith...
I was also hitting refresh over and over and my order never went through but from my understanding from talking to a rep that they set aside a number of devices for online orders, telesales, and in store orders. So if they max out of orders for online you can still get a device in store on release day if you went into the store and that store hadn't exhausted their pre-order quota.Yeah and I'd be a little pissed if in store preorders got priority over us crazies that were hitting refresh over and over at 3am.

I have no idea how you guys got through. I was able to click the pre-order button a minute before midnight, and I was at the check out. But then the site kept crashing. I'm thinking it's because, I had to add a new line to my plan, and that was an extra step that made it really hard. Anyways, the site just came to a standstill for me, and I tried non stop for 4 + hours. I had no luck whatsoever. I even tried calling.
What sucks is, I actually broke my phone 3 weeks ago. And so I've been almost a month without a phone, which has been difficult. I don't have a spare or backup either. =/ So I really really really wanted to get in on the pre-order so I could get it on the 19th. Usually I'm not that gung ho to get something new. I can totally wait, and it's not a big deal to me. I don't have to be a day one kind of girl. But sigh.
Anyways long story short, I ended up getting ahold of Sprint on the 12th around 8am PST, I could not get ahold of anyone prior, I was on the phone for 4 hours and finally gave up and went to bed. After more hours of waiting, I finally got someone on the phone at 10am, and I was able to get my order in for my 12gb Space Gray iPhone 6 +.
But my order # in the tracking section of the site has not been updated. There is no status. No tracking #. Nada. I'm really thinking that it won't be until mid October that I get mine, given that Sprint seems to be having issues with iPhone 6 + in general, but specifically the 12gb models. =/ This whole thing has been really stressful, and aggravating. They already charged me the full amount too, so now I'm feeling really dumb. Like, maybe I should have just went and lined up in person at a store on release date, since I need the phone quicker than other people. But it's too late now. I already spent my money. The order is in.
Do you guys really think that I could show up to a store, line up for hours..and possibly sprint will let me have a phone if I show them my order #? Can they update the order in the store computer to be fulfilled? It kind of sucks that, some stores might have iPhone 6 + when they can't even fulfill the pre-orders they did online. But such is the way of allocation.
Its a gamble for sure. I would not chance it since Ive read that supply is very limited. I went through the mobile site at 5 AM as the mobile site was working, but had to finalize order on the main site. I went back to sleep then woke back up at 8. Then finalized the order on the main site. Worked like a charm and finalized at 8:45 PST (which is 15 minutes before the cutoff time). Got the same status as people who got through earlier. Fingers crossed it works.
Ordered my 6 yesterday and on track for 9/19 delivery......... Hopefully
Frankly i have very high doubts that they will have the device, this is why we have this time frame, the device is on a very high demand and Apple is struggling to honor these orders.
Woo! My iPhone is preparing for Shipment now!!

I was just in a chat with a customer service rep and they told me that no iPhone Plus models will be available in stores or for delivery until 3 weeks from now. He also said that online orders would be fulfilled first whenever they receive inventory. So yea, looks like all of us Plus buyers will have to wait a bit.
Yeah same thing I was told. Although they said that some will be waiting 4-6 weeks. So it seems like, even those that got their orders early in will be 3 weeks, anyone else that ordered outside of the 8 hour time window after midnight, are probably in the 4-6 week range.
It seems like they were expecting delays before pre-orders even were open (apple didn't have the stock to provide them to make release date). And they won't have them in store at launch.
That's BS and false advertisement. If I would of known that I would of waited for apple.com servers to open up...they shouldn't of charged my credit card if they new they couldn't make the promise for 9/19. I woke up at 3am for nothing? Class action lawsuit time.

They didn't promise anybody 9/19 deliveries. You're being irrational.
So I think I ordered a 6 NOT a 6+...wtf.
To be one of the firsts to get a device. Nobody, not even sprint, knows how much stock sprint was going to have. I guess the rumors about production problems with the plus were true. I'm just glad that I will have one within 3 weeks and not 4-6 weeks. So why did I wake up at 3am? Besides being crazy
Thank you. LolThe same reason I did to pre order the phone. I don't recall being promised any delivery date. There is no guarantee if you stand in line either how does that equal class action lawsuit? I hate people that resort to lawsuits over triviality, grow up. You will get your toy eventually temper tantrums won't change anything
