Received my black 7 128GB morning, happy with my purchase although it takes some getting used to the smaller screen size as I've come from a 6s+, which I'd sold to Mazuma.

A few hours later I get an email from Mazuma saying:

"Apple iPhone 6S Plus 64GB classed as Faulty - Defective LCD screen. White mark(s) in display. Mostly visible on white background. New LCD screen required."

I've had this phone for 12months, in a case & screen protector and has been cherished, not a mark anywhere and had no issues with the screen and I can be a fussy bugger!
They've reduced my offer from £400 to £150, which I've refused and ordered the immediate return of my phone.
I've used Mazuma many times in the past, when I sold them my 6 and never had any issues, has anyone else had problems with them??

It's tainted my launch day buzz as I won't get anywhere near £400 for my 6s+ and has even led to me thinking of returning the 7.

Hope everyone's had a good day!

I picked mine up in Watford thus morning. What a journey. A normal 45 min drive turned into 2 hours with bad traffic. My appointment time didn't mean diddly squat. I was in there for an hour. First queuing outside for 20 mins then inside for 35. People were moaning they needed to get work. Oh well at least I have my iPhone. They didn't ask for any form of ID either.
On the upgrade programme?

Yes. My 6S plus. I've ended up doing a half restore from back up and then I stopped it as it stalled and then installed the rest of the apps manually. I still got all my settings, emails, messages, photos, calendars in the restore. It installed 81 apps and the other 110 I did manually.
What a pain in the ass! Just when you want to play with it

I didn't get to JL today as I managed to get a JB 7 for collection tomorrow, so going to go and decide which one to have after work tomorrow :)
The big screen always concerned me but for once this time it doesn't a picking up a standard size one again just feels small and weird

If its unlocked, carphone warehouse will give £390 if that helps?

Just take it into the store and they'll be able to give you a price and if they don't deem it as faulty you should be all good.

Yes. I sent a immaculate S7 edge off to them about 2 weeks ago. It was only 4 weeks old and didn't have a mark on it. They initially offered me £330 for it. After receiving it got an email saying that the screen was cracked and it was flickering and therefore they wanted to offer me only £130. I refused as the phone was in perfect condition when it was sent and requested that they sent it back. The phone arrived back with a broken screen which was flickering. Mazuma are blaming Royal Mail. This was not the condition it was in when it was sent. I had to have the phone replaced under my insurance and file a claim for damage against Royal Mail to cover my excess (£60). I've since sold the replacement handset to CEX for £300.

I don't think I'll bother sending any of my old phones away anymore as it's not only my experience, I've been reading a lot of stories of people sending in perfect devices and the recycling companies significantly reducing their offers.

I think the stereo speakers aren't half bad. I played Minions film (Cough!) to test them, and you could hear the stereo well. A huge improvement in my opinion. I just feel a bit 'wonky' as one speaker is at the base of the phone and the other is on the front (earpiece), but it sounds good for the size.

I checked my order earlier and there was a red message saying failed payment..i phoned the halifax bank and they saw an attempt at a 720 payment but there was nothing wrong at the banks end..they said it must be at apples end the way they were processing it..
Anyway im still at processing stage and i havent phoned apple yet.. i dunno what to do de dum..
I havent recieved any emails either..weird..
You need to phone Apple otherwise your status won't change. They may need to re-enter your card details manually.

3D Touch is on the 6S too, so I don't think the bit about staff not being set up to give support for the 7's is accurate at all.

Not that it matters now, but I think a factory restore would have solved the issue.

What I meant was they didn't have any phones set aside for replacements or spare parts for repairs on site. I did a factory restore but the issue remained.

Thanks, hopefully Mazuma get it back to me ASAP.
I suppose the other option is to take it to Apple and get them to have a look at it, I bought it on the 25/09/15 so it's still under warranty.

Tip for restores: use iTunes to backup your old phone and then restore to the new one. It may take a little longer to be ready (iCloud restores will have you up and running quicker but will then download all the App Store apps) but the iTunes method will install all your apps for you in one go so may actually be quicker overall. Plus less taxing on your network and no worries about Apple's server load.

Fingers crossed it comes back in the same condition I sent it in.

No. Already paid for 2 iPhone 7s
Ok. I remember last year I reserved a 6S plus which I picked up on launch day. In the email it said I needed ID but I was not asked for it at the Kingston store. However in my case I was paying on the day.
[doublepost=1474055994][/doublepost]My Apple Watch is now paired with my 7 plus.

Just need to hook it up to iTunes to get my music. Still lots of work to do but after I get my music on there it will be serviceable!!!

That's really annoying. Mazuma are usually the most reliable of their kind too.

Currently deciding if I want to restore from and iCloud backup or just start fresh. The only stuff I'd like to keep would be messages, pictures and health data. But a fresh start would be nice.. Hmmm

Has anyone tried to AirDrop their entire camera roll to a new phone? Is that even possible? That way all I would lose is health data and messages, and I would be okay with that

The choice tomorrow is silver or the jet black as I have 1 of each reserved.

Over the next few weeks I'll see if getting the 7 will be worthwhile for me, if not I'll sell it and stick with the SE.
