Yep same here just had a txt and email from Very saying the same thing, love the message saying "we hope to deliver by November". Can’t say I'm upset or really that surprised, whilst I was really hopeful with Very being able to fulfil the order I always had it at the back of my mind that it was a more of a punt. Hasn't cost me any money as I used my credit so fortunately I’m not out of pocket
Lol I'm so glad I managed to get my Apple store reservation in for Friday. Really gutted for anyone who cancelled there Apple store order in favour of Very, that must be so disappointing.

I don't know, I've never owned an iPhone before. Though I get by fine with my 128GB iPad so hopefully it'll be OK.What are you storing?! I could get away with 128GB on a MacBook!

Apple's taken payment from my bank already and my 7 hasn't dispatched yet.

I am going to predict that for the plus models where no-one (literally no-one) has an Apple order expected on Friday, one of 2 things will happen....
1. Dates move forward and at least some people do get them this week
2. If above doesn't happen then no-one who has ordered on networks either will receive on Friday.
It is inconceivable that no-one would get from Apple direct yet the networks would certainly have stock. Could understand if at least a few people received from Apple.... but NOONE!!! just has no logic at all. All of the devices will be shipping from same place and whilst stock may well be spread thin, just can't see why Apple would leave themselves with nothing - particularly as they look to promote the new Upgrade/payment plans.

To think I could have avoided all this mess and ordered a standard sized 7 Black 128GB at the same time and got it on launch day.
How Apple thought they could launch in more countries on Friday than they ever have done in the past, and touted the Black and Jet Black Plus models online & in adverts whilst having barely any stock of them is beyond me.

I'd call that a win at this stage, equivalent wandering up a week late with a big wedge of cash!
I did think very hard about 256GB over 128GB, but I don't need it and another £100 felt like a (further) extravagance. Having said that I'll be interested to see what develops - pun intended - with camera RAW files etc, that could chew up some storage depending on how it actually works in practice.
You will likely end up with your phone ahead of mine arriving, which shows how model/colour choice trumps any amount of well planned button bashing on Preorder Day. Good for you.
Live chat with Apple Currenty regarding in store pickup for launch day, as my order still says processing. Fav her my order number and she said its currently preparing for dispatch for collection Friday. I said well online says its "processing" and she said thats running slow. Will dispatch within 24 hours
This is exactly my issue with this launch. Frankly the right thing to do would have been to make clear the thr Plus models in black finishes were not going to be available at launch. It is about setting people's expectations appropriately.

Probably a range of factors including currency fluctuations, higher manufacturing costs and the desire to compensate lower volumes with higher margins.
But what you see, she sees. Does it still say "Processing Items" for you? If she said it's preparing for dispatch, she's probably just saying that to calm you down.
I know what you mean, but I doubt they think about it like that. The news headline is "Apples new iPhone sells out in minutes" and "Apple launches new iPhone in more countries than ever before" - they will still sell a **** ton of phones and carefully stage managed marketing will lead to a sell out regardless of however many they make, which in turn generates more coverage & people thinking 'hmmm, must be good, I'd like one now too'.
For fanboys on a forum a long wait is a bad thing, for a manufacturer (who is pouring millions into optimising their supply chain and making as many as they possibly can) it's a good thing. For a successful firm like Apple it's an arms race between Marketing and Manufacturing - whilst they're on a roll there will never ever be enough stock for a Launch Day. This one thread in a pissy little country is 200 pages, I doubt they're losing any sleep!
Haha, I'm getting processing. But she said its showing as preparing for dispatch will within 24 hours to ensure its in store for the collection at 8am Friday.
