AppleCare = Dumb Retards who don't know S*** !!!

I'm having the Same WiFi Issues as well on my 6 Plus !!! However these Dumb AppleCare Retards are of no help either... I've always wondered where these AppleCare Retards got their IT Networking Education from as it seems they don't know S*** about anything!!!

Is your iPhone 6 Plus in a case ?
- Yes, it's inside a Clear Silicone Case I bought

Well there's your problem, simply remove the case and it should fix everything?
- Really!! then why am I still having these Connectivity Issues ??

Any issues with wireless connectivity are the result of interoperability issues with certain WiFi routers. There are a million different settings configurations possible with different 802.11n and 802.11ac routers. On a given router, these settings may vary from one firmware to the next as router manufacturers attempt to wring every last bit of performance out of their router. It will take Apple some time to get the iPhone 6's Wifi chip driver settings tweaked to work optimally with all popular router configurations. Apple faced the same issues with both the 5S and 5.

There isn't anything Apple can do for you at this point besides tell you to either (1) wait for an IOS software update (with a new wireless driver) or (2) buy a new wireless router. Neither answer is an answer that most customers are going to want to hear. Exchanging your phone will not make a difference; removing your case and/or resetting your network settings are about the only things one can do now (besides replacing one's router) that might have an effect on Wifi performance before IOS 8.0.X is released. The Asus AC68U with the latest firmware is working well for me.

It's not an iPhone 6/6Plus issue, it's an iOS8 issue - a bunch of us are having it happen with the iPhone 5 as well.

It's very, very, VERY annoying.

(EDIT: Resetting Network Settings doesn't permanently fix it, nor full restore. It's just an intermittent bug in the OS itself)

try to update your firmware to your router i had this problem and updated my firmware and now it works fine

Same issue here. After some hours (under 24 hours) my iPhone 6 can't find any WLAN network. Rebooting solves this issue temporarily.

But the problem many of us have is the phone won't see ANY networks when you would normally see 3 or 4 from neighboring houses. I guess i need to ask the neighbors to update their firmware too.

On the iPhone 6, I have this issue but it appears to crop up after charging for a length of time. First happened when I finally got around to doing a full charge then it happened when doing a charge this morning. As mentioned, doing a reboot took care of it.

I'm having this same wifi issue on my new iPhone 6. Basically everything works great and then I'll look and I'll notice that the wifi connection has dropped and I'm only connected via cellular data. I'll enter wifi settings to try and manually reconnect but I'll see the spinning wheel (like it's looking for networks) and nothing will show up. Only thing that fixes the problem is a reboot (or reset network settings). It's happened to me both in the office and on my home network. BTW- I was coming from and Android device so I set this up as a new device (did not restore from iCloud). I should also mention that both my home and office wifi networks are 5 ghz.

Does Anybody's iPhone 6 Wi-Fi Automatically Turn Off But Wifi Is On But Its Not Connected. No Network Would Show Up But Wi-Fi is Turned On ? I Gotta Do A Reboot For It To Connect

Yes I think that is what people are describing and experiencing. It has happened to me twice, interesting both times after a lengthy charge. I was on 5 GHz on both occasions, next time it happens I will try the 2.4 GHz suggestion.

I'm having a wifi issue on my Plus as well. However, I'm only losing my wifi when I receive an iMessage. At that point safari and anything else won't load untill I turn Wifi off and on (or switch to LTE).

I had some WiFi issues, but I restored mine immediately and I no longer have any issues.

But my home button seems to click louder than the store one, not sure if it'll be an issue, but I'll stick with it for now.

Same thing here. Wifi networks all disappear. Reboot and they are back. No rhyme or reason yet that I can determine.

The positive thing about all this is it can't be hardware with so many examples coming through. It must be ios 8.
I expect Apple will fix with an update.

Had a 9:20 appt at the apple store, was walking out by 9:35 with a new phone. They swapped it out no problem.:)

I am experiencing the same problem with my iPhone 6

The phone will be connected to my Apple Airport Wifi (2 or 5ghz) and will be fine for between 30 minutes to an hour and will then lose the connection.

When going into the wifi settings it will constantly scan but not see any wifi networks. I have been 'solving' this by Resetting Network Settings but that is hardly a fix I want to keep using.

If this continues, I will be heading to the Apple Store

Im having the same wifi issue with my iPhone 6 at home, not at my office though.

Having the same issues. Wife and i both have 6 plus's, connected to my netgear ac1900 5ghz fine, but after couple mins wifi just drops to a crawl. Tried connecting to my 2.4ghz and same issue. Set my 2.4ghz 600Mbpsto 54Mbps max speed, and now both of our iPhones are connecting and working fine. What a joke, bought the phone to utilize the new ac protocol, and I can;t even use ac.

and i don't think its an ios8 issue for me, i have 2 iPhone 5s and 3 iPad's all on ios8 using my net gear on 5ghz with no issues, only the plus's are having this issue.

----------

also didn't restore from back up on both plus's, so they were both built new.

I have the opposite issues as most posting here.

My 6 would not find a 2.4 channel while the Wife's 6 on the 2.4 channel is working like a charm and no issues.

I have a very strong 5 channel and it is running blazing fast. Unfortunately, my work only has the 2.4 channel.

If I get within 1ft of the router, it will then find the 2.4 channel with a weak signal. However, it will not take the password at all. 3-4 times or 40 times, it says incorrect password no matter what.....

I will also note the hotspot feature does not work and the cellular signal is a level or 2 weaker than my wife's

I have been working with an Apple rep and hopefully this will be resolved.

I've been experiencing awful WiFi since iOS 8 BETA 1. It was bad from the very start.

The fix for my iPhone 5s (and my wife's new iPhone 6) is the following:

Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services -> System Services -> Wi-Fi Networking -> Turn OFF.

This setting left on just uses your WiFi as a helper for GPS location to get a faster fix (from what I read), so for now at least - turn it off. Doing so has completely addressed my WiFi issues.
