It looks like your phone possibly wasn't painted/primed properly, either that or you had a bad batch of Alu 7k

allgerrita, how come you iPhone 6S+ has that extra line on the back that they took off the S series? Is it
different in Singapore. It looks counterfeit to me.

Looks legit to me. Plenty of chips in the aluminum yet the plastic antenna band that is in contact with the chipped areas is completely smooth. Would be pretty difficult to replicate that I think. Hope your new phone is better.

Although I'm sure Apple would be able to tell this was a counterfeit phone in half a second you have a good point. The S model phones saw apple removing all the fcc stuff from the rear. Mine just says IPhone with the S and a small line of text.

The back of "the chipped" iPhone does not seem to correspond to the official appearance of the iPhone 6S........

It's been well established now that the fcc stuff was ONLY removed in America. My own uk phone still has the regulatory markings. A lot of people, including the op, are not American.

I have no links to the case or the rear protector that I'm using because it's bought at some cheapo handphone accessories stall. But rest assured I've been buying from them pretty regularly and all my previous iPhones had been fine. Except this one.
There goes your problem.

Reading another page on this topic. It looks like only in U.S. they removed the fcc stuff from the back. Phone
still looks fake to me.

You can believe it's fake. It's entirely up to you. But it's as real as it gets the way I see it. Only in US that they are allowed to remove the regulatory markings. Here in Singapore it's still a requirement. So, nope, my phone ain't fake.

Another one of those use-cheap-covers-and-your-phone-will-decompose kind of comment. I bet tons of people are using cheap covers. And just so coincidentally I'm the only one with this issue?
Don't get mad at me bruh, I don't have a problem with my phone. You do.

Some people are ridiculous imo like really. Even I'm from Australia I have FCC marking on my Rose Gold iPhone 6S+ how can you say the phone is fake... I think this is unusual but best bet is to go to Apple and ask them for replacement.

Blah blah blah "Apple is perfect, there is no such thing as an issue with Apple if my phone is perfect" get over yourself. I have a flawless phone too, but that doesn't mean there aren't QC issues in some units.
Don't be mad too.

Glad Apple is taking care of it. OP, let this be a lesson to not leave your phone in the same pocket as other things like keys. And please for the love of god, invest in a real case that isn't some garbage Chinese knockoff.

I don't put my phone with anything else other than itself. And cheap China cases are most certainly not an issue here because there are millions of iphone users in this world using cheap China cases. So for the love of god, it ain't my fault.
