I wonder if the other way can work. I know in the past Apple didn't enable the CDMA bands on the AT&T iPhones, but if you look in settings, the AT&T iPhone reports its MEID. The iPhone 5S, 5, and 4S didn't do that

Verizon just doesn't let phones they don't have in their database on their network. They are supposedly supposed to but no one has really been able to do it. If it's not their phone they won't let it on their network.

Works fine according to the thread above. It's just detected as a "non-VZW device" which happens to iPhones replaced under warranty too.

It won't be exactly the same (you can compare the at&t and VZW models for yourself to see the differences) but it will work.[/QUOTE]

The device is exactly the same. The ATT model simply has a disabled CDMA antenna. The spec sheet otherwise is identical.

Without more information and confirmations I would take it with a grain of salt. Perhaps something slipped through somewhere but it almost never happens with Verizon. So for now I would still question that.

CDMA radios don't appear to be disabled this time; the phone wouldn't report an MEID if they were disabled.

I think it's probably like the iPad air. Verizon won't activate a new SIM with a non-VZW device, but an already activated SIM will work fine.

So let's say if I buy a Verizon iPhone full price, can I use it on prepaid verizon plan?

I don't see myself sign up for verizon any soon but knowing the phone can handle CDMA is pretty cool

if this question has been asked an answered already I'm sorry. I know verizon iPhones are unlocked right from verizon BUT if i buy a verizon iPhone 6 from an apple store directly will the device come unlocked? i was wondering if buying it from verizon or apple made any difference in the device coming unlocked.

They are unlocked from factory essentially.

Just got a Verizon 6 at the Apple Store today (full price, off contract). I put in my AT&T SIM and I get voice service only, can't connect to any data services (LTE, visual voicemail, etc.)
Tried to go through AT&T and they weren't able to get it going either saying I may need to change UPN settings, which of course you can't do through the phone with an AT&T SIM loaded.

As others have stated that they had no issues with AT&T service on VZW phones, are there any suggestions?
I have a gophone plan if that makes a difference.

Confirmed Verizon iPhone 6 working on AT&T. No problems so far myself.

I'm not able to get LTE working using my AT&T SIM in a Verizon iPhone 6, did you have to do anything besides swapping sims to get up and running?

After wait at Apple Store over night, the door open and they said NO 6+ WITH T MOBILE HERE. So mad but remember Verizon unlocked GSM and ask them buy 6+ with VERIZON FULL PRICE and they said yes, no problem. Yayyy.
Got home and take out Verizon sim and put T Mobile sim in slot , turn on and bamp . Got signal with LTE service too. Tried with AT&T sim and my country sim ( Viettel ) , all got servce.

So, if anyone here cant buy T Mobile at Apple Store, try Verizon with full price, that unlocked too.

Will post pic later at lunch time, now have to work.

If somebody knew that, ok. Just in case for SOME BODY DONT KNOW....
Just wondering... I purchased the Verizon Iphone 6+ full price. Do i need to activate the iPhone before it is consider unlocked? Can I just install my tmobile sim and have it activate?

Nope , take Verizon sim out and put your T Mobile sim to the tray and turn on.

Dễ ẹt , tháo sim Verizon ra rồi để sim T Mobile vô thôi , ko cần active vì mình paid off device
