If buying unlocked right now:

All iPhone 6 models are now 7-10 days shipping.

All iPhone 6 Plus models are now 3-4 weeks shipping.

for those who were able to order, have you guys gotten your confirmation email/s from apple?

Thanks!

Yes, it was almost instant. Ordered 15 min ago: 4.7" space grey iPhone 6 T-Mobile, with the pick up date of 9/19.

So I can roll up, mid-afternoon, with a mall pretzel and soda in my hand, walk past all the sad people who don't have phones, and walk out with the one I reserved to get on the 19th!

😱😱😱 😎😎😎

I don't think they'll let you in the store with a drink!!! 😉

Took about an hour to get on, but ATT let me order a 6 AND a 6 plus. The 6 will be available for pickup in store on 19th and the plus says 14-22 days before it is shipped.

Finally I managed to order two small ones - both 64 gb T-Mobile contract free, one Gold, one Space Gray. I used Chrome (on a Chromebook) and the site eventually came up for me around 2:30am PST, two and a half hours later than expected. The wait was annoying especially since they seemed to give priority to people who want to finance the phone and lock into contracts. I mean, my cousin was able to upgrade his AT&T line within 30 minutes of kick-off using the App directly on his current iPhone. Whatever.
I originally intended to buy one small and one Plus size, but the Plus seems to be back-ordered already. It doesn't give you a ship date until you add it to your cart. It may say 7-10 days on the main selector page, but when you add it to your cart and go to pay it will say October.
Also, I advise everyone on AT&T to have their current iPhones unlocked by filling out the form on their site. It increases resale value by a lot. Or keep it around, might come in handy if you travel and want to use international SIM cards.

Apple never sells contract free versions for the 3 major carriers as pre-orders. I just bought the AT&T next version, and will pay it off when i get it. quickest way to get a launch day contract free phone.

I had (on the AT&T web site) the option to buy the AT&T phone at full price (I have the Next plan, but always had full price phones without installments)

it would let me choose contract, Next, or contract free, but after i would hit the Pre-order button it would take me to a different selection screen that only had contract and NEXT options.

Yes. The question is whether that's actually an unlocked phone.

It is Contract Free, as in, you don't have to have a contract to buy the phone, however, it is not Unlocked....which means you can use it on T-Mobile, but this won't be working on Verizon or AT&T without at least 2 months of T-Mobile Service.

Please Help!

How can I edit an order if I didn't use an Apple Account but guest?

I can view the order, but can't modify since it tells me to sign in but I didn't use the sign in?!

Reserved my phones: 64 Silver+, 128 Slate+.

I've never ever paid so much for my phones. Current plan is $70. For the 6, I'm entering $90+ territory.

man i wish Apple would have stuck with their original business model of only selling un-subsidized, contract free phones.

It showed the full price option for me under the NEXT options .... however, I just checked with my son's phone (under the same contract) and there it only shows the installments ... wired (but he is not getting a new one anyway - but it should show the full price option too since his phone was also bought full price)
