WTF - I just got the confirmation email from AT&T for my order from 3:05am EST and it says:

Thank you for your purchase from the Premier Online Store and for choosing AT&T as your wireless service provider.

Your Apple iPhone 6 Plus (64GB Silver) has been reserved and will ship within 21 - 28 business days. Your iPhone has been reserved. All orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Your order may be subject to AT&T eligibility and credit requirements. If we have any questions about your eligibility or your order, we will contact you via email.

WTF ... they never mentioned that they don't have any of those (don't think they can have been sold out that fast .... anyone got the same model, color, size and got it earlier ???? ). They should have said it on the web page - than I would have tried on the apple site.

It took a little effort, but...

I finally was able to place an order with AT&T Next for 6 plus/128GB/Space Grey to replace my iPhone 5 that was stolen a week ago. I've been without a phone since, and will be without one for another 2-3 weeks based on AT&T's current shipping estimates.

A couple glitches I encountered:

1. I got an error on my initial order attempt for a 64GB model. Tried again and opted for 128GB and received successful confirmation. A short time later, I got confirmation on the first order attempt. Looks like I may need to call and cancel the first.

2. The order confirmation noted that I will lose my grandfathered "unlimited" data plan in exchange for a selected mobile share plan. I've been considering the change since I avg. about 1-2 GB of data/mo., but would have preferred to retain the "unlimited" option for now.

I finally got mine! Got the 6+ 64g through the apple app. Did AT&T Next so I can upgrade to the 6S when it comes out.

Shipping est between Oct 1-6th. Hopefully that is bumped up

Contract-free

It is Contract Free, as in, you don't have to have a contract to buy the phone, however, it is not Unlocked....which means you can use it on T-Mobile, but this won't be working on Verizon or AT&T without at least 2 months of T-Mobile Service.

If you purchase a T-Mobile iPhone 6/6 Plus from the Apple Store and pay FULL RETAIL for it, then it is factory unlocked. If you purchase it from T-Mobile, and you pay FULL RETAIL, then it is factory unlocked. IF it IS NOT unlocked, you can request for it to be unlocked and there would be NO I REPEAT NO wait for unlock period of 40+ days.

It is ONLY locked if you buy it with Jump AND are making monthly payments and/or get it subsidized through T-Mobile. IF you make monthly payments on a T-Mobile device, then you have to wait 40+ days to call in and request an unlock. And even then they have a list of requirements for it like if you owe money on your account and other factors.

Please get your facts straight if you plan on providing information that can help/hurt others! Hope this helps.

Well I was able to get my wife's phone through the Apple Store App on her 5s. She got the 6 Plus 64GB Silver with delivery of 09/19.

I was having trouble ordering my phone but it finally went through. Same phone as hers but delivery of Oct 1-6...oh well.

This was a terrible pre-order this year.

Interesting to see how many people are ordering the 6 Plus. It will be interesting to see which model is the more popular of the 2.

I ordered from Apple website and got to keep my unlimited data.

People last year had the same problem. They called AT&t customer service and had the CSR change it back to unlimited.

The Apple Store web site finally came up for me around 2:30AM Pacific

I was able to place an order for the contract free Silver 128GB 6 Plus (delivery was already out to 7-10 business days for all the 6 Plus configs at this point and in store pickup unavailable.)

Just waiting for the confirmation e-mail (order status on their site is currently unavailable likely due to the volume of orders going through so it might take a few hours to get that e-mail.)

128 GB Silver iPhone 6 T-Mobile Unlocked ordered :) 19th is the delivery on the email.

This is either a policy change (T-Mobile) or it varies depending on the associate you get. They wouldn't unlock my device when I bought it last December until the 40 days, I only tried calling once as I had no intent on leaving anyway.

Also on Apple's site it still shows the 6's available for 9/19 delivery while the Plus's are slipping to 3-4 weeks. Less inventory on the Plus or higher demand then anticipated?

I think those ordering the Plus are people that don't want to have (or cannot afford) both a phone and a tablet.

They are also providing good entertainment value for others when taking calls - for those in the UK, I can't help thinking of this:

Ordered my gold 128Gig unlocked iPhone 6 for release day.... Just couldn't bring myself to order the larger one. I so badly want the better battery life, the higher PPI screen, and the OIS camera but holy cow I'll look stupid talking on it, it'll probably cause me to run over a child while using GPS driving, and it hardly would fit in my pocket when in a case... man why did Apple have to cave and go big? Couldn't they have gone home instead and played with a 400+ PPI phone that wasn't much larger then the outgoing 5S?!

Also, yay for spending over $1,000 and knowing I'll be slightly disappointed every time I look at my battery life knowing I could have had an extra 10 or 20% if I have just selected the other one (and waited three to four weeks...)

Maybe you should stop thinking.

I have two ipads, 4 and Air, and ordered both 128 gig iphones, 6 and 6+, just for me.

6+ daily driver during work hours an 6 for weekends.

no problems via apple store website via safari 3:30am pst

verizon 3gig data, ip6 plus grey/64, switching from sprint, applecare+, delivery est oct 1-6

Well I just finally got the email confirmation from AT&T and it said phone will ship between 21-28 days. Lmao now let's see how long my apple order take whoever gets to my door first will be the keeper

3-4 weeks for the 128GB 6+ to arrive from the Apple store.
Forget that. I may go launch day and take my chances.
How likely is it that Apple will get stocks in before the 3-4 week estimate?

Not I have a tablet and a laptop but sometimes I don't want to lug around with 2 devices. The plus is the next best thing since I won't have to squint as much lol I got bad eyes

I myself have an iPad and iPad mini.

The 6 Plus is going to be my main while my 5S (awesome form factor BUT have been waiting for a larger screen size) is going to be my Japan phone (no more sim swapping).

The landscape mode for the 6 Plus pushed me over the edge (I use data more than I do voice so it's only going to be a few rare moments when I have that 5+" block up to my head anyway).

I'm getting the 6+ because the primary use of my phone (iPhone 5) is to surf the net, text, listen to music and watch movies. I use the phone probably less that 5% of the time.
I'd go so far as to say if Apple hadn't have made a bigger phone I probably would have jumped ship to Galaxy Note.

64GB iPhone 6 Space Gray T-Mobile

Gave up on T-Mobile's site. Ordered from Apple and it says "delivery on September 19", so that's nice.
Seems like they plan to have plenty of stock of 6's; sorry to those who are seeing 6+ delays already.
