Where is the cut off then? Can you go back after 3 years? 10 years?

techinically under the Consumer Rights Act it can be up to 6 years if you can argue the failure wasn't your fault and the product failed because it wasn't fit for purpose, it's why Apple won't try to argue if you have a phone suffering from "touch disease" and will replace it even if your phone is out of warranty :)

Hi, I Ordered On September 9, but the status is still Processing Items, does anyone know how long it will take pass processing to dispatch? Will it be quicker than 4th?:
Processing Items Delivers 4 Oct - 10 Oct by Standard Shipping

No change for me.

My MacBook Air broke 3 times, same issue each time - faulty keyboard. Repaired without any QUESTION for free.

If you know your consumer rights and you're polite to the staff, there's a big chance you'll walk away satisfied.

Thank God my other apple stuff never broke, it's just the MacBook Air that's faultering. But even if my iPhone broke out of the one year warranty, I would still expect them to fix it for free until I'm not legally covered by consumer law in the country.

Hello! Been stalking this thread for pretty much a week so I thought it'd be time to introduce myself.
I back ordered a 7+ Rose Gold 128GB this morning with KRCS which I probably won't see till early October which suits me fine enough. I've also just ordered a Spigen case from Amazon due to all the good review in this thread (thank you!)

I think at this point, I'm more excited for the majority of you to receive your devices than I am with all the stress you've been through.

In my experience John Lewis is possibly the best place to buy anything in terms of customer care after purchase.

I've heard good reports about John Lewis and their customer after care; I can only recall one instance in the last few months where it didn't go to plan with them (someone else, not myself).

As for Apple they've been good to me on two occasions. Once when I dropped my iPhone 4s on the floor and smashed the screen. Was having a really bad work and the lovely Genius Bar girl replaced it F.O.C instead of charging me £169.

Then two years ago my three year old iMac mid-2011 developed an LCD panel fault. Had to pay KRCS £29 to generate an engineer's report and I argued it should last longer than three years (especially as I'd looked after it).

Apple replaced it for nothing under the SoGA.

I have it on good information that John lewis are under embargo not to take any preorders... but that doesn't make sense going on what the website says. They apparently have a large stock allocation that will be getting released on Friday morning. What's Apple up to?

Is there any chance that you can receive an iPhone from UK stock as opposed to China stock from Apple?

My two new leather cases have just been delivered. I absolutely love the colour of the Storm Gray case, however the case leather feels different to the Brown one from a year ago. I love the new metallic buttons too!

Also to anyone ordering silicone cases, I've been through 3 this year. They really easily damage and bits of the casing flick off. If I lived closer to an Apple store I would've bothered with the exchanges, but I don't so I decided to only have leather one this year.

usually launch day stock will have been in the UK and distributed from there. for the dates later in the month and next month, these are likely to come from China Directly and won't go via Syncreon for logistics. once stock settles and the store shows available for immediate delivery, those are likely to be in the UK already.

My iphone 6s plus was locked with Mazuma for £400 but had dead pixel/ white patch on screen got it back yesterday.

Took it into Apple store today and they tried booking it in for repair. The genius did a diagnostic test and it said backup was 2 weeks ago and my software was out of date still on 9.3.2 i think.

Anyway she said it has to be sent to the depot and gave me a loan phone (iphone 6). She could not overide it and the swap was greyed out on her screen. Really worried why it said send to depot!! Phone was immaculate too ( genius kept saying)

Anyone had this issue? Sorry if its off topic.
Could they see the dead pixel on the screen? Can you see it?

More likely that their system doesn't allow pre orders ..... their system is opening tonight (after cut off for Thursday delivery) for click and collect deliveries on Friday. This is inline with previous JL ordering for Apple releases. Argos got in a right mess opening for pre orders but the system forced delivery dates which couldn't be met through this week .....

Heads up for anyone interested.

JL is showing Rose Gold Pluses in 32GB/128GB as possibly available later on. All other colours are still struck through :(

Rose gold Plusses seem to be everywhere.

No it's not, its 12 months.
Don't bother. People will believe what they want to believe. In reality for the consumer law to stand up in court for something like a defective screen, you would have to prove either a design or manufacturing deficiency.

And you wouldn't stand a chance.
