I've got the black leather case on my 6+ and love it. I actually just cancelled the Speigen case I had on order.

I picked up the black one today. I don't know if I'll use this as much as my Caudabe Veil, just because I prefer thinness above all else. But, the leather feels nice in the hand and is useful for those times when I want more protection. I'm not at all bothered by the fact that the bottom is open. It makes accessing the ports a lot easier and makes removing the case easier too.

there's different qualities and types of leather. this is very cheap leather.

That is a blanket statement which doesn't shed any light on the topic.

I would expect most cows to have pretty strong skin otherwise they wouldn't survive and grow up to be cows.

It's not that hard and expensive to make strong leather. You can buy a leather belt for less than $20 which uses more leather than a case.

The one difference is that you want thin layer of leather for a case glued to a shell. We are not talking about the case tearing here, so it's about the look and feel of the leather. There is no need to make the leather supple because it's glued to a shell, so all we are talking about is how the surface feels to the touch. Why would the case be made so "cheap" that it's not durable?

I've got no regrets. I have the brown leather case and it feels great and makes the phone a lot easier to hold one handed due to its thinness. So far not a fan of the thicker cases out there for the Plus but I think Apple got this one right.

Every time I try to pull the trigger on getting the Midnight Blue Leather case for my 6+, something comes up and I have to put it off.

Maybe it's not meant to be.

Does anyone have the red leather and the original packaging? I want to return my red one but accidentally threw away the packaging.

If you have the receipt still, they should be able to still refund it for you. Even if you used someone else's packaging, the bar code on the back wouldn't match the one listed on your receipt.

I have a leather case and I think it's great, decent protection with very minimal bulk.

On a separate note has anyone with a leather case found a holster that fits? I could really use one for work.

sfbags.com has holsters that they will make that fits the phone with the Apple case. Expensive set up but looks nice. Unfortunately I also need to use a holster at work, I'll likely go with this set up.

Can you post a pic?

I had the silicon case but dust piled up at the top edge and I didn't like how it felt, I swapped it for the leather case which feels much better but dust still piles at the top # Now I'm trying to find an open-top case

Don't regret it at all, I love it! Look, feel and thin factor are amazing, worth every penny :)

Yup, dust and other "things" from the pocket keep piling to the top part of the screen.

But still the best case I have used. I also have the Spigen Neo Hybrid case, but the feel on the hand on that is also so slippery on hand. Was not happy that Spigen changed the material on the back side compared to theri 5/5S neo hybrids

If only the leather case had an open-top I'd be happier # Everything else I've seen just isn't designed like Apple is

I also have a midnight blue and love it. Haven't experienced any of the issues (so far) that others have complained about: Blistering, discoloration, looseness near the power or volume buttons. Mine fits the phone like a glove, feels amazing in the hand, and looks gorgeous.

It sounds to me like the leather cases may have had a bad batch, or are simply more prone to defects/problems than the silicone cases. I'm going to apply some water protector onto the case tomorrow to avoid blistering, but I may also get a red silicone case just to shake things up from time to time.

...I have to 100% agree with this^^^

My Midnight Blue case looks awsome on my iPhone 6 - no discolouration (had it for 1 week) or anything. My only complaint is that I wish it also covered the bottom of the phone as well but thats just me!

The more I use the case, the more I love it. It makes the phone feel even more premium, while adding a huge amount of comfort and gripability. I can set the phone on my lap without it sliding off, etc.

Best case I've ever purchased. And the olive brown is looking good still. No wear.

I like it not covering the bottom - it means I can finally get my phones on/off my dock!

With the midnight blue (or any colour other than black in reality) - after a couple of months you will start to notice some discolouration. The same thing happened with the 5/5S cases.

Had to swap my phone yesterday due to screen issues, ended up swapping the case too. Had the Red Leather from Day 1 on my 128GB Gold. Swapped to Midnight Blue, the corners of the red was already looking black. By the looks of it, the blue may have to go as well, i'll see how it holds up. In another thread, people are complaining it turning black on the sides towards the middle. I have a Vaja Grip LP on Order, so i'll how my blue holds up until the vaja gets here.

This was my first apple leather case. Got the black for the 6. Fit was fine. But i didn't care for the buttons being covered (personal choice). More troubling for me was mine had a tacky-perhaps better described as sticky- feel which I didn't like. I just couldnt' get used to that. Just received my black case mate barely there which I love. Had it on my 5. Love the feel and is so slim. Would have preferred the cutout for the apple logo to be spherical not square but that's a nit.

Like it

6+ and black Apple case. So far very pleased. If it holds up I will be a satisfied customer

The black leather Apple case is awesome, but it has the one flaw of attracting lint in the upper corners. If it didn't do that, it would be the perfect case.

I have an olive brown case bought around 1 week ago. I love it. However, today I noticed it's peeling off slightly around the camera cutout.

Anybody else? I treated it very nicely, almost obsessively.

To soon to tell, returned my Speck Candyshell Grip for the brown leather case.

Love the low pro feel so far, and it looks good on the gold iPhone!

I like mine good enough but I too wish the bottom were protected, I have the black for my space grey. Also, unlike my wife's 5S leather case, the inner sides do not have the soft material so I am wondering about it trapping dirt and scratching the phone which is what the silicone ones do...
