Nope , take Verizon sim out and put your T Mobile sim to the tray and turn on.

Dễ ẹt , tháo sim Verizon ra rồi để sim T Mobile vô thôi , ko cần active vì mình paid off device

Hey there, didn't know you speak Vietnamese :) I bought this phone from a friend who purchased it from Verizon, the thing is it's an Upgrade... I was just curios. I don't mind if it doesn't work with other carrier as long as if I bring it back home it works with the local carriers :D

Confirmed Verizon iPhone 6 working on AT&T. No problems so far myself.

Yes, same here I purchased the VZ iPhone 6 off-contract and installed the At&t SIM before powering up. The new iPhone is working fine so far with At&t LTE. Thanks kendu2412 for starting this thread to share this information.

GoPhone Fix for iPhone 6/6+

In regards to my previous comment: After doing some searching around, there seems to be an issue with GoPhone customers and the iPhone 6, and 6+ regardless of which setup (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile). I had to get through to an advanced tech at AT&T and have them push through a code on my internet settings to set the APN properly (unlockit.co.nz did not help either and if you've already tried this be sure to delete the profile before you call AT&T for the fix). Now I am up and running GoPhone LTE on my Verizon iPhone 6 Here's a link to the thread I found: https://discussions.apple.com/message/26643863#26643863…

If you going to pay outright, then walk Into ATT and pay off your Next plan. Wait a day and go to ATT.com/deviceunlock fill in the information. In no time an unlock code comes. I had a Note 3 bought on Next. Paid it off and last week requested the unlock code. Within 24 hours the unlock code was emailed to me. They just require the phone to be out of contract.

Thanks for the info. I've always had trouble with getting them to unlock my phone for some reason, even out of contract... not sure why but I ended up using an unlock service....

I'm actually thinking of buying a Verizon iphone 6 16GB outright. My dad's work has ordered him a Verizon 64GB but he doesnt need that much space... so would the following work:

- My ATT sim in the Verizon 64 GB
- His Verizon sim in the Verizon 16GB

Will I need to call in to Verizon to change anything or will the sim swap take care of everything (ie right Verizon phone number in the 16GB?)

Thanks

I'm actually having a problem using AT&T LTE on my new Verizon iPhone 6 Plus. Everything worked fine on my 5 before I switched the AT&T sim card to the new phone. I can still make phone calls for some reason, just not the LTE network.

I had the same problem. Bought a launch day Verizon iPhone 6 from an Apple Store. I put my AT&T SIM card in and I got 4G, but no LTE. After going to an AT&T store and getting several new SIM cards, they told me that although the iPhone 6 supports all the LTE bands for Verizon and AT&T, each carrier uses different parts of each band.

I eventually gave up and returned my Verizon model for an AT&T model.

No. Buy the Verizon 6. Take the sim out. Put the att sim in. Turn on.

I'm not sure what the problem was but you were told wrong info. There's plenty of people who show that there's no problem getting full att service on Verizon phones.

How about with the Verizon change. I'm not too familiar with CDMA based phones. Can I take one verizon sim and put it in another phone and everything will work ok?

Thanks

Its good to have the confirmation, I shall be ordering a 128gb 6 for when I head over to the US from the UK at Thanksgiving, should save me circa $300 over UK prices!

If u put it in a Verizon compatible phone yes. Verizon will only activate phones on their network that are Verizon phones. But again the Verizon 5s5c6 and 6 plus are gsm unlocked from the get go even under contract

turn on LTE in settings of iPhone 6 or 6 plus.

OK, bought a 128GB Verizon iphone 6+ from apple store. moved my iphone 5s sim to it and all worked fine that I can see. says ATT LTE at the top left. I can get on the internet. Wifi works. I can make and receive calls.
BUT
I got a text message that I would need a new sim to take full advantage of my new cell phone. I goto AT&T. And they tell me they can't activate a new SIM card in the phone because it's a Verizon phone. I said it was never activated with Verizon and I paid it in full from the apple store. Everything was working. He said it locked up? It's because its a Verizon phone. I said it didn't. It was a text msg I got from AT&T to come in and get a new sim.
We'll it won't work as it is a CDMA. I said its open to all GSM.

I stuck in the old 5s sim. it booted up infront of him. He looked surprised it said att and LTE. it said carrier was att. He said don't swap the sim then, since it's not supposed to work and it'll fail.

So will it fail? Will I keep getting msgs from ATT saying to swap sim? anybody else getting these text?

The new SIM card is required to use VoLTE when AT&T rolls it out next year.. Otherwise your existing nano SIM will work fine.

Are you on a GoPhone plan?? If so,, there is an issue on AT&T's back end that must be fixed by them. Check out this thread..

I had the same issue with my VZW iPhone 6 and then the AT&T 6 I swapped it out for.. Now I'm back on the VZW iPhone 6 and all is well after the fix.

Big help, thanks. I am also on gophone and was waiting for the t mobile version to come back in stock in my local stores. Now I can try the verizon model too!

I'm not able to get LTE working using my AT&T SIM in a Verizon iPhone 6, did you have to do anything besides swapping sims to get up and running?

Nope didn't have to do anything special at all. If it still isn't working I would try powering down the phone and turning it back on or doing a hard reset.

If that fails try reseting the network settings: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Actually, it was an issue AT&T is having with GoPhone service on their back-end:

All fixed now.

As was quoted earlier in this thread, it's because the IMEI number of the phone doesn't match what AT&T has on their end. It will still work the same as if you had gotten a new AT&T SIM card.

Now, there's some talk that ApplePay somehow needs a "newer SIM", but that's just rumor at this point.

If you'd really like to get a new SIM card, you can call up AT&T and tell them that your SIM card was physically damaged (tell them it looks like it's cracked or some other excuse if they ask) and you'd like them to mail you a new one. When you get the new one, call them again and give them your IMEI number to activate it.

For those with Verizion phones on AT&T, what kind of LTE speeds are you getting?

I am getting VERY slow speeds. DLs at like .5Mb/s. I previous had an iPhone 6 Plus (an actual AT&T phone) and was getting super fast LTE.
