That's the one I had. It looked like crap within a week, and I wasn't even that rough on it.

Hopefully yours will hold up better. Good luck!

I can still return it. Have 2 weeks. What about it looked like crap. Does it pick up dust/hand sweat & oils and is more obvious than other colours?

On the back, the blue color faded to black on the left and right edges.

Also, it felt like cardboard in my hand. Admittedly a lot of my reason for returning it was it just not feeling right.

I bought the Black Silicone and Black Leather Apple cases. I been using the silicone one since day one and I think it is the better case. Why you ask?

1. It's sturdier, durable, and can handle drops without dining up the case. The leather case is not as durable and dings up on drops as well.

2. With Silicone, you can get any color you want and not worry about color fading or changing.

3. You can clean the case with soap and water if you so choose.

4. Material is designed to handle heat where as leather does not.

5. It's cheaper.

I believe it's 30-days from purchase date.

Apple Support is on point! I called with complaint yesterday, CS rep emailed my refund slip, to my surprise I got replacement shipping confirmation email yesterday evening...and will have item on my desk later this afternoon! How's that? The service Apple gives & has always given me over the years is one reason I keep buying their products.

Any updates on your replacement case?

Is the new one blistering at all, or was it just a problem with your first case?

I'm wondering because I have a blistering leather case as well, so I'm wondering if the issue is with all the leather cases (meaning that I should go with silicone instead) or whether it's just a defect with a specific few units.

I don't think I could be any happier with my brown leather 6 plus case.

I may pick up a green silicone case some time just for times when I want to change it up a bit or when I am in a situation where the leather might get messed up, but overall I really love the look and feel of the leather case.

Even though it's expensive I am still happy with my purchase. I have the olive brown for the 6 plus and love the feel and look. It's a dark brown color that looks like it will fade into a good looking color. Also it gives you a good solid grip and adds very little bulk to the phone itself.

I have a silver 6 and initially purchased the Olive Brown leather case since there were no blue ones in stock. I still thought I'd like the blue and happened to find one at Best Buy today. I immediately swapped it on and while it looks great I keep meaning back toward the Olive Brown. Anyone else like this combo better or is it just me? I keep reading how the blue doesn't hold up well already but the OB seems to be 'aging' better.

I am having second thoughts about going with one. Any pictures of how bad it got?

Can you clarify on #4? How is leather not designed to handle heat and silicone is?

By the same reasoning, I should replace all my leather shoes with silicon shoes :)

Kidding aside, I had a leather case for my iP4 and it was great. I still have it after I sold the phone. It was made by SGP and the color was brown. After 2 years it developed this beautiful patina that a lot of people commented on. I wiped it with a damp cloth once when I spilled some food on it.

I like the feel of leather more than any material so far for a case.

I'm on the fence not sure what case will be my permanent one but am kind of leaning toward the official Apple leather case. I've already seen them praised. I'm curious about any cons about them. Does anybody regret their purchase? Are they really known to fade quickly? Bulky? Worth the price tag or not?
I don't regret the purchase at all. I got the black to go with a space gray phone, looks sleek and professional, and adds negligible bulk to the phone. I've used it a week now and have no desire to look for a different case. Perhaps a lifeproof, when those come out.

Highly recommended!

I also have a midnight blue and love it. Haven't experienced any of the issues (so far) that others have complained about: Blistering, discoloration, looseness near the power or volume buttons. Mine fits the phone like a glove, feels amazing in the hand, and looks gorgeous.

It sounds to me like the leather cases may have had a bad batch, or are simply more prone to defects/problems than the silicone cases. I'm going to apply some water protector onto the case tomorrow to avoid blistering, but I may also get a red silicone case just to shake things up from time to time.

I did a quick Google Search of Pros and Cons for Silicone and Leather Phone cases and it gave me the run down before I made my purchases.

LMAO! Don't get me wrong, Leather is more classier and feels better of the two. When it comes to durability, maintaining color/look, and protection the silicone case is a no brainer. The fact that it's cheaper and provides better protection is the icing on top!

But if leather is durable enough for shoes, it should be good enough for a phone case right? We have leather shoes, leather gloves, leather steering wheels. As a matter of fact, some shoe bottoms are made out of leather. There is leather bike seat, leather balls. Well, now you make me sound like Forrest Gump:(

The only kind of silicon gloves I can think of are oven mitts and there is a good reason for that.

I think leather is a terrific material for a phone case.

there's different qualities and types of leather. this is very cheap leather.

Didn't care for the open bottom design. It went back.

That actually was the best part for me. That meant that you can use your phone with case installed on any Speaker/Charging Dock. Also, that was the weakest and quickest part to tear on the iPhone 5S leather cases.

I haven't used a case on my phone in years. I have the brown leather case on my 6 now and absolutely in love. I never realized how much more comfortable it is to hold something in leather instead of metal.

I conditioned the case with some leather balm that came with my watch and it is so soft now. Perfect.

I had the red leather but returned it and bought a couple of the silicone cases. The leather started to wear off of the case at the corner to the left of the home button after only 7 days use. The leather is paper thin.
