Didn't check my email in awhile, but Verizon flagged my order and wanted me to call in. My order better arrive on time. :(
Sad considering I ordered the 4, 4S, 5 and 5S. Yet my 6 order is flagged?

....I ordered mine through AT&T at 3:35 am e.s.t. (started trying at 3:00 am) and I still got an estimated delivery date 10/13-10/22

I'm guessing you mean 3:35 EDT. The "S" in e.s.t. is for standard time, which won't be in effect until November 2. ;)

Pre-ordered from At&t around 3:15am & the confirmation email has a 9/19 ship date, but when i check the Order Status Page, it gives me a date of 9/23-10-02. I'm hoping it changes come Monday

Some good news: my order status on AT&T had that 9/23-10/02 range through sometime this morning, but got changed to where it looks like a 9/19 arrival now.

So, yeah - they scared me a bit, too. Hopefully ordering through AT&T won't be any worse than ordering from Apple.

Just don't hit that cancel preorder button

I managed to get my pre-order in right at midnight PST through AT&T for a 6+ 64gb space grey. AT&T's website let me check for an upgrade on a phone line and took me to the pre-order page before it was even up yet and I got my order in. Anyone else do the same and get late(ish) ship dates? Mines 10/2-10/13. But it did just update from 10/13-10/22 to a better date.

Carbon copy of my situation, order time, and date change. Only difference is I ordered a 6+ 16GB Space Gray.

That is good, my AT&T order of a 6+ 128GB Silver just went from 10/13-10/22 to Expected Ship Date: Pending Confirmation . I hope it comes back with an earlier date.

Stand in line option

Well, due to my upgrade situation (my main number isn't available to upgrade until 11/14/14, so I'm pulling an upgrade on another line), I will be at the store Friday morning.

What is a good time to show up?

When I got my 3GS 5 years ago, I went to the Apple Store on launch day at noon, and got the one I wanted (I think it was a 32GB Black one), no worries.

Also, do they have separate inventories for store pick-ups and walk-ins?

I sold my Kidney for unlocked iPhone 6 and it seems to be more expensive than my kidney . Good thing they gave me kidney back guarantee.

Plus, you have two, so you can sell the other one for accessories!

OK - now I am a bit worried, I just went to Verizon.com and checked my recent equipment purchases - only the iPhone 6 64GB receipt and charge comes up... nothing showing my 6 Plus.

Samsung pay people to criticize Apple products in the comment sections

affected sites:
Macrumors
The Verge
Engadget
Mashable
9to5mac
youtube

As someone who's in MacRumors every day for a number of years, that has been increasingly more apparent. Can't speak for the other sites.

Edit: Too many people in these forums now who clearly from their comments have no love for Apple products at all. Which begs the question: Why are they here? Add that to the fact that many of them repeatedly attack the exact same couple points (battery life, only 1GB memory, etc)... which just so happen to be the exact same points that Samsung and others target in their adds. Beyond coincidence.

I would have to think they have separate inventory for the pre-order pickups. Otherwise that would leave the store with nothing to sell on launch day. Last year I got there about 2 hours before opening and there was quite the line. They handed out cards shortly before opening so I knew I was going to get what I wanted. There was no preorder last year either so hard to compare against this year. I would think if you were going for a regular 6 you could probably get what you wanted throughout the day. If you want the plus I'd get there early and be close to the front of the line. I imagine stock on those will be short.

Did u choose store pick up option? Because I order mine when apple site was up in 10 sec, but couldn't get 9\19 delivery day and there was no store pick up option for me. (Cinncinati OH)

I picked for delivery in Florida. Ordered maybe 3:15AM EST. That's the first time site would load for me.

Why pre-order a device that will soon be in a store? I give products at least a month before I take a plunge
Iphone has gone through so many iterations that I think Apple has the production on point by now. This isnt like a buying a first year car release.
You'll have to pull your hair out to find one by calling every store imaginable - if you didnt pre-order... Even 5s, after the release of the 5 was scarce for at least a month or two.

Left at door

I wonder if mine will require signature at the door. Because i'm gonna be away from home that day at work

All the times I've not been home, they've left it. That said, I usually make sure I'm home not wanting to wait until Monday to get a new iPhone...

FedEx (and I'm sure others) will divert to some of their locations for free (I've got an old Kinkos, that's a FedEx very close) and they just deliver it there and usually call me when it's there (usually VERY early!!!). I do that for lots of packages. Obviously this might not be convenient depending on where you live. They might even deliver to other shipping partners for a small fee (I think FedEx or UPS) does that.

This is how people know you have no life you get up in the middle of the night to order a ****ing phone then you spend hours refreshing pages and cursing and then you tell the world about it.

Next stage delivery tracking. Jesus Christ...

Everyone take note:

Here is an example of someone who has a life.

What's with the big panic in buying a 6. It's only a updated iPhone it seems you Americans require everything today.

I always wait until the S iPhone comes out then you know problems are solved, and with not great leap technically with the iPhone 6 I'll keep my 5s until Apple stops providing ISO updates.

I ordered two iPhone 6 64 GB and they're showing delivery on the 19th...but...shouldn't they have shipped if they're supposed to be here on the 19th?

Someone asked about signatures at the door.

Apple usually requires that, but AT&T does not do that all of the time.

Apple ships FedEX, so you can print out a form that gives the driver permission to leave it if you feel safe doing that. You just have to tape the form on the door when you go to work.
