See you in 2016, no need to reply.

Hey there! Welcome back! How did the rest of 2015 and the start of 2016 treat you? I wanted to be the first to say "Hi." Are you excited about the iPhone 7? I know I am.

Apple will disappoint you with 1GB of RAM the same way the 16GB storage is.

Have fun recording 4K videos. You'll get an alert about running out of space probably sooner than the RAM starts lagging your iPhone.

If only there were another storage option other than 16GB...*sigh*....

Adobe has confirmed 4 (FOUR!!) GB of RAM in the iPad Pro.
New Apple TV has 2 GB already confirmed.
I hope new iPhones has 2 GB pleaeeeeeeeeee

This. I wish people would understand there's a reason android phone manufacturers are consistently upgrading the specs of the hardware, and it's not just to look good on a spec sheet.

Doesn't change the fact that we've reached at point at which Apples optimization can only do so much and 1 vs 2 GB RAM will definitely show a real-life difference in your iOS experience.

Citation?

EDIT: Found it: https://blogs.adobe.com/conversations/2015/09/adobe-debuts-the-next-generation-of-mobile-creativity-apps-during-apple-ipad-pro-keynote.html

"During Apple’s keynote, we also demonstrated the extraordinary speed and precision of Adobe’s Creative Cloud mobile apps on Apple’s new iPad Pro. iPad Pro is great for creative workflows with a high res 12.9″ touch screen display at 2732 x 2048 pixels, A9X chip, and 4GB RAM."

I hate it when is it so hard to find out how many ram has a phone. Seriously, i can understand why you don't announce it at the event but put it on your website.

As stated before here several times, Apple doesn't even do that. RAM in the iPhone is a spec that is never officially communicated.

If you read the hands on it references, he simply makes the 2GB claim and nowhere does he cite it or even mention Apple relaying that info to him. Clickbait.

Hi. It's because they're probably all sourcing from BGR who got the information from the second leak that happened a while ago that showed a Geekbench 3 summary page for a iPhone 8,2 model. iPhone 8,2 model refers to the iPhone 6S since the iPhone 6 has the model serial of 7,2 whilst the 6 Plus is 7,1.

The first leak was either a test device or a photoshopped image since the information in the second leak seems to be more in line with the specs that the device will have. (There's no way the A9 would be dual core at 2.0 ghz when the A8 is 1.38 ghz, the jump to such a higher frequency is a little too unbelievable).

The more reliable leaked geek bench image can be found below. Based on the information it will have twice the bandwidth with 2048 L2 cache with the A9, which is an improvement over the 1024 L2 cache in the A8, which means it can access memory bandwidth a lot faster and they seem to have gotten rid of L3 cache (which is a good thing because the higher the level, the longer it takes to cache data). The phone will be tri-core at 1.51 ghz (which is more believable) and will have 1987 MB ram which in other words is 2GB ram.

I did. That's why said supposedly. I wish these so-called reporters would get the facts squared away .

Yeah, that smaller incremental clock bump does make more sense - and with Apple looking like they're moving their high[er] end iOS products to => 2GB of RAM (Air 2, Pro, ATV 4th gen), and wanting some specification parity (for development), it would make way more sense than not for the 6+'es to be 2GB.

I also _don't_ think it makes much sense - as posted/reported by some folks yesterday - to split the RAM spec and have the 6S with 1GB and 6S+ with 2.

Speculation:

It appears the 6S has a smallerbattery than the 6. Because more people complaint about thickness than battery life. Heavy sigh... So what can Apple do to squeeze more life out of a smaller battery on top of optimizations in new chip and OS? Minimize background / multi tasking. What is oneway to do that? Less system RAM. So the 6S sticks with 1G ram. Maybe the Plus gets more than 1G due to its much larger battery?

/Speculation

If that's real.....I am moving to Android.
NO WAY am I spending $650+ on a late 2015 phone with only 1GB of RAM...
That's worse than not having 32GB of storage.

c'mon now...Take a deep breath....1gig has not caused any major issues for me at all. I'm pretty sure this is a fake geekbench and most likely it will have 2gig...Memory management in iPhones has been pretty spectacular up until this point. And whatever apple chose to use in the 6S will make for a great experience.

If it's true, I feel comfortable to pre-order, direct from Apple.

If its true that its only 1gb I'd be more inclined to get the original 6. I'm guessing it will be at least 2 weeks before we find out through a tear down.

EDIT: So far things are looking promising on the RAM front. The iPad Pro is said to have 4GB according to Adobe who later removed the comment and the Apple TV is said to have 2gb of RAM. You'd think the iPhone 6s would follow suit.

Well, with the iPad Pro running 4GB in it there's no chance in hell the iPhones stay at a measly 1GB. If a tv box gets 2GB the iPhones will to.

I havent had an iphone since iphone 4. If its 2gb ram IM SOLD!

I'm also buying it if it has 2gb ram, i have to agree that it can be humiliating that a tv set box to have 2gb ram and a 800$ phone to stay at 1gb of ram.
