I spotted all the posts about date changes on orders from Very... Strange but I have not had any email, text or change of date in my account for the phone I ordered (7+ 128gb Black).

Still has to be worth leaving the order as mine still shows for delivery this Saturday. Ever an optimist, and no monies changed hands...

Yeah. If people in Australia are getting notified Thursday morning, hopefully people in the UK will get notified Thursday morning too. It's 2130 in the UK.

I live in the UK.

I'm in the same position as you. Still says processing and the money was taken days ago.
I know. You're doing the in store pick up :) when you replied with the time I didn't see you're screen name and thought you were the Aussie:p

At least we know what the process is for the instore collections now.

Fair doooos.

Yeah. Hopefully by the time I wake up tomorrow, it's not processing anymore.

Although, how can be it ready for pickup in Australia if it's Thursday? I don't know...

Says ready for pickup but to come in tomorrow (Friday).

To reserve a case for in store pickup is says for pickup tomorrow (Thursday). Do I have to pickup then or do they hold it till Friday?

Likely no real need to reserve a case if your going in for a preorder anyway. They had plent last time I went to a launch. Saying that, I was the first in the store so they might sell out later on.

Well I can't say I noticed the lines until 8pm when the lines were through every phone except rose gold. I chose the black model at around 19:50 and it said order from 8pm. It was only at 8pm that there was text saying 'out of stock' on the black model. It could've said this before 8pm if there wasn't stock.
The lines were there all day. Someone even refers to them earlier in the thread. So, although it wasn't very clear, they did indicate they weren't going to have stock. Anyway, I hope you get yours soon.

What are the chances of John Lewis having 7 plus 256gb matte or jet on Friday? Their customer service reps say they will have it!

Clear Spigen, Clear Orzy (not shown) and Apple Tan Leather...that is amazing :)

Dude... you need to STOP with this picture!!

It's making me want to change my order to a gold iPhone and have this exact set up!

I'm thinking gold iPhone, this case, and the white background with the emerald blob / jewel thing.

Mm! :p

I've been checking the reservations every morning from 6AM and then I got lucky. Hardly queue jumping.

I thought you bought yours from Apple? Either way, you'be missed the point again. The queue started on the 9th...and it should have started everywhere on the 9th.

Put it this way; you join a queue outside a shop on the 9th to buy a phone, anticipating a 7 day wait. And then, 5 days in, another queue forms. And the people at the front of *that* queue get precedence.

Yes, John Lewis and Apple are different stores; but the supplier is the same: Apple. Delays and stock shortage will reflect on Apple; John Lewis will get no such grief.

Let's call it a day. I'm not expecting you to side with us; you're getting a phone. Just try and understand why other people who feverishly pressed refresh on the morning of the 9th are a little irritated that they're still looking at a launch day...that isn't a launch day.

The 7 is clearly a stop-gap for Apple until the major refresh next year.

Why do you say that? This just guess work as usual? I know for a fact this is a major release refresh for Apple.

Quick scenario.

I'm Apple. You're John Lewis.

You sell more of some of my products than my Apple Stores do (yes, this really is true for Macs).

You devote huge amounts of your very expensive real estate to showing off my products.

You add 2 year guarantees which makes my products more attractive.

You ask for a piece of the pre-order pie for iPhones.

I say no.

You'd be hella pissed off.

Shouldn't bother Apple as it's still shifting their stock.

I did miss out on a phone. I was refreshing the store on four devices and three internet connections but couldn't get in until 08:09. I wanted Jet Black Plus. I didnt get one, like everyone else. I was pissed, but then @RazorD's amazing reservation system came about and that helped me get a reservation for the next-best thing. There's no point in letting it get to you, it's just a phone, no-one's died.

"You'd be hella pissed off" meaning "John Lewis would be hella pissed off".

It's not like Apple decided how many phone they were going to give John Lewis today.

That's all allocated before last Friday.

It's up to John Lewis when they start selling them, and they fitted around their logistics system. Sounds smart to me.

I placed my order at 8:11am for a matte black 128gb 7 Plus, I was shocked that the estimated delivery is 27th after just a few moments, anyone else ordered the same phone and got quicker delivery?

Have the 32gb Matt Black with the same estimate. My order was also placed at 8.11am.
