Received my black 7 128GB morning, happy with my purchase although it takes some getting used to the smaller screen size as I've come from a 6s+, which I'd sold to Mazuma.

A few hours later I get an email from Mazuma saying:

"Apple iPhone 6S Plus 64GB classed as Faulty - Defective LCD screen. White mark(s) in display. Mostly visible on white background. New LCD screen required."

I've had this phone for 12months, in a case & screen protector and has been cherished, not a mark anywhere and had no issues with the screen and I can be a fussy bugger!
They've reduced my offer from £400 to £150, which I've refused and ordered the immediate return of my phone.
I've used Mazuma many times in the past, when I sold them my 6 and never had any issues, has anyone else had problems with them??

It's tainted my launch day buzz as I won't get anywhere near £400 for my 6s+ and has even led to me thinking of returning the 7.

Hope everyone's had a good day!

Dejavu

I got exactly the same message from Mazuma, white marks on LCD and they reduced it from £400 to £160 for my 6S Plus.

My 7 plus is P4D and coming on 20th-22nd and im not even excited at all since i took my 6S+ to Apple who have sent it off to depot for repair!!

Ive tracked it online and it says service requested meaning its not even got there! Thats been 2 days already.

I have another order with Mazuma for £390 till next Friday so i really need my phone back and soold before i can enjoy my 7.

Anyone had any experience with Mobile Cash Mate? they're offering up to £400 for my old iphone?

I sent my phone - they offered me £340 but on inspection £288

Due to 'slight marks' on the screen. I called and asked how they graded - if there's ANY mark they grade it as B stock immediately - NO if's or buts.

You won't get £400 unless you're sending them a new phone. Take about 50-60 quid off that and it's more like what you'll get.

I can't decide if I should take their offer of £288. on Ebay they are selling for £350 or so but with the fees and other nonsense I'll be about 10 quid richer and can't be bothered with the faff.

Me too! Spoke to an apple rep today. He said he was very confident about the delivery dates (20th-23rd).

Whens your one due to arrive and which model?

Black plus 128. I have 20-22nd as my estimate, I hope it's the 20th purely because I am impatient.

Also I need my phone soon as because I'm giving my 6 to my girlfriend and she has broken her screen, its all black apart from the top 1/5th.

I wouldn't dream of doing a fresh start. All that data I've acquired over the years is precious. Especially iMessage data - pretty useful when you're having arguments and you scroll back through conversations to prove someone wrong.

Also my health data is important to me, seen as I'm a runner.

Ha ha. I got my iMessages, contacts, calendar, emails, whats app, notes, photos and all my apple watch data restored. So it wasn't too bad over all.

Does anyone know if this is automatic and will happen over the weekend or should we stop checking and leave it till Monday?
I personally havent got another card..all my payment history has been with my existing card so why a problem now..secondly i think i apple paid for it ,i think that might be the problem personally..

Thanks, hopefully Mazuma get it back to me ASAP.
I suppose the other option is to take it to Apple and get them to have a look at it, I bought it on the 25/09/15 so it's still under warranty.

Actually i did have a white patch on my LCD which could be seen on white background but almost at an angle. How mazuma spotted that i do not know!! Unless they use magnifying glass to inspect it. Anyway Apple acknowledged it and their system wouldnt allow an inhouse LCD repair so they sent it off which is a pain for me as i now need to wait whilst the value is dropping almost daily!!

Apple pay has been the problem. I suggest people call up tomorrow if they paid with ApplePay and give them the card details normally.

I'm wondering if there will be any change on my account now it's been 'approved' after I called Apple tonight and the rep manually processed my card, or I'll have to wait till Monday to see if my order has moved out of 'in process.'

My 256GB Black Plus went to preparing for dispatch along with lots of the rest of you earlier too, but for me its too late... I fly off on holiday for two weeks at 7am tomorrow morning so whilst my phone might well be arriving sometime next week it will be sat idle at my parents until the 3rd Oct when I can finally get my hands on it.

When the announcement was made I thought 'great I can get the phone delivered or collected just before i go away', old one sent off, new one set up and new camera ready for holiday. Then the pre-orders were instantly well beyond the 16th. I held out hope that walk ins might be an option or somewhere like JL might come to the rescue but no.

So I've set up a new Envirofone offer (~£35 lower than if i could have sent it off today), though I might well look at high street or ebay options once I'm back. I have four cases and a screen protector ready for when i get back and I'm coming round to the idea that getting the phone when i get back will take the edge off the post holiday blues.

Its a been a fun week on here and have read everyone of the nearly 300 pages. Sure I'll still be lurking and stalking my delivery even though I'll be thousands of miles away on a sun lounger or something :).

Hope everyone who managed to get their phone today is happy and stay strong everyone else. It'll be here soon and you'll be glad you stuck it out for the one you really wanted, (there were moments when i almost cracked and went for a silver or gold one, but after popping into my local Apple store I'm glad I've waited for the black).

Not good! I've always had good experience with Music Magpie and I'll get £430 for my iPhone 6S so thats very good

Those who have upgraded from a 6 to a 7, early days but has it been worthwhile? I'm undecided about upgrading, thinking that I'm not actually gaining much. Previously have only upgraded when the screen has got bigger but happy with the 4.7 now.

I got mine today, got the usual text and email telling me its ready to collect
[doublepost=1474059022][/doublepost]
Thanks! I'll stick to Music Magpie then

been seeing a lot of your posts o_O hope you're enjoying the rose gold, got the gold plus and its so big, coming from 6

I used them to sell my 6splus and had no issues, got the price they offered however there have been some stories of them scratching phones and offering lower prices
[doublepost=1474061473][/doublepost]Anyone charged their iPhone 7 plus yet? I was still restoring from backup and got to 3% battery. Put the thing on charge with a 10w adaptor and in less than 2 hours I'm on 97%!

The big screen always concerned me but for once this time it doesn't a picking up a standard size one again just feels small and weird
[doublepost=1474054975][/doublepost]Anyone else loving this new speaker!?
Thats exactly now how i feel going to a 7+. My 6s is going to my other half so I backed up her 6 and restored to the 6s and it felt so tiny after playing with the 7+ all day! My work 5s just feels like a toy now :)

Ahhh, the end of a successful day for the Brooks household. (No, they're certainly not all mine!) :D

The excitement continues in this thread though with the belated but certainly worth-it JB Pluses coming soon. Can't wait to see the pics.

Hi guys for the upgrade program what do I need to take exactly to the Apple Store once a spot is reserved. I'm unsure at the moment

I think I read you need to take some proof of ID such as driving license or utility bill with address and your direct debit details so a card with acc no and sort code

Then fill out a form with your salary, work etc and then they do a credit check once approved the phones yours.

Is anyone else still `processing` for their orders with delivery on the 20 - 22?

Dont worry it will change over the weekend. Mines was originally 27th to 29th and bumped to 20th to 22nd then today went to P4D. Yours will change this weekend or Monday as Apple are normally accurate with dates.

Well all in all it's been a smooth and positive day for me. My Apple Watch Series 2 was delivered this morning by DPD at home. I had initially requested delivery to one of the neighbours either side as no one was going to be home. As it happened someone was home when they delivered and it was waiting for me there rather then one of the neighbours. :)

As for my iPhone pick up I had a pick up window of 6:45 PM and 7:00 PM. I got to the Apple store at 6:00 PM and thought I would have to wait at least 45 minutes. As it happened the store wasn't anymore busy then on a normal day and there was obviously no queue as there was no walk in stock.

There were two lines, one for the upgrade program and one for those who had pre-ordered for pick up and had already been charged for their orders. There were only two people in the pre-order pick up line and I was told by a member of staff to wait in that line. Within 5 minutes another member of staff approached me. Funnily enough he tried to scan the QR code from the email confirmation on my watch three or four times and didn't work. I had to take out my iPhone and bring up the email on there for him to scan. He didn't even ask for my I.D. I also got my iPhone handed to me in one of those cool plastic Apple bags at no extra charge. Within 15 minutes at 6:15 I was out of there with my shiny new iPhone.

I went straight to the kiosk in the shopping centre that sells phone and tablet cases and installs screen protectors. I asked them to install the Anker glass screen protector on my new phone which they gladly did for £5.

When I got home I backed up my iPhone 6S Plus. I then restored from back up on my iPhone 7 Plus. I then finished setting up my phone and then paired my new Apple Watch Series 2 with my new phone. I was up and running on both devices in no time. Now all I have to do is send my 6S Plus to Envirophone and try to figure out how to sell my Apple Watch Series 1. I'm also really impressed with all the new features and differences in iOS 10 on both my new phone and my iPad Pro.

So that's me set hopefully for another year until the next iPhone comes out. :)
