Do you think they'll be shipping from China as with previous years?

So I've been following this thread for a few days, thought I'd add my experience.
Ordered a 7Plus 128GB black
I ordered through my carrier (Three) as an upgrade, finished the upgrade at about 9.30am on the day, can't even get a closer estimate to delivery than "by the 30th" But the three website is still showing delivery for orders placed as 22nd-23rd september so *shrugs*

I've ordered the exact same configuration also from Three as an upgrade via telephone - upgrade was completed ~9:15am - however, I'm struggling to get a firm date from Three. I was told by the agent on ordering that we were looking at September 30th, however, since I've been told "some point in October", another said September 30th, another September 23rd and most recently "between September 16th - 19th".

As we can't track these, I guess all we can do is wait for that DPD SMS or e-mail on the 15th to see if we've been lucky.

I'm really disappointed with Three and how they handle upgrades - they never really manage expectations and cause themselves so much bother, I'm sure, by not having any sort of tracking facility on their website!

I'm feeling the same. I've never had a problem previous upgrades, but this year it took an hour to go through due to the load, then the guy couldn't give me more of a vague date of "by the 30th of september" then he hung up on me accidentally, twice.
I feel reassured by the fact that both agents have said "by the 30th" and not given me any other variation, but I really wish I could just login to My3 and check the status without having to go through 3 call menus and a hold line to check it.

Ah suppose we might still get them for launch I had a delivery date of a week after launch for the 6s and got it on launch day through UPS from China.

No tracking number on mine yet only if its coming later, still can't understand why everything except one item is being dispatched ?

I've got a Preparing for Dispatch on my 7 Plus black silicone case but a Processing Items on the Leather one? Not sure whats going on. I think its a marketing ploy they pull by under stocking products for their launches. Seems to happen every year.

Can we talk about insurance for a bit?

Who currently covers your iPhone (and other devices)?
Are they any good?
Does anybody have any claim horror stories? (so I and others can avoid that company)

Thanks for any help you can offer

I have AppleCare+ on my Watch (Series 0, but will get it again for Series 2) and iPad Pro, but on my iPhone I use Endsleigh student gadget insurance. Partly because my parents agree to cover my phone and laptop, but nothing else, so it's their preferred provider.

Could not tell you how good they are though, because I've never had to use them. Makes me think there's no point, to be honest, because I take care of my stuff anyway. Better off saving the premium to put aside each month, so if there ever is an issue you can pay the price out of that pot, or just cash it all in at the end of your phone's life.

But having said that, I'll probably go and break the damn thing in a week if I don't have insurance on it. So will probably go with Endsleigh again as it covers Theft and Loss. Both unlikely situations but better than shelling out £819 for a whole new phone in that event.

The Watch, on the other hand, would literally never leave my wrist unless I am charging it overnight. Especially now that I can swim with it.

I'm a new customer to o2 and ordered the iPhone 7 Plus in Rose Gold. Really like the colour (my iPad Pro is the same). Upfront cost is pending on my credit card's available balance and I've had no fraud calls from Lloyds so am assuming everything is alright.

Yourself?

I managed to snag a 7 128Gb black and I'm moving back down to the regular size from the 6s Plus because it's too big :) Ive heard nothing from my order yet but I have got it in my orders on my o2.

No, with carphone warehouse you can't track like you can on the Apple Store but when i ordered it said October 17th, when is your iPhone due ?
I ordered mine through Apple. Its due 20-22 according to their websites.

We get free phone insurance through work...

That's one thing i hate about carphone warehouse where you can't track your order
[doublepost=1473683825][/doublepost]

And don't forget i think you get a free year of insurance with every iPhone

That's warranty though, doesn't cover accidental damage, theft etc....

Not insurance, just warranty. So if you smash / damage your phone, lose your phone or get it stolen, no luck.
