I'm done after my lease is up. I think I'm going back to Verizon. First time I haven't had a phone on release day, first time ordering through sprint.
 
They told me I had "equipment assignment" and would get my phone in release day. Next rep I talked to said that's not true and they don't know when it'll come.

Yeah I really think they don't have them. Our phones probably haven't been built yet. I hope I'm wrong.
 
So I upgraded at BestBuy, and now I'm being charged for leaving the lease and not returning my old 6s. Could someone explain this to me?

I was on the iPhone Forever Plan (22 Mo.) so I upgraded my line through BB's website and chose the 18 Mo. plan. Now, I have pay $600+ (Including my bill), so much for the "free" upgrade.

That's well and good, but they should say they're not sure instead of giving the impression that it'll be here on release day.

Is Verizon any good? Why did you leave them?? Are their plans expensive? Only reason i still have sprint, and i still pay almost $200 a month for two phones!!
 
Man iPhone Forever sounds like a PITA. I was going to do it 2 years ago but went with regular installments.
 
Should just be the lease remainder. Once you return the old device the charge should drop.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what your saying.

The iPhone Forever requires a device turn in. Once the device is received and deemed working they will remove the lease charge.

I have a lease cancellation charge and a fee for not returning my phone?

But do I have to pay the full amount now? It's added to this month's bill which is due tomorrow and I can't afford that at all.

They're definitely expensive, but I think it's a you get what you pay for situation. Service is better. Waaay better customer service IMO. I think I paid like 165 but that was without a phone lease added. That was for 2 lines and insurance.

I am fairly certain you simply need to pay the due amount minus the remaining lease. If I remember that's what happened when I ordered my device last year.

To be certain call.
Request a return kit.

I wouldn't be so upset if sprint knew how to communicate, I was told i was going to get mine on the 16th,right after i ordered it as i was ordering it, and in the three "confirmation emails' i got days later, they have it available right now, they just didn't ship it!! If they would of told me i wasn't going to receive it until the 19th or 20th i would have been fine and waited, Maybe Verizon told their customers they aren't going to get it until then and not beat around the bush with when you're going to get it.

Here's what I find interesting.

Initially devices were given ship dates based solely on what was ordered. My "phantom" order of a 128 7P was given a 9/30 ship date over my 256 of 9/23. Funny thing was the 128 was ordered before the 256 by 10 minutes. Both were Matte black.

In reading this thread it seemed that Sprint never really knew when the devices would ship. If I had to guess it was solely based off info from Apple.

Meanwhile if you ordered from the Apple Store, IUP users were initially told to "check back" if they were upgrading. They also saw an almost immediate selling out of high demand devices.

Apple may have had quantity, albeit small, to spread out amount itself and retail partners. However shortly after the 9th a class action lawsuit was filed. I doubt it had merit but I'm betting Apple didn't want it on the table during launch. My guess is the quantities were reallocated to its retail stores for IUP preorders.

I'm willing to bet that Apple has some sort of ass covering clause in its agreements with the retail partners.

Now it's catch up. Unexpected demand for the Plus in addition to the Note 7 being off the market and getting bad press didn't help.

This is all theory brought on by not having a device to distract me. It is what it is.

Just spoke to order support, just said again that my device will ship by the 30th. No other update. Pretty comical.

The store employee told me that he just got an email from his boss (going to assume that means like regional manager or something) and the latest updates indicate that preorder or not, MB iPhone 7P 128 GB won't arrive at my door till the 2nd week of October.

Hopefully that is just an assumption based on current inventory and outlook. Otherwise, sheesh Apple.
