It is not "Bigger Than Bigger" better, I suspected, but definitely bigger is better, up to 4.5~4.8. Beyond that, I feel like hold a travelling iron up to my face.
Now that Apple has quite a range of flat protable devices from 4.7" to the future 12.9", I wonder if they will abandon effort to continue to refine and evolve the MacMini? If they somehow can use the tablets as a touch monitor for the MacMini, users can do some serious work on the go since this little computer can go in any backpack.

Can you two not leave it there? And you are contributing to the same thing, seriously....people like you get in my nerves. There are mods who control this forum and you are not one of them so back off.

Didn't have a choice. My company pays my monthly bill but we buy our own phones through AT&T under our company account (with our personal money though). I get the "2 year contract" price on a phone every two years. So - $199 or $299 or whatever.

Sounds like a nice deal, even though you have to wait a bit. The carriers seem to be slow on getting the phones. We went to a Verizon store first and they didn't have any, and couldn't even tell us when they were expecting the phones.

You doubt it based on what

Considering Apple fans will quickly buy the plus version I'd think this is normal. Normal consumer will buy the smaller phone and the smaller one will have a bigger percentage in the long run imho

The difference is honestly negligible and really boils down to which size your prefer. The battery life is increased by 20% if it's very display bound and might go towards 40% with more SoC-bound tasks.

The OIS gives an edge in low light/dark settings when taking pictures (not used for video), but the average user won't really notice a difference. Both are great devices but the most important decision between the two is really which screen size you prefer.

Hardly. I have both in this house. All of what you said is understated.

Shipping estimates for new iPhone 6 orders remain at 7-10 business days, while the iPhone 6 Plus is still showing a shipping delay of 3-4 weeks.

It's hard to infer long term trends from parts shipment data. Apple does a good job of managing its supply chain to avoid over production and creating a bunch of inventory that costs money and may or may not be sold at full price. Right now the 6+ has a longer wait time so it makes sense to ramp up production to address the backlog; as a result more 6+ parts are shipped. Once the initial rush is taken care of then you will get a better idea of the ultimate sales breakdown.

I do. Large phones have been ridiculed here for years. People looked like fools using a phablet, etc, etc.

Oh ok, I don't get much out of saying "I told you so", so that's why I don't care.

I think it's obvious that anyone who said "no one will buy x" doesn't have any knowledge on the subject so calling them out seems pointless.

I thought all along that a larger iPhone would instantly become the best selling iPhone ever. Even if they made a 5S size phone with the latest and greatest internals, the 6 and 6+ would still have annihilated it sales wise. The masses want larger phones, if Android phones weren't proof positive, this surely is.

Definitely I think it's apparent that the reason apple started losing market share is because they didn't adapt to the market.

That's why I say anyone who said no one will buy one is clueless on the subject. Calling them out is like calling kelly Bundy out for getting the calculus problem wrong

I am sure that I said big phones were silly when the Note came out, but I didn't need glasses then either.

I never cared one way or the other about big phones... I just didn't want one that wasn't an iPhone.

If you believe only 9 customers complained then you're naive. If I had a bent iPhone I'm returning that sucker for another reason. Just the 16GB model alone is $750 and I wouldn't want to be stuck with a bent phone. I made the mistake of telling Apple that I replaced their faulty battery in my wife's iPhone 5. They refused to touch my phone due to unauthorized repairs. So yes; I would not say one word about a bent iPhone when making my return.

Fine, but your analysis assumes that additional phones were actually bent. It's by no means clear that was the case, at least under anything approaching ordinary circumstances.

Honestly, I have no idea what people do with the 6+. I got a 6 to replace my older 4, and I still can't get used to the larger size, and I also thinking that the new arrangement of the buttons on the 6, precisely because of the change in the size of the phone, is not-so-friendly to lefthanders.

Wait, so you think people bend them back and then return them? You realize you can't really bend it back, right?

In fairness, there is a big difference between ridilcuing someone for using a phablet and arguing that phablets don't sell. Though both arguments were made here, not everyone who made one of those arguments necessarily agreed with the other.

Absolutely the 6+ is better

In your opinion. Not in mine. Not in many other's.

This is such a dumb analysis and conclusion.

Demand for the Plus was clearly underestimated by Apple, the product forecasting team got it wrong, so bigger orders for parts now just means they are playing catchup with demand.

THIS.

I see the 6 all day long around Manhattan. I have yet to see a 6+. Also, there was a poll here in MR once it launched that showed more demand for the 6.

I realize this is all anecdotal evidence, but it seems like better evidence that what this analyst has described.

There may be some contradictions!???

Well, the expressions about that 60% for iP6+ are not much clear.

I think it was on 18th or 19th Sept., here in this very same MacRumors Front Page News , it was indicated that Foxconn is mfcring 400.000 pcs. DAILY from the iP6, and 140.000 pcs. from the iP6+ (but suffering from a shortage of the screens, bcz. they could use only 50-60% of the screen shipments in production; rest being returned to the screen mfcr.). Another, more earlier report was telling that Pegatron had won 50% of the iP6 contract (meaning they will only build the iP6...). Now this recent report says Foxconn is building the iP6+ only, while the smaller screen iP6 is being build by Pegatron.

These are all contradictory and confusing reports; but no one can make me believe that Foxconn is responsible only for mfcring the iP6+.

On the other hand, if Apple really forecasted a 1:4 or even 1:3 ratio for the demand of iP6+ : iP6; it seems that they have been badly mistaken for certain markets. Those forecasts may be more or less valid for EU and USA+ Canada markets, but certainly not worldwide...

iPhone 6 Inferior Display!

I just ordered my iPhone 6. I so wanted the 6+ but couldn't imagine carrying that thing around everywhere I go. Even though I went with the 6, I have to ask... WTH couldn't Apple make just as wonderful a display for the 6? I mean, when I look close I see the diagonal, honeycomb-like line pattern which I'm assuming is the touch sensor. I don't see this at all EVEN ON MY IPHONE 4!!! This 'flaw' is so not like Apple which once upon a time had such an insatiable appetite for perfection!!!

WHATTTTTT.... THEEEEEE.... HELLLLLL... ??? !!!!

I don't see it at all. Take yours back, you got a defect.

I haven't received mine yet. It's on Fedex vehicle for delivery today. But I've seen it on the 4 display units I've tried at verizon store, at&t store, t-mobile store and at costco. I'm hoping you're right. I'll let you all know in a bit what I see when Fedex arrives.

Thats insane. I skipped upgrading this gen, for the first time ever, due to both models being to large. Im amazed it sells so well, but also sad, because I guess this may be the end for the smaller models. Id prefer 4" and even 3,5" over these.

And I skipped upgrading from my 4s until they came out with a wider screen...To each his own, but based on all the discussion I have had with iPhone users and defectors, big screen was top of a lot of peoples want list. Absolutely love my 6 plus.

I wonder if people choosing the 6plus are just more sedentary - and fatter too? The kind of people that just sit around on the couch all day, or at the desk all day, at eat. I just can't see how very active people wouldn't prefer as small a device as possible.

What a ridiculous conclusion.

I really wanted a 6 Plus, but after handling one I came to the conclusion that a phone is the one device I will take everywhere with me, and the 6 Plus is too big for ME to to be able to do that comfortably. So I have ordered a 6......still having envious thoughts though ;)

I do think the ratio will probably swing in favour of the 6 over the 6 Plus once the early adopter hump is over, but time will tell.
