It can do. I got caught out once before with that when I ordered the watch last year and afterward I ordered a second bandI've locked in a silver 128 plus for delivery 16th......still says we've received your order as the status.....does anyone know if I now ordered a case would this merge the orders together and potentially delay the phone?
Apple will be shipping these from China, so there's a week or so delay in that anyway. That's why the delivery date is so far out.Hey Brookzy, haven't seen you post yet this year! I am still thinking that the 2-3 week orders will come much earlier than Apple say, the 27th seems a bit ott to me!
No reserve in store in Bath, Bristol or Cardiff so I had to order online. Ordered at 8.20
Silver 256mb 7 plus - Delivery 27th-29th
SS42mm with Sport band - Delivery 2 weeks
Not brilliant but it will do. The store still says that 256mb in Silver ships in 6-8 business days

So, Apple re-enabled the stock reservation system they built for the iPhone 5S and 6 in order to allow iPhone Upgrade Program orders today, which means I was able to reactivate my stock data system (though, 28 minutes late, because I wasn't expecting it, gah)
Here's some graphs on UK wide store reservation stock. Technically, this is only for iPP sales...
Two options for me i cant decide...
1) Trade in my iphone 5 for £90 cash
2) Keep it as a back up phone.
Nope. Apple will charge your card in the next few days.![]()
Apple actually just launch a special version of their order status site on iPhone launch morning. It will just show all orders as "we've received your order" and not allow edits to reduce system load. (You can test this by viewing the status of any historic orders from the order email - they'll show "We've received your order" this morning, even if it shipped months ago!)I ordered on the Apple Store App on iPhone & have just noticed that it's taken my Billing Address as the Delivery Address - I did double-check this earlier in the week, and had updated my default Delivery Address which is irritating.
I guess you have to wait until the Order Status has moved from 'Received' to 'Processing' to update this ...
You'd think so, but I have a feeling their stock system won't allow a returned iPhone to just go back into "for sale" inventory immediately. So, say they do that, couldn't I just return it in person and they could charge me again using the iPhone upgrade program?

Plus, their "SIM Free" iPhones lock to the network of the 1st SIM you insert.Carphone Warehouse still have all stock for delivery on the 16th. No SIM FREE options though, so if you're looking to buy outright Carphone Warehouse wont be any use to you
usually a toss-up between DPD, UK MAIL and UPS for me.Who delivers iPhones? I know DPD do a lot of Apple deliveries but in my past experience, UPS deliver phones especially on launch day.
With the shipping date not certain for me, the most important thing is that the phone gets to a UPS depot somewhere right? From then, after the first failed attempt or whatever, I can do all sorts like re-route the delivery somewhere else, set a certain time, or maybe even pickup at depot, right?
I'm asking because the only day someone will 100% be in to receive it is the launch day.
Yup, in theory! I've only written a couple of automated update notifications for me though, it's probably not worth the hassle of trying to build a system anyone could subscribe to.This is really cool.
Could you use your app to constantly poll the reserve stock checker to see when a model becomes available?
Ok bit of advice please guys...
I'm currently with O2 and was gonna rock up into their store today to do the preorder. But today I noticed that O2 are charging ~£100 MORE for the phone than Apple do.
This is not a new thing, I've only just cottoned onto it.
So I took a look at Carphone Warehouse and for the EXACT same phone on the EXACT same monthly tariff, they want £50 LESS up front. So, while they're also charging more than Apple for the handset, it's considerably less than O2. So I'ma move...
Anyone with CPW and can comment on them? For the sake of £50, is it worth the move? Can I keep my number? Do I need to contact O2 and cancel their contract to take the CPW instead?

Weird there's no reservation option. Just says not available.
