There is no stock of the pluses online @ JL. Lol.

I think this is the greatest stock issue iPhones had since I can remember. 5s was constrained as well as I can remember, but never did Apple not have stock of products for launch day.
It's always constrained. Apple are doomed when supply outstrips demand on launch day lol

Has anyone had a dispatched on any phones if so where are they coming from and whos the courier?
Nothing yet. My phone is due to arrive on Friday. Squeaky bum time is almost upon us:D

My watch didn't dispatch until Thursday afternoon and arrived on Friday (launch day). There were others on this forum whose watch didn't dispatch until 10 pm on the Thursday and it arrived the next day.

I'm still going to say some prayers to Francis to be on the safe side :p

Not sure whether it's been mentioned here yet but John Lewis are allowing you to order from 20:00 tonight to collect in store on launch day.

They are currently showing Jet Black in stock for 7 128gb.

Their customer services also told me they have good stocks in branches on launch day so will definitely be work they a visit as a lot of people forget about them lol.

I've bought my iPhones from there in the past as you get a 2 year guarantee as standard - 1 year longer than Apple's for the same price.

Is that from Apple.com or third party. I've got a feeling that they're going to ship a bulk to the UK then dispatch from Ireland ? could be wrong.
Straight from China, mate. Why would they send them to Ireland first?

launch day phones for UK, are 'typically' already in the UK. They will ship from syncreon in Hinkley via DPD or UK Mail so IIRC you might not even see a notification change until late thursday, has happened to me in the past. Phones from the Far East usually come via UPS direct to your door.

Directly from Apple. I hope that means it's coming via DPD then.
Me too we'd actually get a delivery window rather than waiting in all day for it to turn up at 6pm o_O

They're supplying to such as John Lewis and other stores for launch day this year. So it would make sense to ship them to their distribution center in Ireland.

That's what I thought.

Got a 32GB 7+ at 08:12 and no movement - contemplating cancelling and ordering the 7 256GB as these are in stock from Argos with Friday delivery
Not sure when your original is due for delivery but I wouldn't cancel until you get the Argos one in your hands! I'm not at all confident that Argos, or any other retailer, will actually deliver come Friday (or anytime soon!!)

Official 7+ leather case. The buttons aren't as impressive as first imagined.

...thought the buttons were supposed to be metallic???o_O

Well fur us that are getting theirs on Friday, the phone is showing up on our support page which means the phones have been scanned and allocated to us, packaged up and are sat there somewhere ready to be dispatched on Thursday. I'm guessing in the UK somewhere.

Returning my Apple leather case as really not happy with the finish, there's like crease looking lines in it. Have ordered another, but the wait is 2-3 weeks now... Ggggggrrrrrr!

..isn't that the natural texture of leather though? Looking at my Midnight Blue Leather case on my iPhone 6, which has had over a year's usage, there are 'crease' lines all over it even now. That's what leather does though - no?

This is a pic of my case, way back in December:

Notice all the 'crease marks' in the red circled area - and this was a brand new case at the time. Its just what leather naturally does.

Watch order hasn't been dispatched yet either, been on 'preparing for dispatch' for two+ days now.

You're not going to get dispatched orders until tomorrow. Apple do overnight delivery, if you still haven't had your order turn to dispatched by tomorrow afternoon then you probably wont be getting it on Friday.

Meanwhile - My Very order still states "processing at supplier, delivery by Saturday 17th"

If I purchase an iPhone 7 Plus from John Lewis today, when will it be available for delivery/pick-up?

I'm well aware that JL won't have any in stock for launch day, I just want to know when they will since my order from Apple delivers on 4-10 Oct and I'd like to get it before then.

I know Apple say they only give one year warranty but my experience was they actually give two, but only if you bought direct from them.

My iPhone 5 was losing charge very quickly and it was just under two years old, I had a 6 on order for release date and as I would be passing the 5 on to my OH I wanted the battery issue fixed. So I took it into Covent Garden and said I need the battery replaced, the genius guy agreed and said yes that'll be £x I said OK then when he looked up my phone he said that actually as I had bought direct from Apple then it would be free as they effectively give a two year warranty for iPhones bought direct from them.

Just one isolated case I know.

Might this have been an example of the battery replacement programme for the 5?
