Why do you say that? This just guess work as usual? I know for a fact this is a major release refresh for Apple.

Bearing in mind this website is clearly labelled Macrumors ... Whilst *clearly* speculative at this stage, there is a consensus growing that next years iPhone will be 'special' and include bigger changes eg: OLED display, no Home button at all etc, and coincidentally the 10-year anniversary.

I personally couldn't give a monkeys if they're holding back, I believe that they put everything they have into each product when it's ready / available / practical, but there's an arguable point of view that the 7 is a bit 'meh' and a second tock on the 6 rather than a tick.

Alternatively, you know all this and you're trolling us. "Whatevs", having exhausted all avenues until Saturday AM I'm sticking with the thread for it's comedy value now ;)

I don't understand the anger at John Lewis really. Or Apple. Or people buying from either Apple or John Lewis. They're just selling phones or buying phones. We will all get a phone to call our own at some point.

Save your anger for tube escalator queue jumpers, everyone knows they're the worst.

IKR? The shamelessness of it! Grr :p

I don't understand the anger at JL they're just selling phones. I do understand the anger at Apple all the people who refreshed the page on launch day getting their orders pushed back just so people can buy from a third party on launch.

Here's my situation:

i ordered a JB 256 7+ at 8.10 on the 9th due for delivery between 4th-10th Oct.

i still cant decide between the 7+ and the normal 7 (coming from a normal 6) or JB or black but yesterday i managed to secure a black 256 standard 7 from the glasgow store on launch day.

i have 2 days to decide which one to go for o_O

ps. had a JB 7+ on order with very but cancelled as soon as i received the email today.

Like you say it's all "rumours". You hear this stuff all the time on macrumors. But then again I'm only hear for delivery times.

I bet you one thing thought. They'll still be a home button.

Think Wednesday onwards will be the first time we see Pluses available to people who preordered
I really hope so, but I'm still stuck at 27th :(
Exactly what happened to my order when I changed my delivery address. I've done it Monday morning.
Sorry if you've already said, but what colour and size have you ordered? I wonder if editing the delivery info would move my order forward, not that I would try it!
Yeah. If people in Australia are getting notified Thursday morning, hopefully people in the UK will get notified Thursday morning too. It's 2130 in the UK.

I live in the UK.

I'm in the same position as you. Still says processing and the money was taken days ago.
I think I missed something, what's been happening to Australian orders? Have they been getting good news?
Just read something about Apple removing the Headphone connector, Saying its wrong, they shouldn't have done it, To be honest i don't really see what the big deal is personally i've never been able to like headphones and beats headphones i hated them not the sound or anything like that but trying to get them out of your iPhone i had them for about a week then cable broke, i mean i if the headphones are good sounding with great battery life and don't fall out of your ears then i'll buy them so i mean maybe i'm alone on this one but for me i'll sign on the dotted line for that.

So that's my take on Apple removing the Headphone connector, I'm interested in hearing your opinions too,

Jack
I think overall it will be like the CD drive in MacBooks, it will be awkward for some people at first and then all of a sudden we will wonder why we were using such an old connector! I am glad Apple gave us an adapter to help ease the transition but overall I look forward to seeing what new headphones get launched as a result :)
I placed my order at 8:11am for a matte black 128gb 7 Plus, I was shocked that the estimated delivery is 27th after just a few moments, anyone else ordered the same phone and got quicker delivery?
Exactly the same as you, I can't remember if anyone with our model has seen the move to 20th-22nd delivery :(

There are no 'walk-ins' this year. You can queue but it'll just be a social occasion with no Apple purchasing of any kind involved!!

They've started to que already??

Yes, unofficial queues. The staff are saying there will be no walk in stock. Realistically a lot of them will have reservations too and are just scalping or trying to sell their spot in line to someone who doesn't realise there isn't any walk-in stock.

They say there's no smoke without fire. In this case, there is a queue without stock. :p

Anyone had any communication from 3 mobile yet? Delivery for launch day
Waiting on 128gb matte black :)

iPhone 7 plus 128gb normal black

Basically, I knew that my order (08.05am) would get bumped up to the earlier delivery slot which was 20-22september. I changed the delivery addresss to my workplace, as from the 19th to 26th September I'm away in the Lake District and would be unable to sign for the delivery at home, risking the phone being sent back to Apple and losing it getting earlier.

For those people picking up on the 'if I change my delivery address it may help / hinder my delivery date' I *did* change my delivery address when my Apple.com order moved from Received to Processing and it *didn't* make any difference.

YMMV, but I wouldn't bother trying it if you're hoping it might move you into the 20-22nd boat. Personally I had to do it as the app ignored my careful attempt the day before to confirm my default delivery address.

I'm away on the Eurotunnel for nice road trip on Weds 28th - two weeks today - and would really like a new 12MP dual-lens camera in time for that!

EDIT: Apologies - I changed my address on Monday & nothing changed, but added my County tonight and it moved from 27-29 to 20-22, but we shall see ...

Ordered a iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 plus side to be delivered Friday, but Apple Store App says Preparing for Dispatch. Does anyone know if the phones are already in the UK or are they flying in from overseas?

Just that they're ahead (Thursday morning there) and people who went for the pickup in-store options are starting to get notified that it's ready for pickup at the store!!
