Yep very tempting for me too... But resisting as I really want to get the Jet Black
They didn't check anything on mine, just got back from collecting.
However I did buy outright even though I snapped it up on upgrade reservation this morning.
Just reserving it on the upgrade option gets you an iPhone plus. It's up to you how you purchase after that.

That's strange, I reserved an iphone 7 plus, got all the way to the confirmation page with the QR code - But I have not received an email for confirmation to show??
Yeah probably cos you bought outright, with IUP im sure they ask for ID as its a contract and they need to ensure they have the person in front of them that signing up for it
If its for upgrade plan all I needed was my drivers licence, but i had my bank statement and payslip with me in case.
Yeah, although that's a bit vague. Sometimes a rep from a store says something which you find isn't exactly true when you actually try and do it!
Lol went into the Apple store, a JB owner furious and wanted to return his phone. Turns out although he put it in one of the official leather cases, the process of taking the phone and taking it out (he needed to take it out for some reason) left some minor scuffs on the side.

Also he had some scratches at the bottom right around the charging port. Obviously when you plug in in the charger, you might touch the charger with the outer rim and sides of the phone a little bit - enough to damage the coating!

Yes @keserooz got a reserve but couldnt make it and they sent me the reservation email, went in and collected no problem

I was wondering the same thing.
Not to sure about exact timings, noticed on in Belfast at around 2300, don't know how long it was there before that. When I tried to reserve it was gone...
Ok, if I get it on the IUP though it doesn't matter if it's instant c grade right? I mean I want the latest colour, well because its the latest colour and no one else has them due to limited stock right? Or should i get the black! it gets harder and harder.
I genuinely was amazed at how hard it was to decide between the two in store yesterday, to be fair though there were no plus sizes to look at in store. What I did find though was the black was so so so slippy, but looked awesome. My daughters (11) first impression was the black all the way.....an she likes shiny stuff so this was a surprise but then when we felt the screen curve into the shiny black, it felt so much nicer in the hand.
Given that I'm tempted to use it caseless, as i'm fully covered on the IUP and Apple Care plan should I go for one likely to slip out of my hand that looks stealthy or go for the rare colour, grease and finger attracting but lovely feeling Jet Black! biggest dilemma of the year
