I received a message in the bug reporting site, that my bug report is found to be a duplicate of another report, and that report is now closed. Does it mean that Apple has fixed this issue?

Here a screenshot:

Looks like it's only closed because they've already got another report of it.
The other existing report was a reason to close mine. But the other one was closed independently. I have another bug report which was closed for the same reason of being a duplicate of other, but the other report is still open

Unfortunately it's hard to say why the other report is closed. They should be able to link users to the duplicate reports so that they could see what happened there, or at least provide information on the latest status of that duplicate report (aside form just being open or closed).

my report is also closed due to a duplicate... so i think apple got it :D
lets just wait for a fix

Maybe an update, beta 2 of 10.1, will come tomorrow, hopefully fixing this issue! Seems to be the case since many of the bug reports seem to have been marked closed. Would love to finally see smooth animations on my 7 Plus!

I just installed the Developer update on my 7 Plus and the animation glitch is gone. Still a slight delay from when I push the button, but no more glitchy animation, just smooth as it normally should be.
And how is the scroll the contact list in message? Smooth ?

Several in the beta 2 thread reporting that the animations are better. Installing now and will report when it's done

It's kinda hard to tell. Doesn't feel like it's fixed to me, but I'd say it has been improved somewhat. At least it looks like Apple is trying to fix it.

So they put a delay when pressing the home button? Video in slow motion pls :)

Animation bug is definitely not fixed. An easy way to see if if you press the home button before or while an app is loading, its smooth. But then, once it fully opens its still jerky when you close the app. Its got this weird acceleration going on still.
