So, I screwed up. Ordering this morning when I finally got in for a 128GB jet black iP7. I wanted to use the Upgrade Program but only options I seen were for delivery with Paypal finance or pickup in store but then it asked for card details. So, I ordered for collection in store, using the pickup option.

Now I see there was a special link for reserving an iPhone in store for the iPhone upgrade program. Do you think I will be able to collect my order in store and change payment method next Friday?

I'm both with Carphone Warehouse and work alongside them. They offer cheaper prices for the same tarrifs across the board, doesn't matter which network you go with.

I always go through them, you get a much better deal.
Eyyyy, Chatham lad! I grew up in Gillingham, moved away about 10 years ago.

So CPW is definitely the better route? Because looking at the difference between 'new' tariffs and 'upgrade' tariffs, if I upgrade I get a worse deal than O2. Am I a new customer, even though I'm already with O2?

Well this is a bit of a joke. Site was down until 8:08 for me. Ended up ordering a matt black instead of jet black due to the extra shipping delay. Ordered a 128GB Plus in Black with 6-8 days delivery.

My friend has just been on the phone to Carphone Warehouse. Ordered an upgrade on 02 at 8:55. He's got a Jet Black 128GB Plus being delivered on launch day. £200 down and £45 a month for 24 months.

Working that out the total cost is £1280. Minus £819 for the phone leaves £461. £461 divided by 24 = £19.20 for his contract. 10GB Data, Unlimited everything else. That actually works out a better deal than me buying the phone cash and my 6GB sim only with EE.

Pretty pissed!

I'm also with O2, the only tariff I can see with them for an upgrade is £350.00 down, then £40.00 a month?

After all that I changed my plus order to a standard 7... still worried about the size and my small hands. I think I made the right choice until iPhone 8 with wrapped edges

It will be interesting to see how this week plays out, and how delivery times change.. I'm still confident Apple will get the early pre orders here earlier than their estimate. The 27th is so far away, even if the phone ships in 8 days then takes 3 to deliver then it's still well before the 27th!
can't remember if it was last year's 6+ or the macbook a few months ago now, but the item dispatched and then sat around in South Korea for 3 days before moving again..

apples timings are usually spot on, but we can all hope

Two options for me i cant decide...

1) Trade in my iphone 5 for £90 cash
2) Keep it as a back up phone.

Pick up in store virgin here but now got a 7 black 128gb on reserve. How long does the process take when you show up during your slot? Do they set up tohe phone for you there and then and is there any other details you need apart from your payment card?

LOL.. you couldn't even hold out 2 hrs :p but convinced me to try the + size for the 3rd year/attempt

Ordered the jet black 7, 128gb through iPad Pro at 08:02. Picking up from metrocentre store next Friday :)
Oddly enough my other devices wouldn't let me do anything until about 08:20
So according to CEX my Samsung Galaxy S7 is worth £261. I hope the pricing stays the same until the 16th! It'd make my new iPhone effectively £438.

I really do like the Samsung phone in a lot of ways but I'm really liking iOS 10 on my iPad and that was enough to sway me. After 6 years of Android phones I'm finally gonna try out the other side.
Is yours unlocked?

My S7 edge is only coming up at £261. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong lol

I don't think they ever had the Plus black 256GB available for 16th as I was on there straight away and they started at 6-8 business days... Crap really!

The app annoyed me too! A had preset billing and work delivery adress, but it came up with an old home address as delivery address.... Had to fill that in again!

Thanks!
To be fair I was confident the delivery address was 'taken care of" so I didn't really look during the ordering process (too excited/panicked LOL) thank goodness the home address has been static for years, not an old one. To be fair the difference between work and home is only a 45 minute walk in terms of delivery centers so it wouldn't be a request to dispatch from a completely different area of the country, although I'd rather not have to call in sick to take delivery of a phone - I work in a team of two and my collegue has helpfully taken 3 weeks leave over that period - Arrrgh :p

Exactly, we've done our bit, now it's Apple logistics that comes into play

Four devices, three internet connections, refreshing Apple.com and the Apple Store app constantly.

And yet didn't come live until 08:09, order confirmation at 08:10.

iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Jet Black x2

2-3 weeks.

First launch day I've missed in many years. Sigh. First world problems.

Sold my S7 to envirofone.com for £299.25 using ENVSEPT5 as a code for 5% extra, don't sell to CEX.

Ok bit of advice please guys...

I'm currently with O2 and was gonna rock up into their store today to do the preorder. But today I noticed that O2 are charging ~£100 MORE for the phone than Apple do.

This is not a new thing, I've only just cottoned onto it.

So I took a look at Carphone Warehouse and for the EXACT same phone on the EXACT same monthly tariff, they want £50 LESS up front. So, while they're also charging more than Apple for the handset, it's considerably less than O2. So I'ma move...

Anyone with CPW and can comment on them? For the sake of £50, is it worth the move? Can I keep my number? Do I need to contact O2 and cancel their contract to take the CPW instead?
Have been with them and will never be with them again! If you really want to save money need to get phone outright (or use interest free credit card) and get a sim only network tariff going. Anything else costs a lot MORE!

Hey Brookzy, haven't seen you post yet this year! I am still thinking that the 2-3 week orders will come much earlier than Apple say, the 27th seems a bit ott to me!

Nope. Apple will charge your card in the next few days. :(

iphone 7 plus 128gb jet black and iphone 7 plus 32 gig rose gold on EE due delivery estiamted 16th

So, Apple re-enabled the stock reservation system they built for the iPhone 5S and 6 in order to allow iPhone Upgrade Program orders today, which means I was able to reactivate my stock data system (though, 28 minutes late, because I wasn't expecting it, gah)

Here's some graphs on UK wide store reservation stock. Technically, this is only for iPP sales...

My JB Plus 256gb said 26th Sept-3rd Oct. My delivery address is different and was okay for me via app.
