I guess we have to have all appointments to look at all phones.
They wont lock them away. A couple of years ago when the 6 Plus came out and we had the Bendgate issue, people were going in to the Apple Stores and deliberately bending the phones. Apple didn't respond by putting them in a glass case.
Some of the phones in Apple Stores are in a terrible state from people handling them all day long. It doesn't put people off

I'm having a you dilema, currently have a 6s plus ordered a 7 plus but considering going back to standard size. Have you decided yet?
Se dilemma after buying the 6+ and 6S+ the last two launches, they both went back within a week for their smaller sibling.

But I'm determined to stick it out with the 7+ this year even if it's to prepare me for next year's phone.

I'm assuming the redesign next year will reduce the overall dimensions of the 'plus' and that as with this year, the larger size will have any of the more advanced technology ( akin to to dual cameras this year).

At least this year will give me some time to adjust and WORST case, I have 14 days to return in case I really can't get use to the size

The front page details published just now about the iPhone 8 already makes the 7 seem dated. Edge to edge glass, possible ceramic, no physical home button

I have decided to go with matte black on EE instead with their upgrade every 12 months plan

So will cancel my jet black order via apple

It takes a bit of patience, especially getting the corners to stick down (very clearly explained in instructions and videos) Once applied I wrap tightly in a cohesive bandage overnight which ensures everything stays stuck down. Any bubbles left when you unwrap disappear over the next 24-48 hrs

I make do with just the skin, for my son's Jet Black 7+ I am going to put this skin on under hist case to prevent the case from scratching. Not affiliated with Best Skins Ever, just a very satisfied customer

I've used cling film in the past to stick the corners down. That way I was still able to use the screen (0:

Another one for best skins ever great products that stick and stick for a long time!

Edit- just actually order 2full body skins for my ip7 as they have 25% off at the moment so with that its worked out at £15 for the 2 which includes the delivery.

Isn't that plan like £65 a month? That's crazy for a phone. Even after a year you have to stay on the same or a higher priced plan.

Well I pay £55 right now so not much different. Would mean likely no upfront cost next year on a similar price.

Otherwise I would be having to pay £450 each year for my phone. Think it will just be easier

Apple Music free for 6 months and BT sport free for two years as well in the deal

Looks like some plus models with late September dates are starting to ship! According to the Apple.con pre order thread, people have been finding their phones using UPS track by reference. If this is true, then it is amazing news!

Is any other poor sucker waiting for Vodafone to update their order page or just me alone on the mugs' bench?
I've got an order with Vodafone along with the Apple order. Vodafone are always hilariously bad each year with their pre-ordering system (for example over the phone orders in the morning of pre-order day are taken with something called the 'contingency system' - which actually consists of orders just getting noted down to be bulk entered into their live system later in the day), order status and general communication levels. Of course its probably not helped this year with the billing/CRM switchover fiasco.

However, this said, in my experience in each of the past three years they've not yet failed to deliver when it comes to launch day.

In terms of the Vodafone order tracker, it will usually remain on stage 2 (we've received your order) until late Thursday when it will move quickly between stages 3 (allocation) and 4 (dispatch).
