Yeah, there's definitely been changes to available stock at my local (Highcross) between 6 and 7AM on Saturday and Sunday, but I've seen no changes this morning at all. Odd.
Not sure it's a scandal, they've agreed with Apple to a certain amount of units of each model (Lets say 100,000 of each model, for example) and signed on the dotted line, Apple have a commitment to supply that many.... even if it means only having 50,000 units of each model for themselves in the UK - It's possible (And in my opinion quite likely, considering how many third party sellers there are in the UK and how few Apple Stores there are) that the majority of the stock is going to places like John Lewis and places like the carphone warehouse.
Yeah it'll be interesting to see! I understand they have to spread out some stock, but when 99% of the 7+ pre orders through Apple didn't get launch day delivery, they can't let carriers have do it.
Well not necessarily, as the poster stated earlier in the thread that the first 28 minutes were missed. So could have had some then. None since though.

Pretty sure it's a bit of both. I'm pretty sure since the jet black was used to advertise the 7 as a forefront have made people want it more. Kinda like the gold and the rose gold.
So do you recommend checking at 6.46 or 8am? I woke up at 6.45 and found nothing at all
That's odd. I checked every minute from 6AM and I never saw any variation on black appear. They had a few Black 7 units yesterday, never saw any Jet Black and nothing at all this morning.
Just spoke to Apple as received an email yesterday payment has been rejected. Tried to re-authorise and failed every card I tired. Spoke to them on phone and they have sorted it and now payment has been taken from my account. How long in till I'll see it in my profile, and preparing for dispatch?
Looks like there's little to no chance of them even getting any 7 Plus Black stock, or me being quick enough to make a reservation. I was hoping to be able to bag a reservation for the first weekend or at least within a week of launch so we'll see once 17th comes around. With Apple specifically telling people to come back at 6AM on Saturday, it's likely we'll see a huge influx of available devices and in general after launch day.
I had the same trouble. Rejected authorisation (via Apple Pay), the website rejected every card I tried. Had to sort it over the phone also. Status updated to Preparing within the hour.
Ordered the 128gb Matt Black plus at the same time as you and mine is still saying 27-29, hopefully that will change today

Upfront cost is pending on my credit card's available balance and I've had no fraud calls from Lloyds so am assuming everything is alright.

The reservation page for iUP. I checked continuously and saw no changes whatsoever, but there were changes the past two mornings.
Yours is an in store pick up so it may be different. Mine took a few hours after the payment went through. I'm not sure when exactly as I checked around 1 am on Saturday morning and it was preparing to dispatch. Last time I checked was around 10.30 on Friday night. My payment went through about 7 pm on Friday.
Aha, I'm looking more and more towards Rose Gold as it looks less likely I'm going to be able to get my hands on a matte black 7 Plus before November for iUP. It's just I've had a white-front iPhone for like 4 years and eager to switch to black for a while.
