I have two iPhone 7 Plus models in front of me and only one of them had this animation bug. Of course, the one with the warmer screen wasn't doing it. I erased my phone and restored 10.0.2 from an ipsw file and it works fine now. Not sure why this even happened since I always start my phones as new. Hopefully that helps for some of you if you decide to go that route.
So you have the first iphone 7 worldwide without these lags?

So you're telling me that if you restore from an IPSW, the animation won't hiccup?

Interesting. There ma be something about the restore process vs whatever they did at the factory.

Whenever you have 1 or more apps open and you double click them to see the slider it does a stutter animation it's somewhat jarring and noticeable.

OP, I do not experience this on my 7Plus or my GF's 7. Did you set your phone up as new?

Hello,

I'm french. I got the same lag, when i'm closing app on my iPhone 7.
I see some lags when I scroll through the list of contacts who sent me a text message in the application "message". You too ?

I restored via an ipsw and noticed the delay/animation stutter greatly reduced. However, when i restored a backup, the delay/animation stutter returned in full force. Not exactly sure what this tells us other than perhaps a certain combination of settings that reduces performance.

if an install of an ipsw file helps or not. apple should release a fix very soon. thats a glitch which must be fixed. especially for the iphone 7.

He must've not notice it. I've tried restoring from backup, installing the ispw and as new and it still happens. Go to an apple store and try it on all iPhone 7's and 7 pluses and you will see that ALL of them have the same issue. Some people just don't see it but its there.

I can't do that and risk losing all my blocked contacts and apps and things. But I've seen numerous reports of people noticing this weird slight stutter when you switch apps, the app icon page (home screen) does this janky stutter/bounce before you switch apps.
[doublepost=1474916323][/doublepost]I am almost positive it's not a "my personal phone" thing but something happening on all 7's due to everyone mentioning it on here. Maybe you're not noticing it? It only happens in a certain way when you switch apps, but not every time.

Ok, so it doesn't happen with you're on the home screen and double click, but it does if you have apps open in the app switcher and then double click and you get that wonky stutter, it's really quick but the home screen page seems to dip down and back up really quickly.

The animation bug I had was much more severe than what you might be talking about. It's by no means perfect, but if I pressed home on two iPhone 7's, one would close, and one would wait half a second to close. It was a drastic delay that led me to this post.

My animation has a subtle stutter now, but it's not as noticeable as before. I wish I took a video.

That's how it's always been for me, there is a stutter that some people don't even notice but I do

Its more likely than not corruption that has carried over from previous backups and devices. None of the iOS 10 devices that I have access to experience what you are describing. Every device was set up as new.

As Mirollin states, I have not noticed the behavior described by the OP on a iPhone 7 or iPhone 7+. I tend to be very sensitive to any kind of stutter and it is simply not there. By the way, in both cases the iPhones were restored from backups with the latest version of iTunes. Both iPhones have now been updated to iOS 10.0.2 and are still very fluid and smooth performance-wise.

Your description is exactly how mine is. There's a pronounced delay when you press the home button and when the app initiates the closing animation AND there's also the slight stutter during the animation.

When I restored via the ipsw, the delay was gone. The stutter was still there but much more subtle to the point that i'd probably not have noticed it if I didn't already know about it.

When I subsequently restored my backup, both the delay and stutter returned.

on my devide i dont have any delay. my homebutton is so fast, that even the app switcher dont know if i want to close the app or going to the appswitcher. so for that reason i have silly bouncing app animations when double press the homebutton while im in an app.

My 7 Plus was set up as new and has the app closing animation lag.
