Ok bit of advice please guys...

I'm currently with O2 and was gonna rock up into their store today to do the preorder. But today I noticed that O2 are charging ~£100 MORE for the phone than Apple do.

This is not a new thing, I've only just cottoned onto it.

So I took a look at Carphone Warehouse and for the EXACT same phone on the EXACT same monthly tariff, they want £50 LESS up front. So, while they're also charging more than Apple for the handset, it's considerably less than O2. So I'ma move...

Anyone with CPW and can comment on them? For the sake of £50, is it worth the move? Can I keep my number? Do I need to contact O2 and cancel their contract to take the CPW instead?

CPW aren't a network - you will have to choose a tariff from one of the networks.

Bloody hell that was stressful. Been trying for nearly 2 hours in amongst school runs etc and finally managed to sell my soul to Vodafone for another two years. Dawned on me 5 minutes ago that the vodafone website hates safari. Tried it on chrome and it went straight through!

So - 128GB rose gold 7 plus for £140 upfront and £62 p/m. It's a lot but gives me 24GB data as opposed to my current 4GB so it'll shut the kids up cos they can watch more junk on kids YouTube...

Oh and launch day delivery so still time to send my 6 plus off to envirofone. Happy days.

Anyone out of luck in the UK ....... John Lewis maybe an option, I'm told they will have both phones and watches available for collection on 16th .... ordering likely to be the day before for next day click and collect, may open up orders earlier .... from past experience with ipads ordering usually opens at 0001 day before.

I treated myself to one of those famous "PEEL" cases. Meant to be the thinnest around it's coming from US so doubt it'll get to me until after launch...

I had one for my 6 Plus and it collects dust inside and scratches the edges after a while. Will look for something else this time.

Right. Hi guys and girls, I don't post often but I am a constant reader of the forums ;)
I was on the button this morning and ordered as soon as any format of ordering was available to me. I managed to snag my black 256GB for dispatch in 6-8 business days (delivery 26-29 September) small disappointment for the slippage from the release date but hey ho! I did it on the app on my phone and had diligently favourited my phone and set my account up with the primary payment and delivery details days ago... however, in spite of that the delivery has been slated for my home rather than work address. :(
We obviously can't amend orders right now, but if I were to change the shipping at the earliest point I can would I be risking further delivery slippage?

I'm both with Carphone Warehouse and work alongside them. They offer cheaper prices for the same tarrifs across the board, doesn't matter which network you go with.

I always go through them, you get a much better deal.

If you happen to work for the NHS or an employer under their Advantage Scheme or whatever it's called you can get a discount on your line rental.

Worth pointing out as it's 30% off per month.

I just did some rough maths.

7 plus 256GB with O2 = £35p/m x24 + £180 down payment = £1020

7 plus 256GB with Apple upgrade = £50p/m x 20 + £50 down payment = £1050.

although you get AC+ with apple.

In previous years, O2 put the "device cash value" at £100 more than the Apple cost but then the "total amount you pay" ends up knocking £100 off that so it looks like you're getting a deal when upgrading, when in fact you just pay the Apple price.

This year, the "device cash value" and "amount you pay" are the same and they are £80 more than the Apple price.

Going to see in-store later if there's anything they can do, otherwise will change to sim only and do the Apple Upgrade route instead.

I don't think they ever had the Plus black 256GB available for 16th as I was on there straight away and they started at 6-8 business days... Crap really!

The app annoyed me too! A had preset billing and work delivery adress, but it came up with an old home address as delivery address.... Had to fill that in again!

So according to CEX my Samsung Galaxy S7 is worth £261. I hope the pricing stays the same until the 16th! It'd make my new iPhone effectively £438.

I really do like the Samsung phone in a lot of ways but I'm really liking iOS 10 on my iPad and that was enough to sway me. After 6 years of Android phones I'm finally gonna try out the other side.

Ordered immediately the site went live. Already had a JB 128+ favourited and Apple Pay ready, so I couldn't possibly have ordered any quicker. Still got a delivery date of 26th-3rd. I suspect that's as early as they're due. Probably late manufacturing.

The earliest date I got when trying to pre order was 2-3 weeks. Who else will be camping over night at Bluewater apple store?

It will be interesting to see how this week plays out, and how delivery times change.. I'm still confident Apple will get the early pre orders here earlier than their estimate. The 27th is so far away, even if the phone ships in 8 days then takes 3 to deliver then it's still well before the 27th!

What capacity you got? Normal S7 or the Edge?

I'd love to do that one day, but this year won't be it for me, I'll be waiting for my pre order

Is it a CPW tarrif (iD), or is it via one of the big 4?
