Compared to the 5, the curved edges and thinness of the 6 make it a work ot technical art... I picked gold, put it in a clear case and not as beautiful as naked, it's still georgeous. :)

SG 6 Plus 64GB. Naked for now but carried in my organizer.

I have an Otterbox Commuter case for my SG 6 64GB and find it better for holding in my hand. Without the case, it feels ridiculously flimsy and I'm afraid it'll slip out of my hands. What cases do you use?

I love the way it looks without a case though... All iPhone are naturally stunning. It's a shame we have to put cases on them!

I agree; I have always loved the iPhone's without cases! They're the epitome of elegance.

I currently only use Invisible Shield on my phone; I figured that if I dropped the phone, I could use my warranty to replace it if anything was broken.

I wouldn't say ridiculously flimsy. Does feel a little defferent at first but once u get use to it, it's fine. The Otterbox adds to much bulk to that beauty and is overkill if u ask me. My wife rocks this case on hers from CaseMate and its a great feel in the hands for sure. And it eliminates the slippery feeling of the phone at the same time. The Otterbox Commuter is not bad at all, unlike the defender that's just over kill, unless u are going to the battle field maybe?

I mean, I guess it depends on what you're used to, right? Yes, the Otterboxes unfortunately do NOT allow iPhones to retain their sleek and sexy forms. How thick is that CaseMate? And I agree, the Defender is overkill... Ha.

Was trying to look on the packaging to see if there is any spec's but there is none. My wife is not here now. But will do some measuring when she gets home and get back to u. The model is naked tough. It's a double layer case with TPU around the edges and polycarbonate sounding it, with stainless steel buttons which gives it a really nice feel when pressing the power and volume rockers. My wife had a couple of missops with her phone falling from her apron at her job no PB, it's a pretty tough case and it's a little slimmer than your Commuter case I think. This is the bulkest of several cases that I have for my 6+ and it way smaller than the Defender and does a great job protecting my phone. Its called the UAG Maverick.

Thanks so much for the info. Please let me know!

I've been an otter box user for five or six years, and after getting tired of waiting decided to try the Spigen Slim Armor out since the local Verizon store had them in stock. I must admit I really like it, and I've dropped it once. It was the softest sounding drop I've ever heard compared to previous otter box cases. It didn't even leave a mark on the case. Pretty satisfied.

Nice

Gorgeous phone. Superior in every way. Now Apple just has to get rid of those BEZELS Yes it's been mentioned a thousand times in different threads but it would really make a big difference

After a year away from iOS, just ordered my 6+...and sticking with Rokform for my case. Incredible cases and mouonting system that works in my car, on my bikes and love the included magnetic mount option (perfect when in the garage).

Agree Had Rokform on my previous iPhones. And was waiting to what they would offer for the 6+. But I wasn't to impressed with some of the models. But at the moment I am thinking about the RMS model, which is going to set me back $109 another option would be the crystal v3 not bad looking at all and is half the price of the RMS. Waiting to see them in the stores So i can actually try my phone in ether one before making my decision on which one to get.

Well, they're both "RMS" as they use the mounting system. You're talking about the difference between the clear polycarbonate one and the aluminum one.

I went with the clear one since it is available now...for my Lumia I simply bought a slim case and stuck their universal mount to the back of it.

My bad I mean the polycarbonate and the aluminum. And by the way that's a great idea using the there universal mount on the back of that case I am going to look into that. Gives me an idea for mounting my 6+ in my car without putting it in the door pocket.

I took my ProClip USA mount and simply stuck the Rokform RMS mount to the flat face of that. Phone snaps right in and is more stable than any other mount I have ever had.

In my wife's car, I simply stuck one of their magnet mounts to an open spot on the left side of the steering wheel.

It really is the best low profile mounting system I have ever used. Will take some pics tomorrow.

Picked up my 6 Plus last night after Three decided to play silly buggars with my contract over the weekend. All sorted now though.

Love it already. Absolute heaven lumping a ton of videos and albums and still having 45gb to play with.

new Iphone 6: first impressions

So I got an iphone 6 yesterday after trying out a couple of Androids that were lovely but glitchy, and coming from an iphone 4 before that. Here are my first few observations, questions, and thoughts:

1) When you activate the lock screen, it seems to get brighter in the split seconds it takes to come on -- going from slightly dim to bright. It's subtle, but annoying, and didn't happen on my iphone 4. What is up that that?

2) I rely on jacking the text size up as high as it can go to read SMS and email without having to reach for my reading glasses. One of the BIG reasons I have an iphone in the first place. On iphone 4, this worked very well: the phone made areas like sms and email huge, while leaving others areas that weren't suitable for huge text at the normal size. They made smart choices in that regard.

But on iphone 6, it it tries to make many more things huge, and it's a disaster. Things like contact information, calendar stuff, and other such things have huge texts in some of their fields, and I can't even read more than one word on some of them. It's like they ditched the sophisticated scalpel they used to pick and choose which text to make bigger on the iphone 4 in favor of a blunt sledgehammer to jack way too many things up. Sloppy, annoying, thoughtless, and truly a problem for those of us who really rely on this.

3) I like the touch ID thing. I especially like that I can make app purchases and other such things without entering my apple ID password -- at least in theory. (If I'm understanding things right).

Problem is, I don't generally want to pass code protect my phone. I like to leave it open. But that seems to knock out the touch ID for the other things I'm interested in using it for, like purchases, and I'm prompted to enter my cloud password info like with the older phone.

Can I somehow leave the phone unprotected and still use touch ID for other stuff, or is it all or nothing?

Sound to me like you should make an appointment with a Genius at your local Apple Store to show him your complaints/problems. I almost sure he/she can take care your problems you are having with the iPhone 6.

You can schedule it online at Apple.com and then go at your convenience tomorrow or the next day!

And if the Genius does not fix your complaints; you can return the 6 too. LOL!

TouchID is much faster than slide to unlock. You can for example take your iPhone (upside down, screen facing inward) with your thumb on TouchID out of your pocket and it'll be unlocked by the time you can see the screen. I'd advise that you give it a try and you'll likely find this to be true.

If, however, your fingerprints are screwed up from working, etc. and can't use TouchID, deselect Use TouchID for iPhone Unlock in settings and change requiring passcode to 4 hours. You'll only have to enter the passcode once every 4 hours.
