Carrier iPhone 7/7+ Sprint Pre-Order Thread

I've never pre-ordered anything before so correct me if I'm wrong. But isn't the whole point of pre-ordering something to be one of the first to have it? What was the point if we were going to be forced to wait weeks or months for our phones? Especially when there are people who will walk in the store that morning and get the same phone as someone who already placed an order and has to wait until November? I feel like I wasted my time. Unlike a lot of people who are just anxious to receive their phone because it's new.. I'm actually depending on it to come since the screen on my 6 plus only functions 2-3hrs out of the day when it feels like cooperating. Which is why I thought to stay up on a work night and try my first pre order. This process has been a pain.

ordered iPhone 7 matte black 128g after 9/9. had an estimated ship date of 9/16 in confirmation email. i received a tracking number 2 days ago, tracking number finally working. i logged into ups my choice on desktop site, it shows an estimated delivery date of 9/16 by the end of day.

Completely agree, had I known there's a possibility that we wouldn't receive our phones until the end of the month, I would have tested my chances of getting the IPhone 7p at one of the many Sprint/Best Buy/Target retailers in my area.

But let's remain optimistic, there's still a pretty good chance we'll get our phone on launch. :D

I'm praying that's the case. Just a little discouraged cause a lot of people on other carriers or orders from Apple seem to have tracking already. Although we pre ordered are we still able to try our luck at a store and cancel the pre order if we find a phone available?

Are you upgrading or new customer? I know as a new customer I'm unable to cancel orders but I'm not sure if the same applies to Sprint customers who are upgrading.

Interesting on what day did you order?
 
I apparently got an email this morning saying that my order was processing and Estimated ship date says the 12. I know the website said ships by 9/30- iPhone + 32gb rose gold.

So I preordered my 32GB Black on Monday and it says it'll ship Friday. What are my chances that I get it on Friday. First time Sprint customer here and first time iPhone owner. Can't wait! :)

Welcome! Chances are you'll get it on launch if not then definitely Monday.

Has sprint send you any tracking info yet?

I also ordered the same phone after 9/9, on 9/10. Did you order it on the 10th too? I haven't received an email for it shipping yet. Gives me hope I may get it Friday. I haven't even received the confirmation email either (I ordered it on the phone through telesales, so I'm not sure if that's why). Also, have you tried entering your phone number as the reference number on UPS' tracking site? I'm wondering if that works for you as well.
 
Hmm... delivers Friday.. and to my town. the only delivery in the area for Friday. Sounds suspiciously like my phone. I got the iphone 7 plus in matte black. took forever for sprint to work but Had an 9/30 ship date

1) I'm curious how you know you're the only one in your town getting a UPS delivery. 2) When did you order yours?

I ordered both of mine (had to do 2 separate orders due to Sprint's website being screwy) around 3:45AM EST on the 11th with a ship date of 9/30. No tracking numbers showing up yet.
 
Sprint is the worst with pre orders

1. My town is literally super small. It just seemed ironic that phones are being delivered through UPS on the 16th and there's a delivery coming then. I'm having HOPE that it's my phone. 2. I ordered 9/9 like as soon as the Sprint site started working again so around 4am EST
 
Sprint updated their shipping estimates so I'm guessing they have finally started processing orders?

My shipment is 3 pounds and it looks like yours is 1 pound. I wonder why there is a difference in weight? I ordered the iPhone 7 256gb black. Sprint added the return kit. On the Sprint order status page there is only a tracking number listed for the return kit. The tracking number has been there since Monday and finally works today. I ordered on Friday around 4am PST

I got a tracking number on Sunday but for my wife's phone nothing.

Every year it is the same with sprint, if I use the order confirmation for her phone it still shows nothing.

If I check my ups it shows two packages coming from sprint.


So for everyone that is freaking out, just calm down sprint sucks at this tracking stuff bun generally they are good at getting you the phone on time.

When I placed my pre-order. I immediately had a charge from Sprint on my credit card for $0.00. A day or so later, it disappeared. What kinda hold or authorization is $0.00? Did anyone else get anything like that?

I didn't check immediately after I placed the order. I did think it was odd that it asked for a credit card number when the charges were zero all the way down the line. Even under tax and est tax it says zero. As I was placing the order it said total due today zero. A friend of mine has TMobile and she was charged yesterday for taxes. I've always had to pay tax on a phone but it doesn't seem like Sprint is charging tax. Very strange.
 
Yeah. I know they normally require a credit card for security reasons, normally to verify identity or such, or as it stated on mine, the first month lease payment was due which was like $35 for me. So I was expecting a hold of the first least payment amount but to see a pre-charge of $0.00 kinda confused me.
 
Patience... Apple in california is packed with jets from UPS & Fedex - Should be hitting sprint warehouses today tomorrow wakeup & yous will have confirmed tracking for 9/16 ship dates... all of us 9/30 dates look for tracking a day or 2 after release Apple deffinitly didnt have enough inventory for this release you can tell by how the carriers pages kept going down - All in all yous will have the phones so be patient and think of stressed apple is and sprint with crashes & Customers calling in everyday asking about orders to a phone that hasnt dropped yet lol

I ordered iPhone 7+ 32Gb Gold 9/30 date....

Installment plans require tax up front. Lease plans get taxed at the monthly rate.
