What is iStock?

I'm wanting a Plus, also based in Edinburgh however I'm going through O2. They say they won't have stock until Nov 30th.

I think it's istocknow.com must be better than the Apple Store app, I checked it this morning for Edinburgh and it said there were none :(

Ah OK, see it now. Thanks for that.

I can't believe the difficulty in getting a Plus this year! O2 have been brutal the way they're treating Refresh customers as well, I can't even pre-order as I have to do it the same time as handing my current phone back.

I've got the 6S Plus which is a great phone, I just always like having the newest one.

Really? That's pretty shocking, I thought O2 started Refresh up to avoid all of that nonsense.
Suppose there's not a lot of stock to go around and lots of us wanting our new toys ;)

As did I! That was exactly how it was sold to me anyway.

I've always upgraded to the new iPhone each year, using Envirofone to lock in a price the day before the announcement. Each time I'd have enough to pay off my current contract, usually with around £20 profit. Nothing massive, but all I wanted was a way to upgrade without being out of pocket each year.

Signed up to the Refresh contract, knowing there would be no profit as I'd just be handing back the phone to upgrade. This wasn't a concern of mine as all I want is the new model each year.

So I signed up for this Refresh contract, on the most expensive consumer plan at the time, happy in the thought I'd be at the front of the queue next year. The exact opposite has happened.

I don't blame O2 for the lack of supply, I get that's down to Apple. But for me to not even be able to put my name on the list. I have to wait until they are in stock, in store, before I a can start the upgrade process. That means everyone that orders online, my model, is automatically in front of me. And, everyone in the same situation as me will be heading straight to the stores when they're available, making it no doubt even harder to get my hands on one!

Very disappointed!

Yeah that is very disappointing, particularly as you say O2 make Refresh sound like gods gift to get you to sign up.
I know Apple are having difficulty keeping up with demand, that's pretty standard for an iPhone launch. But I think this year even Apple we're surprised by the demand.

Still, O2 could definitely be handling the situation better I'd think.

Just got a jet black plus 128gb for pick up tomorrow in Belfast.

Went on the app it said available tomorrow but I clicked on it and it went back to "currently unavailable". I added it to my bag anyway and went to check out and it had tomorrow as pick up available. So happy the saga is over. Will be cancelling my November delivery order once I collect mine :-D

Picked up my iPhone 7 plus 128GB Jet Black from Covent Garden this evening after reserving it at 11.30am this morning.

It's literally the most beautiful iPhone I've ever held!

Returned my previous 7+ Matt black and I noticed the Jet Black 7+ seems heavier in hand compared to that. Definitely got that premium feel and is definitely grippier than the slippery Matt black.

I was there today to collect my 256 JB. Have you noticed around the edges under bright light that there are lots of dotted lines? You can't notice it unless under direct bright lighting?

for those who want that jet black now now - go to www.istocknow.com - you will see they are in London stores - white city and convent garden - mine is on the way from Apple by flight so it would be way too complicated to cancel and go get these but others might find it easier ;0

Congrats man, I also owned a MB until I managed to reserve a JB yesterday and thought the same about the weight of the phone. It does seem heavier!

Yes totally noticed the dotted lines from the start. I thought it was just from the manufacturing. Wondering is this normal on all Jet Blacks? Matt black didn't have this

So was at Stratford city earlier. Went to John Lewis and contemplated getting the 7. Took a walk, went to the Apple store. Comparing the 7 and 7 Plus. Was told there was no stock. Observed someone who reserved an iPhone but did not proceed with it. Quickly reached out to the employee holding the phone and asked if I could buy it. Holding a 7 Plus Black 256 GB now.

Recon anything will happen with it Brookzy??
As in an official response from Apple? No chance.

I'm still puzzled as to whether it's been resolved yet because I thought Week 40 onwards was resolved however I believe @jamesgooner picked his up today (so should be a Week 40) and it exhibits the effect.

I'm sure all are within an accepted manufacturing tolerance though. And it's only at a very particular angle and intensity of light that the reflections appear.
