Looks like Adam Levine has a bent iPhone, too:

Sorry. I didn't realize that fulcrum was such a big word. :roll eyes:

Oh well, when your phone bends I hope you're big enough to come admit you were wrong (although I don't expect you will.)

You just sound like a fanboy now who secretly wants people's phones to get bent or something

So when a 9" Galaxy S9 comes out, its supposed to fit in a front pocket!?!?!?

The phone is too big for the front pocket. The issue is the phones are getting too big to be able to be pocketed. the 6 doesnt bend, just the 6 plus. the only design difference is the screen size.

If you look on www.oneofthenine.com you will see that there are as many, if not more, cases of the regular iPhone 6 being bent than the iPhone 6+. Consumer reports also found that the 6 bends with less force (70 lbs) than the 6+ (90 lbs).

I know several folks who bought both the 6 and 6+ models on launch day and have been using the devices in an industrial environment and not one device has a bending issue???

I can't believe this thread is still going on.

I've had my 6+ now for two months. Every single day it is in my front pockets. Both in casual cloths and in work attire as in suits. Further more I've been running cross country, playing tennis, riding horses.

And guess what it is still straight. I guess the only thing again common sense is that it isn't common.

Obviously, it's bent and you just don't know it yet. /s

because yours isn't broken that it clearly not a problem for everybody else?

I also know a Greek friend who is doing very well financially... what is this "financial crisis" everyone is on about regarding Greece??

Works both ways.

Because yours is bent that clearly means that everyone is going to bend theirs too?

I have a friend who crashes his car into things all the time. Why isn't Nissan recalling these faulty cars??

May be the space-time around these folks with bent iPhones are curved. Stephen Hawking would agree.

These whole situation has made me afraid of getting my phone in and out of a tight case.

Of course it works both ways, what is your point?

No more "gates". I can't take them anymore. There is no scandal here.

You're absolutely correct. It's a normal characteristic, just like the short battery life. Everyone with common sense can understand. It's not like its a secret. One look at it and anyone that fails to notice the obvious is an expert in denial.

Forgive me, I cannot tell if you're mocking me or not.

that depends, was Nissan made of weak material and break apart upon the slighest impact?

If so, yes, I agree it deserve a recall.

I think cases have a lot to do with these bending issues. People don't realize sometimes how much force they're using when they're trying to pull it out of a tight case. I've seen some pretty tight fitting cases before where I have to literally struggle to take it off. I can see someone bending their iPhone while taking it out of the case and being like "Wow, it's even been in a hard case this entire time and it still somehow bent!"

I've been completely 100% case-less since I bought my iPhone 6 and it's not bent whatsoever. Sometimes it gets a little twisted, but I twist it back and it's all good, but that's not the same thing.

What worries me though is that the iPhone has been out for 2 months... these things have to last 2 years and I don't see that happening.

Please refrain from the off topic arguing and stick to the topic in a respectful way.

Actually it does have that. It's called the crumple zone ;) likewise with the plastic bumpers that are employed to make the vehicles lighter and remain within emissions. A small bump to those is much more expensive to repair since it will have to be replaced and you can't just hammer or suck it out.

But let's be real you shouldn't be bumping it into everything all the time. Likewise if you can feel it in your pocket then you're packing to many other things in there or they are too tight or whatever. You should rearrange the pocket :) it is so simple.

So simple that I can't believe people are still arguing against it. But you know what, if you are the clumsy and mechanically unsympathetic kind, just don't get one. Get an old Panasonic tough candibar or some android running industrial strength purpose built phone instead of this work of art.

It is absolutely fine. Heck clumsy me dropped it twice last night and it has been in my slimfit trousers for another day. Still not bent.

arguably, all phones are bendable... present me with any phone on the market past or present, i will bend it.

Selling the first few new iP6+ phones in the sealed box earned so much profit I paid full price for my 128GB iPhone 6 Plus with just over a hundred left. And thats after I bought Apple Care. Even better, it seems a bit more rigid when I attempt to flex it (not bend it).

Perhaps it's placebo effect, or Apple quietly reinforcing this latest batch of phones. Just one week old I have a fresh one. Either way this one is a keeper.

Six weeks. iPhone 6 Plus. The thinnest cases you can imagine. No bend whatsoever.

I frequently carry it in my front pants pocket, though I'm very careful not to put any pressure on it when I'm sitting (or I'll take it out of my pocket). When I wear a sport coat or suit, I put it in my inside breast pocket.

by that argument. because everything is bendable. let's start making phones out of paper!!!

YAY!!

thats exactly how ridiculous this whole argument is. Apple never, at any point, stated they are using cosmic non bendable metal. We might as well complain that our glass screens can crack too. how dare Apple not use unbreakable glass, what were they thinking!?!?1
