ordered my wifes 6s with O2 and it was Uk Mail, they also cocked up the delivery.

Yep I too have O2 phones sent via UK Mail and like you say they are useless. Example being delivery driver who lied by saying delivery was attempted even though I sat in all day for the delivery.

I'm thinking of picking up a case along with the iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black, does anyone know if the leather cases are durable? I've got a silicone case with my 6 Plus at the moment, it has been a great case and has lasted nearly the 2 years I've had it.

I got the leather Apple case with my iPhone 6 two years ago and it's held up pretty well, one small cut/scuff and that's it! Well worth the money (even if they have gone up about £10!)

I have an in store pick up for a rose gold 32GB plus on Friday; I have been charged. I only placed that order as my Black isn't due until the 27-29 Sept and I wanted to have a new iPhone on launch day.

But truth is rose gold is a girls colour! Still I guess buy a case. And refund when my black comes.

That's your opinion but I think there are a lot of people who would disagree with you. I myself have a Rose Gold iPad Pro and I'm getting a Rose Gold iPhone 7 Plus.

Anyone ordered their iPhones using a Virgin Credit Card before?

Idiots placed a block on my account and blocked the card and they can't give me any reason as to why the account is under review!!

Purchased 2 iPhones and one Apple Watch and called them up on Thursday to pre warn them of the transactions forthcoming....and they go do this, absolutely raging at them

The iPhones are in prepared for shipment so I know the transaction has went through but the Apple Watch is still processing so had to call up Apple earlier today to swap card over to my Lloyds CC

Was on the phone to Virgin security team today and I was promised a call back by 7pm,...didn't get the call and still waiting! I also asked how long the review was for and he said between 1 and 2 weeks..what the ****

Guess I know what will be happening to the card once the balance is paid

Debit cards wouldn't normally be charged unless stock is being allocated, right?

As much as I ragged on the CPW earlier, the charge for the handset is showing up on my bank statement this evening so feeling slightly hopeful I'll receive my Silver iPhone Plus before halloween. It's gonna be a long week though.

Last year our two 6s' were delivered by U.K. Mail and DPD. No issues with either company, although U.K. Mail arrived way before DPD.
Pretty sure I had 1 hour time slots from both companies.
I guess, like anything, the quality of service varies from place to place.

Nope but as seen above my Capital one and another persons John lewis credit cards were blocked for security reasons, seems a common them. But luckily mine was sorted in minutes via text.

My first direct card was blocked, sorted with a quick call and all is good.
Part of me thinks it's a good thing that the banks are protecting their customers.
A bigger part thinks SURELY they must know a new iPhone is out so if £1400 suddenly disappears from my account then all is normal? The same thing has happened for the last 5 years.
Well, not £1400, obviously... That's down to the Brexit/Apple tax

When I spoke to Apple this morning it sounded like credit card companies putting blocks on orders was a common occurrence. Probably because how often does anyone spend £600+ in one transaction.

That's the thing with Lloyds, when I spoke with them earlier, she told me they would send a text to confirm the payment

I recieved nothing from Virgin to let me know the account was being reviewed, no email, no call nothing!! Which really annoys me because I could have been in Tescos today and paid my shopping and would have had a knock back! Which would have could have been embarrassing

Really angry with them at this moment

I understand about the checks etc but there's something else I didn't tell you

After I had made them aware of the transactions on the Thursday, I them made the order on Friday and then tried to pay my bill that Saturday morning but the account was locked out, it only advised me to contact Virgin so I thought it may be an error, maybe weekend system updates etc. I then recieved a call on the Saturday night to confirm the transactions and that it was me who made them and I explained to her the I'd already called up on Thursday pre warning them. She got really snotty on the call and said 'Security Checks' about 20 times, so I told her not to say those 2 words again as I was sick of hearing them. I was thinking maybe she placed my account to be reviewed because I spoke back at her, but then the account was already locked out that morning when I went to pay my bill on Saturday... Hmmmm

Ouch. All my Apple "device orders" have always come with UPS, rest with UK Mail...
I get what you mean with UPS, I had issues in the past, but not recently.
But generally prefer DPD and UK Mail, as they give you an hour slot so you don't need to stay in all day!
I thought UK Mail only give you a 4 hour estimate?

My order with Very has changed to processing and I emailed them asking how likely delivery on Friday was and they said very likely (even sending me Royal Mail tracking numbers, which I assume means they've booked a pickup for a parcel with RM? Tracking doesn't say anything yet other than that a parcel is due to be delivered). I was already a Very customer so didn't join especially for the iPhone and even on the morning preorders opened on all other websites their advisors were telling people on Twitter that Very wouldn't be taking preorders until October! So, hopefully their buyers did get some stock and it comes Friday. Also ordered a Series 1 watch that also says delivery Friday.

I just spoke to very.. But they haven't got a tracking number yet for me? How'd you manage that

If Apple have charged my bank account yet my iPhone is due 27th then does that mean I'll get it earlier?
If it has been charged then from my experience that means you are very close to being shipped! Also check to see if it's in your support profile! I forgot what model you ordered GoFlex?
I am kind of hoping (Dreaming) that they miss us out because they will surprise us with 16th Sept shipping in the next few days! :):)
Well we ordered early enough to deserve a launch day delivery :D
I was holding our same hope that there are 2 batches of the phone en route. Both are coming in early and the second one they can now guarantee supply for the 20th, why people with later times get this.

The first batch for earlier times, they are hoping will come in even earlier but cannot guarantee exactly when so cannot update those ones.

Or maybe I am spending way too much time overthinking this as actually it is only 4 days, and when I have that as a long weekend it goes past in the blink of an eye.
No no, I like this theory a lot :D I don't care if it's true or not lol

EE & 3 Will use DPD you should receive a text 24hrs before with a delivery time window on the Friday you can log in and upgrade the delivery paying I believe £10 changing the slot to an agreed time.

Any ideas if you get such a text for iPhones pre-ordered for in-store delivery?

I ordered iPhone 7 Plus 32GB Black

They use YodHELL for their orders normally but have always used Royal Mail for Apple products so I asked them if they would be using RM this time around and they said yes and included two tracking IDs that show up on the RM website as valid numbers but with no info about delivery times etc so fingers crossed that will change Thursday! I thought you got a tracking ID for RM after sending the parcel but this must mean Very have booked a pickup which is why I am more confident about it coming this week because if it was October I doubt they'd have tracking numbers already? Hopefully...
