Carrier iPhone 7/7+ Sprint Pre-Order Thread

Last fall the program was upgrade whenever the new iPhone came out...they changed the terms to make you wait until 12 months so it was correct in making you eligible in September...this time you will have to make 12 payments before

For me, I did the "original" Lease plan prior to the IPhone for Life plan they have now. For example, I am still paying the lease price ($50 for 2 IPhone 6 - 64 GB) even though I have completed my contract obligation and when I "trade" them in on this upgrade, I get nothing in return regarding a phone credit toward the new 7.

All that and I'm not a upgrade every year type of buyer anyway. I can see how the new program can be much better than the one I was on.

My order # 803450xxx and still nothing!!! I was adding a line and Im thinking if I dont get shipping info today or tomorrow, I will just go to a store and try to get one instead of the waiting game!! Anyone order a 7 Plus 128GB Jet Black have shipping info yet???

Probably this. I'd say there's a 50/50 chance they come on Friday even though we don't have shipping yet. Even still, what if one were to cancel, go to a store to pick it up on launch day, and then they run out of stock. Then there really would be a long wait, instead of maybe two weeks.

How can they go into a launch with such a shortage of plus models? I know they get an allotted amount from apple but that is so dumb.

I have been hearing that maybe Apple pushed up the release date because of the problems Samsung is having with the Note 7...could this be the reason for the supply shortage? Apple taking advantage of Samsung phone issues by pushing up the release but not actually having the inventory to back it up??? When I called Sprint, rep did mention that for my particular model (7+ 128G, RG), the release date is 09/30. I said to her, but the phone is being released on the 16th. She said, yes it is but the Plus models release date is not the 16th...

I dont know how true this is. I think at this point, these reps are just saying whatever to get us off the phones lol.

What do you guys think?

If the release date for the pluses is not the 16th, than Sprint is awful. My girlfriend is getting her plus 128GB RG on the 16th from Verizon and I have seen other Verizon people get tracking info for their 7+.

I think the sprint reps go by that list of shipping dates per phone type. They don't know anymore than we do it seems.

There is no way Sprint didn't get any Plus models. They just need a cushion in the shipping dates. I believe I'll get mine before the 30th which is my ship date for my matte 128gb plus

Exactly. Like I said earlier in the thread, calling customer service reps isn't going to get you any meaningful information because you can't verify the validity of what they're saying.

The only thing that can be trusted is an update on UPS My Choice or your order status having tracking added to it.

You're just going to frustrate yourselves by talking to the reps

The number of Sprint preorders was astronomical compared to preorders for the 6 or 6+...Verizon phones going out first should be no surprise.

Just talked to them via live chat. Apparently my phone is at the warehouse with an estimated shipping date of 9/16. I ordered an iP7 - Matte Black - 128GB. Hopefully they don't wait until the 16th to ship if it's already at the warehouse. Doesn't make sense for it to just sit there until then.

I ordered my IPhone 7 + 128 GB (one Black & one Rose Gold) on the 10th around 11PM CST and my message shows it will ship "by" 9/30. Still no tracking number but I actually called in and ordered my phones and the lady mentioned that we should get them on the 16th or no later than the 19th but who really knows.

I really hope that has some small shred of truth. Seeing that I ordered my black 128gb 7p on 9/9 but not until like 9:30pm thru telesales. I was on the phone over 2hrs most of which was hold time.

Ummm, they're just quoting the message in your order status, lol. Like I said earlier, there's no point in talking to customer service. They won't give you any useful information. The only people that know what's going on are the executives and those managing or working in the warehouses.
