hmmm, at least you got the email. I ordered at 3:05am EST from the AT&T webpage (iPhone 6+ 64GB, white/silver) and have not gotten the email yet :-(

for those who were able to order, have you guys gotten your confirmation email/s from apple?

Thanks!

Anyone know how to order a full price on ATT for in store pick up? Its only letting me add a new line or do their Next plan

Apple never sells contract free versions for the 3 major carriers as pre-orders. I just bought the AT&T next version, and will pay it off when i get it. quickest way to get a launch day contract free phone.

This post will probably get buried, and lost (maybe it need's it's own thread)

SO ... I think Apple tried something different this launch to avoid the single massive slam of internet traffic; and it's not working so well.

It appears that Apple may have selected IP's hitting the site and assigned them to holding blocks. As the current X # of acceptable internet traffic users finish ordering then IP's in holding blocks are allowed into the store.

THIS explains why some people in CA can't order but some people can, some people in NY etc.... other states ... same thing.

NOW the solution became a real time problem for Apple. Active users can't complete orders, communication issues with carrier sites, etc. I think Apple lost control of order. Some IP's are getting through... some IP's are still waiting for the Apple online store to open! 3 hours after launch!

(when I say IP I mean people on a web browser)

who ever came up with this brilliant Que system should quit before he/she gets fired.

this!
i dont think it had anything too do with browsers or caches or incognito windows..UK all was going at same time, West Coast, and then bang at 530 east coast...2 1/2 later finally for me hahah

Finally!!!! Verizon website, iPhone 6 Gold 16GB
9/19 and iPhone6 plus silver 16GB 9/19
Keeping my fingers crossed they don't push back my shipping date
Confirmed about 25 minutes ago

I had called verizon about a seperate issue on Thursday (currently out of the US). They volunteered to place an order for me first thing Friday morning in the US - about 24 hours later or so.

They called me shortly after 3 AM US ET to confirm the order. Confirmation email with scheduled delivery date arrived about a minute later.

No fuss, no muss, best preorder experience ever! 128GB 6+ with a delivery date of 9/19.

Apple store chat rep said that the T-mobile version is locked to T-mobile and will not work with AT&T. Weird, this is what they said on chat just a minute ago.

"However, what you can do, is ring TMobile, since there is no contract. Ask them what you need to do to use on another carrier."

"I understand, there are many rumors out there. I can assure you initially the iPhone for TMobile is a TMobile iPhone and is locked."

"However, give TMobile a ring about using on other carriers."

According to T-Mobile, if you bought the phone from Apple directly, it is not locked. It is indeed locked if you bought it from T-Mobile.

Ordered two t-mobile phones through the Apple Store website. Couldn't get them on any subsidy that way, so I may see if I can't get ones from t-mobile with their plan and return the apple ones. In any case, that's over, going to bed.

Just did the same!!! 1x iphone6 64gig space grey for 749. Funny is, when I called them yesterday they told me they are not selling the unlocked full price on pre-oder... Motherfathers

WOW 10/19 is BAAADDDD!! lol

So again, I was commenting that if you purchased through TMobile, not the Apple Store, that their phones are actually locked. Although I have never purchased an iPhone through TMobile. So it's not as if the previous poster is spouting random lies.

I got a confirmation email almost immediately after placing my order from the apple US web site. Although the order is still in the first stage of "being processed".

Is "Contract-Free" unlocked?

I mean, if you order the iPhone 6 which is Tmobile "Contract-Free", will you be able to use it with any SIM?

Got through on the iPhone Apple Store App about an hour ago. The shipping dates for the 6+ 128gb Space Grey AT&T were already pushed back to October. Luckily it was available for pick up next Friday at the Apple NYC 5th Avenue Store. Got it reserved there. Looks like I'll be taking a trip to Manhatten next week :)

You have a device to your name, don't need to queue on the 19th.

So I can roll up, mid-afternoon, with a mall pretzel and soda in my hand, walk past all the sad people who don't have phones, and walk out with the one I reserved to get on the 19th!

:eek::eek::eek: :cool::cool::cool:

It seems the 64gb iPhone 6 plus is the most popular, I see a lot of people around with 16gb and 128gb that ordered after me with release date delivery.

I'm not claiming to know exactly how they tried to curve traffic. I don't work at Apple. It was probably based on geography, and other factors. Maybe Apple tried to factor certain IP's slamming refresh relentlessly and gave them little leeway as well. who knows.

lucky. i still feel as if im in limbo cuz theyre being processed and can be seen under my account but no confirmation from apple (HK) yet. And that was like 45 mins ago.

And think of all those people camping out at the New York store! You'll have your iPhone in hand before they have theirs.
