The lack of carrier updates is winding me right up. Especially as they know that most people in the U.K. are pretty busy at 8am. How the hell are you supposed to make a reasoned decision? I still haven't been refunded for Vodafone's cock up last year.

Went in to update my payment info, noticed I can't. Gonna have to be reallllllly quick during checkout now!

Damn, I did my check the day it was announced to be prepared, good luck ;). I went as far as even putting my option of the iPhone I want in "favorite" to make the process a lot quicker :)

First post on this forum after looking at it for a number of years. Just wanted to ask a few questions.

I'm gonna get the 128GB option since the 64GB isn't there this year. I'm gonna go for the plus version this time round instead of the smaller version.

Can anyone what Apple Upgrade does and can you cancel it at anytime?

I compared up and without applecare. I can get the 128GB plus £38.50 a month and my sim would be £18 a month with EE with 6GB, unlimited texts and calls a month. Which would work out together as £56 a month and with both being separate prices as £38.50 and £18 a month. I'm waiting for EE to release their deals since i'm due a upgrade with them before deciding whether to go with Apple Upgrade or EE.

Im in a similar boat as you. I'm pre-ordering from Apple and just getting a SIM only deal from EE (£20 a month for 8gb of data and unlimited calls and texts).

Apple website now just shows the "Coming Soon - Check Back Later" splash page!

I think I'll be fine, its not like lots of people are going to order the 32GB Black 7+ :D...

That's why I don't bother with o2 if I want to get my phone on launch day.

Not that I ever use it but does anyone else think it's a total joke that the carriers don't release any info at all until the last minute?

The cynic in me says it's because they want people to panic buy and sign up to whatever rip off contracts they offer.

The realist says that they've probably found out the pricing on Wednesday evening to prevent leaks so perhaps they need time to prepare the tariffs.

For all of this hype about hammering refresh and 'getting in there early', do you guys really and actually believe this very underwhelming iPhone will sell out at pre order? Of course not.
Even Apple aren't going to bother announcing preorder sales figures because they know.

I updated all my details last night. I don't know if I want delivery or in store pick up. I need to be somewhere at 9 am but will be free after that. I think I'll Just make an order for both options and decide nearer Friday what to do.

IMO they wait so people panic pay and stick to what they know rather than having time to compare

I've got the app open on my iPad Pro ready to use Apple Pay, I've also got the webpage open in case the app does't work first.

Can anyone tell me if you can reserve for pick up in store on the app for pre orders? Never used the app to pre order before so I'm not sure?

Well I hope that means I secure my iPhone for launch day then lol it's a better upgrade than the 6S was from the 6. That one didn't sell out until the afternoon. It depends on stock levels and demand. The 128GB will be in higher demand this year as it's the middle tier and there is no 64GB.

I'm seriously considering doing the same. I'm happy with my now rolling contract with 02. Since the plus models came out they have never had a happy medium in terms of deposit and monthly bills, and unless they add more options this year then it's going to be worse with the price increase for the plus models.

If I remember correctly, when iPhone 6 was released, all pre-orders that wanted it by launch day was done in 1hr? (correct me if I am wrong), this was the 64GB iPhone 6plus.
