So what you all doing? Ordering for delivery or store pickup?
I've always done delivery but this year I'm going to reserve to collect next Friday.

What's it like doing it this way for the people who have done it in the past?
Can I just go as soon as the shop opens, or do I get an allocated time?
You get an allocated time slot -15 minute window but you choose when you want to pick it up. That's it you just show up within your timeslot, show them your reservation and they go and get your phone. Then you pay. It's really straight forward.
[doublepost=1473383689][/doublepost]So I've talked myself back into getting the 7 plus. I'm going for the 128GB 7 plus in rose gold.

Is there a order limit? I need to order three 7's

Probably two.

They are but haven't said what the return conditions are beyond "good"...they are only saying his will get scratched, but not that they'll accept it back scratched, that's my concern.

"Condition of Financed iPhone when Exercising your Upgrade Option. As noted above, your Financed iPhone must be in good physical and operational condition when exercising your Upgrade Option as determined solely by Apple or Apple’s Trade-In Partner (“Trade-In Partner”). For a Financed iPhone to be considered in good physical and operational condition, the Financed iPhone must:
Power on and hold a charge;
Have an intact and functioning display;
Have no breaks or cracks; and
Have Activation Lock disabled (you may be asked to disable at the time of upgrade)."

Based on that criteria wear and tear such as minor scratches should be ok.

First post on this forum after looking at it for a number of years. Just wanted to ask a few questions.

I'm gonna get the 128GB option since the 64GB isn't there this year. I'm gonna go for the plus version this time round instead of the smaller version.

Can anyone what Apple Upgrade does and can you cancel it at anytime?

I compared up and without applecare. I can get the 128GB plus £38.50 a month and my sim would be £18 a month with EE with 6GB, unlimited texts and calls a month. Which would work out together as £56 a month and with both being separate prices as £38.50 and £18 a month. I'm waiting for EE to release their deals since i'm due a upgrade with them before deciding whether to go with Apple Upgrade or EE.

I swear if I go through the checkout with Three and it finishes with a 4 week dispatch time, I'll scream

Up earlier and I don't know why, still a while for pre-order and work, happy sleepy day today.

Still unsure on the upgrade program....

Wanting a 7+ 128Gb, will probably want an 8 if expected big update.

So do I buy outright on a 0% credit card I have, or do the upgrade? What are people doing?

Upgrade program is 12x£45 + £49 about £589, then start again so renting this 7+

Or buy outright £819, then sell next year at say £400? Then buy again?

So 1 year cost if using upgrade program £589, whereas bought is £400. Is this correct or am I going crazy here!?!?

I know the upgrade program has AppleCare but not bothered on this tbh really.

Thoughts....

I am going out right and buy it then sell it if there is a major upgrade on the 8th, if there isn't... I'll keep it until the following year.

But you can do that on the upgrade program, or the 0% standard way as well.

Just unsure what's best really?

Quick question. For pre-orders to get picked up in store. Do we pay today or do we pay when we collect it? (Buying out right)

You could, I personally never done it that way, always buy it out right, less headache for me at least.
Also I am going with the 7+ Jet Black 128GB, I think that might hold its value better(maybe?).

It is your correct, buying outright means wouldn't have to goto shop as well! A plus in my book!

How much are you thinking the jet black and others would sell for, 7+ 128Gb next year at this time? What are you banking on?

Honestly I don't know, maybe the same as Black or higher (400~500quid?) if you look after it and protect it, which I do with all mine, hell my 6+ looks brand new, no scratch or anything, it's a gamble, you go for it or not.

I thought if you pick up in store you pay then? I didn't pay straight away last year as I never got it and never paid.

Right.

iPhone. Check.
iPad tethered to work phone as a backup. Check.

Think I'll have the iPad set to Apple Store website and iPhone on the app. Not much else I can do really from a layby

If there's an option to pay now. I'd rather secure it!

Don't worry it is secure. As long as you show up at the time you pick they will have your phone for you. I used this option last year and had no issues. The only way you can pay today is if you choose the delivery option.

Considering the networks arn't going to release price plans ahead of pre-orders I'm going to go down the pre-order for in store collection route whilst phoning 02 to see what their plans are like.

Hopefully this way I should have one waiting for me regardless of which route I take to get one.

No, Apple have always taking the money once their product is shipped/delivered to buyer or collected, you shouldn't worry too much about that.
