It's almost enough to make me switch from Spotify, which has been doing the same discount for years. But alas, no 'Spotify Connect' feature, and the Discover Weekly / New Music Friday generated playlists are fab.
I prefer Spotify any day!!

I upgrade my iPhone and iPad every year without fail. The one exception was when the iPad 4 came out 6 months after the iPad 3 and I couldn't justify it. I like to have the latest and greatest and can afford to do so.
Don't get me started on that iPad 3 nonsense, I got suckered in on that one and to this day it's still my only device with the horrible 30-pin connector. They have also dropped iOS 10 support on it now so I'm gonna get rid of it.

I have this too but when my matriculated status ends next summer I Might switch to family membership as hubby uses my Apple ID and I can never get on half the time as get message saying it looks like am listening on another device!

I wasn't interested in the Sky Sport either.

I probably shouldn't admit this in an open forum, but I graduated in 2014. My university kept my .ac.uk address live, so I still have full access to Unidays. Have had half price apple music since they launched the student offer.

Lock me up now.

Lets not mention the iPad that shall never be mentioned again!

I got rid of mine as soon as the original iPad Air was released. One of the reasons was I wanted to change from the 30 pin connector to the lightning one plus I wanted to upgrade to the latest model and by that time could justify it.

Same thing here. I did all the betas, and halfway through (5 and 6 if I'm not mistaken) battery was very good!!
7 and 8 took a dip, and 10.0.1 since last week has been equally crappy... 6s
Yes! This is exactly my thoughts. It was around vets 5 and 6 they battery was great. It just went down hill from there.

I graduated in 1998! But work at a uni and doing another masters degree at another part time. Have been able to access the education store via my works network but noticed today that Apple now signed up to Unidays so not sure how tah will work after I graduate again.

If they just need an an .ac.uk email am fine. But if they need one that is student related I won't be.

What are we all doing with our phones when we get them? Setup as a new phone or select a backup?

I'll be setting up as a new phone. Yes, you have to re-download everything but it's only once a year!!

For me, backups are there only when something's wrong.

Torn on this one. Part of me wants the 'fresh' experience, the other part of me wants to preserve all my Activity and Health data from my Watch :/

I got the 7+ 32gb black and i've got delivery date of 20-22. my confirmation was at 8:13

I'd be happy with the 20th as a delivery day, don't get me wrong Apple if you are reading, I'd love it to be here on Friday! But I could deal with the 20th ;) let's hope my 27th moves forward, 8:06 confirmation 128 black +

Can you not store the health data in iCloud and just pop it onto the new device while installing everything else from new?

Definitely restoring from backup... will do a quick spring clean on my current phone first though, delete apps I don't want on the new one, perhaps delete a few photo's/screenshots that are in the camera roll that are a bit spurious. All makes for a faster restore on the new phone. Of course make sure I do an iCloud backup the minute before I setup the new one too.

I'd prefer if mine was delivered on the 20th by a long shot, stuck on the 27th-29th just now with no sign of movement

I cancelled my in store reservation and it showed up as available on the reservation site 10mins later so perhaps 6:45 is new stock rather than the system refreshing?

@RazorD

iv got an iPhone 7 plus gold 32gb on pre order saying preparing for dispatch and I should get on 16th sep anyone got anything past preparing for dispatch yet?

Glass screen protector , clear gel bumper case, faffed with iOS 10; this wait is never ending. 27-29th delivery of one of if not the most popular variant:(

I never really took Activity tracking seriously because I was lazy, unmotivated and also annoyed that it wouldn't be able to track my swimming.

The Watch 2 fixes a little part of that, so it'll be a new Watch and Phone set up for me :)
