Can anyone cancel their orders yet? online store pick up not reserve upgrade program

So I think I've done it wrong, I want to use the Apple Upgrade Programme but I used the app which allowed me to pickup in store and give credit card details. Do you normally get charged on pickup? If so can I convert the order to the upgrade programme in store rather than paying the full price on my card?

No reserve in store in Bath, Bristol or Cardiff so I had to order online. Ordered at 8.20
Silver 256mb 7 plus - Delivery 27th-29th
SS42mm with Sport band - Delivery 2 weeks

Not brilliant but it will do. The store still says that 256mb in Silver ships in 6-8 business days

I've locked in a silver 128 plus for delivery 16th......still says we've received your order as the status.....does anyone know if I now ordered a case would this merge the orders together and potentially delay the phone?

ordered with apple via their store app at 8:10.

1x iphone 7 128gb matte black w/ apple care
1x black dock

i'm away on holiday next week (altho back on friday)- i seem to remember someone mentioning UPS mychoice before as a way of getting ups to hold the package at their centre for you to collect. anyone know whether apple disallow this, or have people been able to do this before?

I ordered on the Apple Store App on iPhone & have just noticed that it's taken my Billing Address as the Delivery Address - I did double-check this earlier in the week, and had updated my default Delivery Address which is irritating.

I guess you have to wait until the Order Status has moved from 'Received' to 'Processing' to update this ...

It can do. I got caught out once before with that when I ordered the watch last year and afterward I ordered a second band

Hey Brookzy, haven't seen you post yet this year! I am still thinking that the 2-3 week orders will come much earlier than Apple say, the 27th seems a bit ott to me!
Apple will be shipping these from China, so there's a week or so delay in that anyway. That's why the delivery date is so far out.

FWIW, My data shows there was zero stock of Black, Jet Black or Silver Plus models (128/256gb) anywhere in the UK for reservation.

Who delivers iPhones? I know DPD do a lot of Apple deliveries but in my past experience, UPS deliver phones especially on launch day.

With the shipping date not certain for me, the most important thing is that the phone gets to a UPS depot somewhere right? From then, after the first failed attempt or whatever, I can do all sorts like re-route the delivery somewhere else, set a certain time, or maybe even pickup at depot, right?

I'm asking because the only day someone will 100% be in to receive it is the launch day.

I ordered a case with mine. The default delivery option is to ship each item separately as soon as it becomes available. So neither item will delay the other.

The apple cases are due for delivery before the iphone anyway.

So, Apple re-enabled the stock reservation system they built for the iPhone 5S and 6 in order to allow iPhone Upgrade Program orders today, which means I was able to reactivate my stock data system (though, 28 minutes late, because I wasn't expecting it, gah)

Here's some graphs on UK wide store reservation stock. Technically, this is only for iPP sales...

This is really cool.

Could you use your app to constantly poll the reserve stock checker to see when a model becomes available?

Apple actually just launch a special version of their order status site on iPhone launch morning. It will just show all orders as "we've received your order" and not allow edits to reduce system load. (You can test this by viewing the status of any historic orders from the order email - they'll show "We've received your order" this morning, even if it shipped months ago!)

Give it a couple of hours and they'll turn it back on :)

So, say they do that, couldn't I just return it in person and they could charge me again using the iPhone upgrade program?
You'd think so, but I have a feeling their stock system won't allow a returned iPhone to just go back into "for sale" inventory immediately.

usually a toss-up between DPD, UK MAIL and UPS for me.

for stuff that comes directly from China its always been UPS.

for launch day stock coming from Hinkley its any of them

Yup, in theory! I've only written a couple of automated update notifications for me though, it's probably not worth the hassle of trying to build a system anyone could subscribe to.

If you're interested, the full matrix of live data is here: https://code.gladdy.uk/iphone/ (I say live, I load the data every 30 seconds at the moment so Apple don't hate me too much...)

Ok bit of advice please guys...

I'm currently with O2 and was gonna rock up into their store today to do the preorder. But today I noticed that O2 are charging ~£100 MORE for the phone than Apple do.

This is not a new thing, I've only just cottoned onto it.

So I took a look at Carphone Warehouse and for the EXACT same phone on the EXACT same monthly tariff, they want £50 LESS up front. So, while they're also charging more than Apple for the handset, it's considerably less than O2. So I'ma move...

Anyone with CPW and can comment on them? For the sake of £50, is it worth the move? Can I keep my number? Do I need to contact O2 and cancel their contract to take the CPW instead?

I did this with the 6+, No different man you are just tied in for 24 months as they don't offer the refresh.

Thanks for this.....just noticed mine has now changed to processing items......I guess now it would be safe to order case?

This is the exact reason I ordered the phone separate from the case...

Weird there's no reservation option. Just says not available.

Bit of a bummer. I didn't want to wait at home all Friday. My dad is coming over to see me over the weekend and last thing I wanted to do was to sit and wait for a phone. Unless it is pishing down in Scotland... Chances are it will be :D

So, need to decide now: iPhone 7 Plus silver delivered next Friday, or the matte black which says 26-27th of September. The black one is actually the one i wanted, but might run into difficulties as I sold my phone to Mazuma yesterday. Of course I can cancel it, but would most likely lose out money...

There are still silver iPhone 7 256GB available for pick up in store though in Scotland.

Yeah, I had a really old home address pop up as delivery, rather annoying! I checked the details a few days ago in prep and then again yesterday, bloody app!
