Why are you even on here if this your reaction. Are you that unhappy that you feel the need to remove any joy that someone else might feel even be it for a phone purchase.

Is this your mechanism of achieving some satisfaction in your life by raining on the parade of others?

There are those that are miserable, and there are those who are degenerates that are essentially miserable, but have to try to make others as miserable as they are.

Or he could be a 12 year old kid who couldn't get his parents to buy one for him, same mental capacity.

Did you order a 6 or 6+ ? And if you checked your shipping date online after you ordered, did it show the same delivery date promised when you ordered? I live in GA and ordered at 3:27 am Friday and still no word on shipping. When I ordered it was promised "delivery by 9/19" but online later that day, the shipping date shows 10/14.

6+ delivery date

So, I haven't looked through every page here, but is there ANYONE who pre-ordered a 6+ and has a 9/19 delivery date?



....I ordered mine through AT&T at 3:35 am e.s.t. (started trying at 3:00 am) and I still got an estimated delivery date 10/13-10/22

I got shipping confirmation for my space grey 6 64gb but haven't gotten them for the other three space grey 16gb 6's that ordered. Maybe the 64gb were first in the batches sent over from china? Deliver date 9-19. I was able to order all of mine around 4:30am central because of the huge glitch in VW system, a telesales rep called me back.

Ya it will require a signature, but you can "presign". Once it ships, go to your order and look for where it has a link to presign. You print out a form, hang it on your front door by 8am and they will leave the phone where you specify. Of course I think this probably takes liability off of them and on to you if it has disappeared from your doorstep by the time you get home.

Assuming there isn't a way for the shipper to bar the feature, yes it does work like that.

If there is a way I can see Apple doing it because of all the crap that will occur if someone has their phone stolen off a door step and Apple tells them 'oh well, you let them leave it'. Even though it is totally not their fault

I do. But I ordered from Apple. I could be wrong but I don't believe anyone but Apple had launch day stock available for the 6 Plus. With such a limited supply of the Plus it wouldn't make much sense for Apple to allocate any units to the carriers for launch day.
 
ordered mine on Verizons site right away when the pre-order began and i haven't even received a confirmation email yet :(

Almost everyone who orders in those first hours from Apple gets a notice saying they will get it 1-2 days before launch. It's because that date is calculated automatically. But then when the packages get to the final stage before they hit the actual truck they disappear. Apple has a 'hold delivery' order that kicks in at that point. They don't do it at any earlier stage because they don't want any hiccups on getting it delivered on the right day.

perhaps 100 out of all the phones will accidentally get delivered early having slipped through a crack. But one should never count on it.

Just called FedEx w/ the tracking # and request the redirect to the FedEx (Office) location of your choice. Only the named recipient will be allowed to p/u and you will need ID, of course.

2. you really are a tad wack if you think that bezel is just about appearances and would make that huge of a difference in shipping costs etc.

Pre-ordered from At&t around 3:15am & the confirmation email has a 9/19 ship date, but when i check the Order Status Page, it gives me a date of 9/23-10-02. I'm hoping it changes come Monday

I would suggest you stay home that day.

Fedex and UPS are aware to do not leave at the door even when no signature is required.

LOl, I remember those IPAQs... I had several, including one with a $400 1 GB CF Card. I can't believe I spent so much money on that junk.
But at least I was able to stream video from my PC over WiFi back in 2002.

The only way i've been able to do this in the past is by transferring my upgrade to another line on my family share plan, purchasing the discounted phone on that line, activating on that line, and then switching everything back to normal. As far as I know, Verizon won't subsidize a phone for you AND let you keep unlimited on the same line. The transferring upgrade hack is the only way I know how to do it, and it requires you to order through the VZW site.

I do. 6+ space gray, 64gig. I ordered directly from Apple though, within the first couple of minutes of when the site came up.
