What I find even more disturbing than the iDiots standing in line, is the Apple store drones applauding.

Why are they applauding? Has somebody just discovered a cure for pancreatic cancer?

No, the are applauding the sale of a disposable electronic gadget, made by child-slaves in China.

Think different!

Hey I've got a bag of kittens you can beat with a koala if you want something more disturbing than people being happy and expressing excitement. Everyone can't work on a cure for ebola. Lighten up bud.:D People get excited about things large and small. Everything doesn't have to be equated to "this is more important". I mean you're posting on the internet when you could be pulling a dolphin out of an abandoned minefield in Cambodia or saving Global Warming from ISIS.

Besides, the world needs a little happy. :)

Flippin heck, stores in Oz only getting ONE iphone 6 plus unit?!!

"iPhone 6 launch day, what to expect", Australia getting no stock, typical.

I had a somewhat inappropriate joke about the look of the buildings but I won't go there. 2 questions. 1. Is that Apple Maps? 2. Were those images rendered with a crayon?

Just for peace of mind tell me it's not Apple Maps.;)

Apologies to all for threadjacking but those images...

Apple Maps, I used the sketch filter on it. (Sarcasm)

There is another picture from above.

*yawn* Aren't you edgy.

I have a friend waiting in line at an AT&T store in Orlando, FL, and supposedly they have only 3 6+ 64GB's, 1 in each color, and a few more of other storage capacities that they didn't specify. I am on Verizon, and their stock will no doubt be more limited than AT&T, so I said to heck with it and just preordered a 6+ 128 GB, with shipping date of 10/17 per Apple, so I'm ok with that.

I think the 6+ is going to be a Unicorn tomorrow! Congrats to those who land one.

When I was 16 I waited in line overnight for concert tickets, was some of the best times I ever had and met the friends I hung out with for a few years after that, granted, I'm 32 now, and like my beauty sleep, but I could imagine this being really fun.

Ah yes, being the same age I can say that was really the last year one could do that before the Internet caused concert tickets to sell out in 45 seconds.

wow, who would have thought people would get this excited over a Phone + other stuff, I know this a revolution but that was back in god knows when, can't we just say "ok, the feeling has worn off" or withe every since good feature or bigger display, that feeling will never end.?

I dunno, maybe calm down on the whole "excited" thing a bit ?

Like this happy customer :-

yay,,, we're finally on the map !! :)

It wouldn't have mattered if the screen had Sapphire, people would still find a way to break it.

What if I want to walk in with my shiney new 6 plus that I'm picking up at UPS at 9am, to check out cases and get Apple Care +?
Will I have to wait in line for that?

Just go in after say 10:30am or so and you should be fine.

I'm looking forward to finding out if the T-Mobile's are unlocked like they were last year (and Apple wasn't saying prior to launch like this year)…as I have a 6 arriving at work.

As to the folks bemoaning "the crazy one's" who are standing in line for opening day, it is different from what most folks would consider reasonable or want to do - but if its no skin off your nose, let them have their fun (it takes all kinds). Great to see the photo's from Australia coming in…

You know, whatever floats your boat. Although I don't understand the whole frenzy of standing in line and dealing with all the store madness. I do find it quite fascinating that every launch has been this way.

For me, it's all about taking it easy. Expect to receive my 64 GB iPhone 6 Plus tomorrow, from the comfort on my own home.

I will open the box and restore the data from my iPhone 5S. I will start using the new phone, enjoying the nice screen, upgraded camera, battery life, and features of iOS 8. Life is good, life goes on. It's just a phone. :)

Thanks for letting us know how awesome your life is and how big losers the rest of us are. Especially since you have to take time out of your awesome life to post on this forum and let us all know.

I have to say as well, this phenomena of standing in line for new device is pathetic.
No matter how you explain it.
If a grownup man with work and family sit on a sidewalk for days like a bum just to get some electronic device, this is sad and pathetic.

My local AT&T corporate store in Cary, NC was told that they should not even expect any of the 6+, so 1 unit in each color is actually more than they probably expected.

Would there be devices on display at the stores tomorrow? I just want to try the sizes before deciding one way or the other.

I have to say, I find it a bit pathetic that people have nothing better to do with their lives than wait overnight or in line for hours just for a phone. This isn't some miracle, it's just a phone. When the first iPhone came out, I could understand. It was an amazing new never seen before product. "we added a larger screen, a better camera" (people rush to get it line) Similar situation with the iPad.. Can't see any reasonable person waiting for a watch though.. Don't people have a social life or a job, or something to do?

I waited once for 2 hours for my MacBook Pro 4 years ago on tax free weekend. I was then told if I had purchased online, I still could have avoided sales tax. That's my regret. That was when I has 14 and only had a paper route. Now I have a real job.

I'm sorry but..it's something about Apple. They got the magical touch.
