What makes you think that Apple have changed their production schedule?

I really hope this is the case, but I don't think is altogether very likely. My confirmation email for the 7+ Black 128gb came through at 08.15 and the delivery date is still stuck at 4-10 Oct.

Because there is still a few phones available for launch date, for example Silver, Rose Gold and Gold in a variety of storage combinations. Instead of manufacturing these phones, they will probably increase the production of the Pluses as these seem to be in greatest demand, and the delivery dates haven't slipped any further since Friday, and the following week they're releasing phones to more and more countries.

If you hover over the store name in the left hand list it'll say the store ID. Alternative, if you check
https://code.gladdy.uk/iphone/timeline and look at the URL for the store you want, it'll be in that URL.

You don't find many people moving back down to a regular once you've had a plus. Good for you. As for me, i'd never go smaller now.
I tried to go back to regular for the iPhone 6s but half way through the year I realised I wasn't using any of my unlimited data because the screen was too small (and I'm too old to see it!!!). When I changed to the plus I fell in love with it again .. so appreciate the extra size and using all that data!!!

I much prefer the feel of the leather, but it's all personal choice. They do look classy as though! lol
I found the leather too slippery, actually dropped my 6splus a few times because of it. Returned the case to the apple store 3 days later

Hello all,

Just a quick question. My original plans were to collect my IP7 in store on Friday as I have it reserved. However I planned to trade in my IP6 using Apple recycle program at same time to save any hassle. But now that they have charged my credit credit and taken the money am I still going to be able to get the money from the IP6 taken off the balance of the IP7?

I am probably missing this somewhere in the thread and I am searching for the wrong keywords but anyway.....

If I am already in the middle of an existing contract, can I join the upgrade program without taking out any new contract? The Apple FAQ is very oddly worded. It says you can join the program and will be advised about how to end the existing contract and pay anything still owed. That is NOT what I want to know. I want to stay exactly unchanged on my existing contract and still get the iPhone on the new Apple upgrade program.

I currently have a reservation for the 16th, but am thinking I am going to run into trouble with this....

Worth saying that since Friday, I don't think we've seen new stock appear during the day - only at 6:46am - 7am each morning!

Yes I've noticed that too, I did find a few Plus' pop up during the early hours of the morning but unfortunately not in black when I was manually checking the reservation system.

I'll be up for 6am on friday to see if they allocate more stock to the stores, fingers crossed!

Just had a live chat with the Carphone Warehouse, and this has been totally indicative of the whole process so far:

Me: Hi. Is there any update from Apple on the stock levels for the new iPhone 7 Plus being available for launch day this friday? I was told I was one of the first to preorder and would receive my handset asap, but have since been told that there will be no Plus models for any of your customers until mid October. Any news?
CPW: We are not handling the return of the Galaxy Note 7, please call this number: xxxxxxxxx
Me: I'm sorry, there's been a misunderstanding. I am enquiring about the iPhone 7 Plus
CPW: You will need to talk to Samsung about that.

........... ......... I'm done.

Amazing. If you screenshot that it could go viral.

You can still remain on your current contract but you would have to take a new contract out with Apple just for the phone only if you wanted to do the Apple upgrade programme.

Just means you would be paying for two separate contacts, one for the iPhone 7 and one for your existing sim/phone deal.

As an ex CPW employee whilst at university, I would like say we aren't/weren't all this ridiculously useless

That main reallocation and new stock will be 6am Saturday not Friday!

Until then, I think we'll just get cancelled orders/reservations every morning!

Hilarious, or perhaps rather tragic.

Just had minor panic. Ordered 7 Plus 128 in gold, in support console and delivery for friday....Then get an email from Apple saying my delivery has been delayed by one business day!

...was for my leather case and dock. Phew!

Thank you. This is what I was hoping, but all the blurb on the Apple site seemed to imply they wanted you to take out a SIM only contract with them at the same time and that I couldn't just sign up to a phone only upgrade contract. Seems I am good from what you say :)

That's my understanding as I'm doing the same as you, if I'm wrong someone please tell me! :)
